A bit away from the city center but quiet enough and very clean, good for couples, families, anyone who visits Rockhampton in any purpose. There is also a very nice restaurant by the side of the poor with a very nice view. Though a bit high in cost but highly recommended.

I arrived late and the manager left the key in the box. He was extremely polite on the phone and asked if I wanted upstairs or down. He gave me a cosy room overlooking the pool. There were people milling around on the stairs or outside their doors but they were fine. Overall I felt this was good value for money. The rooms are slightly different to the photo's and it is obviously an older establishment but it was clean and cosy.

Very run down motel. We booked on the day of stay and arrived late. The text communication from the Manager was good and key left in the safe for us upon arrival. The room was either undergoing an upgrade Or was very run down, not sure of which. There were holes in the wall and sections of the wall where paint was missing in places where it was obvious old cupboards had been. The occupants of the room next door sat outside our room most of the night smoking with the smoke coming right on in. Designated smoking areas would be a good idea ( away from the rooms) The hot water system from the room next door sounded like a train in our room .

🧹 Health: First of all, health really needs to be strengthened. We stayed at night. There was no 24h front desk. Unidentified stains were found on the sheets. I could sleep on the other side at night. 🚗 Traffic: It's all driving here, but at least explain how to check in and parking on the reservation email. The hotel is on the roadside. If you don't have a room card, you can't enter the garage. When you check in, the car can't stop and help the road. There are several parking spaces on the roadside are full. Finally, you can put a person off the bus to check in, and the driver circled.

First stay at this hotel. Pretty quiet but check in was easy and comfortable. Recognised my Gold status and offered all the appropriate benefits. Room as basic but comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Will stay here again when travelling to Brisbane from FNQ/

Stayed at the Denison last night. It was a wonderful experience. The decor is Victorian/Federation and the facilities were tasteful, clean and very comfortable. The staff greeted us cordially and made us welcome even thought it was quite late in the day. The room was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended if you want to stay in a place that oozes old world charm from a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences. Our only observation was that the bed, whilst huge and comfortable had a mattress and pillows softer than we are used to. That is not a criticism, just a personal preference. Otherwise, perfect.
