Hotel d'Amiens

Paris|0.63km from Snoobar Restaurant Libanais
We were very pleasantly surprised with this 3-star budget hotel in the 10th Arrondisement of Paris. Our party of two had booked a twin room for three nights, with one guest only staying for one night due to travel circumstances. Here’s what we liked about the hotel: 1. The room was extremely spacious, with two double beds which were very comfortable. 2. The interior presentation of the room was fairly contemporary, decorated in a shade of pale grey with accents of maroon. A large window bathed the room in light; there were appropriate black-out curtains for a comfortable sleep. 3. The room was street-facing, but the street is not a main road and the noise level was negligible. 4. The room was spotlessly clean, and smelt fresh. 5. The bathroom was very spacious. Towels were changed daily. Some basic toiletries were provided though we always travel with our own. The shower area needed a shower curtain to contain the spray, as the water tended to go everywhere. 6. A kettle, and sachets of tea and coffee were provided in the room. 7. Breakfast is provided at an additional charge in a small dining room beside the Reception area; we did not have breakfast at the hotel. 8, The hotel offered good wifi with easy connectivity and reasonable download speed. There were ample power sockets for charging devices. 9. Reception staff were courteous and welcoming; the Reception area appeared to be staffed all the time. 10. The hotel is budget friendly, the daily room rate is good value for the standard of accommodation provided. 11. The hotel is in a good location. It’s equidistant between Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est; both mainline stations and their Metro stations are no more than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The heart of Montmartre is a 30 minute walk away. The only thing we didn’t particularly like about the location of the hotel was the the plethora of young males gathering around in the streets in the afternoon and evening, trying to discreetly sell you cigarettes and other goods. Hotel guests just need their wits about them when walking to the stations, and to make sure belongings and wallets and purses are safe. We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

I stayed in this hotel with my 6 year old daughter from the 24th of July til the 28th of July and I must say I did not have the best experience there. Firstly in my booking that I made with booking.com it said that the price included breakfast so I was shocked to hear that I had to pay for my daughter 4 days of breakfast on top. It said clearly breakfast was included.. If I book a room for both of us and the breakfast is included surely it is for both of us?? I sent several messages to get a refund but they never reply and before my trip I sent them emails about my trip but never got any replies. Also I found the staff extremely rude and unhelpful when I was asking for things when I was there, especially a black tall guy who was just rolling his eyes and staring even when I asked for an iron like it was a problem. When I asked for directions instead of actually explaining things to me I was just given a map, maybe as the English was not very good but I think hotel staff should speak sufficient English. Breakfast was good selection but once again the staff there hardly smiled always seemed rushed and pushing through the queues putting down their croissants, very rude. I been working 22 years as cabin crew so I know what good customer service is like. Also they put a transaction hold of £70 on my debit card that has not been refunded. Lastly I should have checked the location better but coming back late at night is not very safe at all, especially with a young daughter. Lots of dodgy people around.

O stayed this hotel last week. We booked from the hotel reception for the airport shuttle ( 1 day before we leave hotel) and we paid part of the fee. the same day our country stopped international flights and we wanted to return. my mother’s shuttle reservation was earlier than mine. so i wanted to go with her. ı told them ı could pay again, this is a urgent situation. but receptionist was rude, and one old woman on reception ( dont recognize) yelled us. “just one person, who is” When i Said you’re rude to receptionist, the receptionist spoke like he was kidding. we had to call a taxi. Receptionist complained in his own language, although he knew we didn't understand Eventually, this is not friendly approach. we could be stuck there. we have already reached the last moment. no one can shout at someone. Lastly, I hope you won't be sick in that dirty place.

The location is very close to the North Train and there are many restaurants around. Easy to eat. However, the English staff at the hotel front desk was average and inefficient. Ink. Ink. The elevator clearly stated that it was possible to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk and said no when asked. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are small. For the first time in Paris, think about finding a place to leave the station and go to the airport. But to be honest, it wasn't worth it. Later I learned to take the subway, only to find that as long as it is close to the subway entrance.

Old-fashioned French hotel, very clean, common in French old movies, the elevator is very small, first open a wooden door, then push-pull elevator doors, the room is small, the bathtub is also very small, different experience.

The hotel's own room card says 3 stars. Not as good as 3 stars. The service was good, but the room was too small, we were in the attic again, the curtains were not blocking the light, the pulls could not be pulled together, and the door gaps were leaking. At noon more than 1 in the middle of the night, the smoke alarm in the corridor sounded a long time, terrified the family, went down to ask the front desk, and the front desk said indifferently that it could only wait for it to stop automatically. There is no breakfast, and the place to watch breakfast is very small. The only advantage is the good location.
