The room was lovely, with a Japanese style. I booked this guesthouse for two nights because I was planning to hike the Kumano Kodo Chuhero route. The owner was very welcoming and attentive. I booked a room that included the outdoor bath. Staying only one night might be a bit too much. I booked a one-night, two-meal package. Without meals in the mountains, you'd probably only be able to eat instant noodles. The Kumano beef served here was excellent. There's also a dedicated bus stop at the entrance with direct buses to Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Shingu.

An old hot spring hotel located at the innermost of Tangfeng Hot Spring Street. You need to climb a small slope. Those with suitcases need to pay attention. You should be able to ask the hotel to pick you up. The hotel room is spacious and the facilities are a bit old, but the hygiene is good, the service staff is lovely, the dinner is also a standard Japanese set meal, the large bathroom has open-air and indoor, the water temperature is hot enough, you can recover your physical strength very well, and there is a car to take you to the bus station of Tangfeng Street in the morning.

Stayed for two consecutive days. The hotel staff was very friendly and could communicate in English. The hotel is older, and the facilities are basic but adequate. My room wasn't very large, but it was very clean.

The room was very clean. The landlady was kind and could communicate in Chinese using a translation software. I ordered her breakfast for 800 yen and it was very comfortable. I didn’t know what to choose from the meal. I just ate what she made and I was very satisfied. This B&B can pick you up from the station. I don’t speak Japanese, so I can only walk there. When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant.
