Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel

Champs Elysées Paris|0.32km from Sud Ouest Cafe
I was debating between a 4 or 5 star review but had to go with 4. The hotel itself is located a short 3 minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe and the Metro station. The property is very nice and the staff was excellent, English was really spoken as were many other languages. The breakfast was excellent, I'd recommend the package with breakfast included. Two reasons for the one star reduction. First, the hotel has 2 elevators. One was foam when we checked in and had been for some time. Having one elevator in a hotel with 118 rooms becomes problematic at busy times and we waited for 5 elevators more than once. It looks like either the elevator was damaged by water or mechanical or a renovation was planned, but.. I think it was the former as a renovation is done and workers are present and the situation scheduled. This was just a sign and apologies. The second issue was one evening we came back to the hotel from a day out all day to find our bathroom had 1 towel, not a full size but a bath mat sized towel. We were informed their towel service didn't return the towels that day. We baked and a second small towel showed up but, that was not well planned out. The GM did apologize profusely, but it seemed like poor inventory control to hand zero stock on hand. Otherwise, great location, fantastic staff, rooms are decent sized and well appointed. Ask the staff for recommendations on restaurants and cafes, they are all knowledge

Mercure Paris Arc de Triomphe Etoile

Paris|0.13km from Sud Ouest Cafe
This was our second stay in Paris at a Mercure Hotel, and the 1st one at this location. Close access to metro, taxi station and convenience of a great bakery and a supermarket. 5-7 minute walk to the Arc de triomphe and the popular The Avenue des Champs-Elysée. An extremely clean facility with very professional, pleasant, and hospitable staff. To make the long story short, we had to get out of our reservations with another hotel due to false advertisement and needed to get a place to stay, literally at the last minute. Monsieur Laurent, was the kind gentleman at the front desk at Mercure who patiently and kindly helped us with our reservation and got us into the last available suite they had and took a great care of us. From that point on, every staff member from housekeeping to the dining area as well as the other front desk staff at various shifts, followed suite with genuine kindness, hospitality and care. They literally saved our trip from turning into a disaster because of our original travel package hotel reservation! The room was very clean, extremely comfortable bed and pullout sofa, perfect temperature with a very comfortable shower system. The balcony was the cherry on the cake; we had the view of the streets and rooftops of Paris, just like what you see in the movies. Quiet and peaceful, not noisy. The breakfast area was extremely clean and the service was superb. The breakfast line up was very well rounded with fresh breads, croissants, variety cheeses, juices, coffees, and of course eggs, bacon, and sausage as well as variety of cold cuts, fruits and jams; everything was always fresh with the best presentation. Safe area with a ton of places to shop. My family and I will most definitely stay at this location again and highly recommend it to all.

Doisy Etoile - Orso Hotels

Paris|0.2km from Sud Ouest Cafe
The Doisy Étoile is truly a boutique hotel situated in the busy Les Ternes area in Paris on L'Avenue des Ternes which is well-provided with a variety of shops for clothes and footwear. As with such hotels in Paris, the rooms are compact, although there are some larger rooms offering a little more space. There is a lift between floors, although guests have to ascend/descend a few steps to reach their assigned floor. The larger rooms have walk-in showers, whereas the smaller rooms have step-in bath/showers. In the bathroom, shampoo and body soap dispensers are found in the shower area, and a hand soap dispenser at the sink. The hot water is delightfully hot with good water pressure. Towels are large and fluffy, and are changed daily if required. Housekeeping is very efficient, keeping the rooms clean and fresh. Breakfast (07:00 - 11:00) cost at the time of writing EURO 15, but is well-worth that with bottomless ”designer” coffee, a variety of teas (with teapots for the multiple cup drinkers). Honey is on the buffet for those who like honey in their tea, and lemon slices are cheerfully provided for the lemon tea drinkers. There is also bottomless chilled fresh orange juice. Butter is freely available for those like me who like a bit of toast with their butter,, and a variety of spreads including several types of honey. The croissants are massive and delightfully buttery and fluffy, and the pains au chocolat are the largest I have enjoyed ... delicious. These pastries and the slice-your-own crusty and ready-sliced bread are provided daily from a nearby boulangerie. A toaster is provided. There is a device so we can cook our own boiled eggs as we wish, and freshly scrambled eggs are available on request. A variety of cheeses adorn the cheeseboard, and there is chilled sliced ham. The staff are wonderful, and provide an excellent service. During the day, the spacious breakfast room could be used for work or just sitting about and chatting with co-travellers, with tea and coffee freely available, and staff to provide a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks when required. I was there on business, so I cannot give details of times into the centre of Paris for sightseeing, but I would image a 10-15 minute taxi ride would take you there easily. The management are fantastic, accommodating and extremely friendly. I will definitely stay there again!

Villa Alessandra

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. There was always someone available at reception to assist us and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early afternoon and were checked in right away and were able to leave our bags on the last day until we headed to the airport. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and in a good location for access to trains, the metro and buses. I would definitely recommend staying at Villa Alessandra!

Wonderful Hotel. This hotel is lovely. We stayed as a family in early December and found nothing to complain about. The family sized room is a good size for Paris and perfect size for the four of us. The room was clean and well appointed. We had a cute little courtyard- which would have been lovely in Summer. The hotel location is perfect- with a cute little market nearby and a handful of mini supermarkets and fresh food shops close. Walking distance to most major sites in Paris. The breakfast was hot, fresh food and delicious. We loved this hotel the most from our Europe Trip.

The location is good, you can reach the subway entrance and the Arc de Triomphe in 10 minutes! The room is small, and the bathroom has to hold the shower by itself! I stayed for six nights in total, and I took care of cleaning a few days ago, but left it alone in the last two days! There was a staff member at the front desk who had a bad attitude! Very arrogant! Overall, it’s a good deal to live in Paris on this vacation, but...

EN/ The room is small, normal for Paris, the bathroom is TINY, and the water from the shower gets all over the bathroom. Over that, I think this is a great hotel, many restaurants and store near by! And of course, the Arc of Triumph Oh, and the hairdryer doesn’t work over 10 minutes of use The room is small, normal for Paris, but the bathroom is very small, the water from the shower is swallowed into the bathroom because there is no curtain. Besides that, the hotel has an excellent location, near stores and restaurants, and of course the Arc of the Triumph! Ah, and the hair dryer stops working after 10 minutes of use
