Michelangelo Grand Hotel

Old Town Prague|1.48km from Portheimka Buquoyka - letohrádek
This hotel is in the historic town centre near Wenceslas Square and Mustek Metro Station which connects to all places in Prague. Although centrally situated and within walking distance to tram, bars, restaurants and shops, it is an extremely quiet hotel. The welcome we had was so warm and welcoming, different to other hotels I have stayed in, there is water and sweets in the area and a lovely Gentleman at the door who gave us a warm welcome not just the first day but always had a friendly smile for us every day and the reception staff are very helpful, especially the young lady who helped us to get to the airport. We stayed on the second floor number 123 which had a huge bed, beautiful linen and plush pillows with cushions too, it was decorated lovely and had a fridge, air con and coffee machine. The bathroom was big and plenty of hot water and shampoo, shower gel, etc. which was replaced throughout our stay. The whole of the hotel is spotless clean, well so is Prague. The breakfast, well nobody could complain about it as it had something for even the fussiest of eaters. There was fruit juices, water, coffee, an assortment of teas, detox drink, cereals, fruit, cakes, different kinds of bread and rolls, cooked assortment and cold assortment with the most gorgeous cheese I have ever tasted. Croissants, small and large with chocolate and jams and lots of different fresh fruit, tinned fruit, yoghurts and a lovely pot with different layers of chocolate, fruit and yoghurt. Amazing breakfast, my niece is going to Prague and I have told her to stay at this hotel as it just hits all spots for me.

More than positive experience, the structure is located near the tram stops, bus and metro connected magnificently to reach all the most important places to visit, and about 300 metres from the bus stop 191 that connects to the airport. Suites with balcony, very comfortable and spacious, well-provided and equipped kitchen with everything like boiler, toaster, microwave oven, varied cereals, marmelade, nutelline, the, coffee. In the refrigerator we found: yogurt, water, butter, fresh fruit, cheese ... all included in the price. I advise anyone who wants to visit Prague to enjoy this facility, I will certainly do so.

The location is not far away, there is a bus to the airport and the train station at the entrance, there is also a direct bus to the scenic spot, there is also a big shopping mall and a large supermarket nearby, I think it is more convenient, but the location is not the city center, the price is affordable, cost-effective , accommodation and domestic standards, the requirements are not high, absolutely no problem, the receptionist service is superb, the breakfast is not much, but the taste is OK

Loved this hotel, me and my partner visited this hotel 21st of march until friday 24th as a couple from wales in the UK on a budget we booked this as it was central and really good value for money, from the moment we arrived we felt really comfortable check in was swift and straight forward and the lady who checked us in was nice and polite, to be honest all the staff were so welcoming and lovely. The rooms was basic but very clean and comfortable, the lifts could be frustrating but no big deal but i would have easily walked to 3rd floor but didnt see any stairs to do so, breakfast was enjoyable and plenty of it, the bar area had a really lovely atmosphere and a good pint of starapromen for a good price. We were out most of the day enjoying the sites of this amazing city and evenings enjoying the bars and restaurants around the hotel and further across the bridge. Can honestly say it was an amazing first visit to prague and not the last hopefully, will definetly reccomend this hotel and hope to visit again one day..děkuji

The location is very good. It is near the tram stop and bus stop for the airport. There is a little dust on the sofa and in the nooks of the room. The hair dryer is not very good, if you have long hair you will need at least half an hour to dry it. The management system is not very good, before I checked out, someone knocked and opened my room door at 9 a.m. (check out time is 12 p.m.) I didn't know who it was but I thought it was the housekeeper. However, the receptionist is very nice and you can leave your luggage after checking out.

My stay got off to a bad start. When I got to the room there was no kettle so I went to reception to ask for one. The young guy told me I couldn't have one; he also suggested I use the coffee machine for hot water, but I've tried that in other places and they make the tea taste of coffee. I then returned to the room, and found that the safe was broken and the TV didn't work. So I went back down to reception and asked for these things to be fixed, pointing out that if they couldn't be fixed, I'd need to move to another room. I was then offered an ”upgrade” to a room with a river view. The view was beautiful, but the room was only about half the size of the first one. Everything worked, though the bathroom was disappointing, as there was no proper shower, only a shower over the bath. Getting in was awkward, getting out just plain dangerous. I don't understand how, in Europe, with its ageing population, hotels haven't woken up to the need to avoid risk to their guests. After all the to-ing and fro-ing at the beginning, and despite the bathroom, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the location was great, and far enough from the main tourist sights to be quiet. The staff were delightful - the breakfasts were good, and the hotel itself was immaculately presented. In the end I was sorry to leave; I'd be very happy to return, just with my own kettle.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of Prague,Smichov District when we spotted this pub in a hotel building and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, two rooms, one for dining, the other for drinks, this is were we chose to sit in this very cosy pub enviroment . We ordered beers from Primator Brewery ,these were served in pristine condition being light and hoppy and with the distinctive foamy head so characteristic of the way Czech beer is poured and served,we just kicked back and planned out the day ahead in this lovely pub. Beer was really good, served iced cold and sparkling ,it was just what we needed to quench our thirst on a really hot afternoon ,bar staff were also cool, spoke great English,up for a laugh. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with the pub housed in Hotel Anette which is easily found along Svornovski.
