Our vacation, 11-15 Dec 2023, in Be Live Marien, Puerto Plata was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we were placed and treated as VIPs. The hotel has aged, however, clean and well Kept. The service outstanding! I would like to thank Luis at the VIP lounge bar, who served us our first drink, Francis, Roberto, Cecilia and Josefina at Dining, among others, who were extremely hospitable and helpful. The food was great and presentable. The activities and shows, even though it rained on our last two days, decided to go to the sport bar and had a great time drinking and dancing, and again, great service.
We are going back! in 2024.

The worst experience in terms of facilities, food, entertainment, customer service, that I have been able to receive, I booked aware that it was 5 stars and from the entrance it projects you that it does not have even 2 stars, at 12am you can see the full pool cats drinking water, it was for sure the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.

We stay for 4 nights and it was pretty good!
Pros - The location is great. Very safe and close to city center. The staff were all amazing. So kind and helpful. The pool is super nice, lots of daily activities, the beach is perfect. Brazilian restaurant was awesome. Buffet was pretty good for all meals.
Cons - The room was not great. Needs updating and a deep cleaning. AC barely worked so the room was damp and musty. Mexican restaurant was bleh. Construction was happening on a few buildings right next to the beach so it was loud at times.
Overall, not bad for the price.

Felt very cheap the entire time. Service is unattentive and slow. If food is an important aspect of your vacation, skip this resort. The beach is not great. They ran out of towels by 10am. Shows are lacking. Wouldnt go again.

Hotel is old, rooms need attention but i would still go back. Staff were great, buffet food was actually pretty good. We liked it better than the restaurant options. Pool could use a bit more shade. Night entertainment was good- staff worked the crowd until midnight. They did try to schedule appointment with timeshare/tour company but we just didn't show up and they didnt pester us too much.

The property was smaller but quaint. We felt safe at the resort traveling with our daughters for this vacation. Most all of the staff were friendly but the folks running the “Walmart” in the front of the resort were too pushy to even look at anything which was terrible. The food was average at the buffet and restaurants as well as the drinks. There were a few items that were great but mostly average. The gym had enough equipment to get in a good workout. The entertainment staff were great and we had fun doing activities. Overall we give it an average rating.

When I arrived I was in shock..I literally thought I was at the wrong place. Didn’t look anything like the photos on *******. Only 1 restaurant open besides the buffet, not 4 or 5 as advertised and 2 of them aren’t even apart of the all inclusive you have to pay to eat there. The 1 restaurant had basically the same food as the buffet. The beach bar is open anytime but is gross. The bed was awful, my back was killing me from the springs in the bed. The front desk was rude.I would never go back here. Even if I got an upgraded room …Lifestyle/Cofresi, Senator are wayyyyy better
