Buganvillas Hotel Suites
3.6/515 Reviews
The environment of the hotel is first-rate, the green area is large, and the floor is wooden floor, which is relatively high-end, and the swimming pool is also large. In the case of a suite, there are three rooms. The price of the room is calculated according to the number of rooms. A room is about 50 dollars. In addition, each room basically has a toilet, there are two rooms downstairs, two toilets, a living room, a kitchen, and there is only one room and one toilet on the second floor. Can basically guarantee the needs of the family
Marriott Santa Cruz de la Sierra Hotel

The hotel is good in all respects and is a very good hotel in Santa Cruz. The location is a bit far from the central square and requires a taxi. It is $17 to take a taxi to the airport. Santa Cruz, the second largest city in Bolivia, is an economically developed plain city, known as the “Shanghai” of Bolivia. On the way from the airport to the hotel, we seem to have come to the tropical South Sea, all the way green and subtropical, and the plateau Uyuni, which departs in the morning, is just two worlds, two climates.
Swissotel Santa Cruz de La Sierra

About as high-end a hotel as you'll find in Bolivia, though it's beginning to show its age (for instance there are a lot of cracked windows, and the rooftop pool/bar would provide an even more wonderful view if the perspex screen around it wasn't in so much need of a good cleaning). Most clients appear to be in tour groups or on business trips. I showed up after 3 days in the jungle covered in sweat and mud, and they seemed keen to get me out of the lobby as quickly as possible. It's at the end of a cul de sac and a bit of a slog from the nearest shops, restaurants, etc, but as a place to unwind after some hard trekking it fit the bill. I suspected (later confirmed) I had broken two ribs while trekking, and want to give particular props to the masseur who did absolutely the right thing by declining my appointment request and advising me to just take it easy - his professionalism probably saved my back further damage and I don't know too many in his position who would have made that call. Thank you.

The room is a little smaller, but very clean and tidy. You can see the beautiful city view of SANTA CRUZ outdoors. There is a big supermarket next to the hotel and a restaurant next to the supermarket. Shopping and eating are very convenient.

Last night we were left waiting for over an hour in the lobby while the front desk tried to sort out a “lost” reservation. I had my 3 kids, including my 4 month infant. Management was not helpful even though I had my email confirmation of my reservation. Hotel staff asked to see proof of payment on my credit card, which I provided, and then they said the only solution was to charge me twice until they could sort out the missing reservation on their end. It had been almost an hour waiting in the lobby at that point so I told them it was fine to charge me again while they sort it out. I looked at my receipt and it was 2x the amount it should have been, so was I was charged 3x! I asked them to refund me the new charges and we left at 1am to go to a different hotel. I’m still left with dealing with Priceline for the first set of charges. Management was NOT helpful and if this is the hospitality they show at check in then we are not interested in ever staying here again. We’ve stayed at Marriott down the road a dozen times with no issues.
Hotel Cortez

Hotel Cortez is located in the 3rd ring of Santa Cruz across from the main police station. it has a restaurant, with a very good breakfast, a pool, a gym, great service and large rooms with an excellent shower. the city has grown so much, so quickly, that the newer barrios have moved away from the hotel. the hotel is about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main square and a ten to 15 minute drive to the newer part of the city. the hotel could use a facelift, but the rooms are comfortable.
