The location is extremely advantageous. It is located in Potsdamer Platz in the center of Berlin, so the safety factor is very high (unlike East Berlin and other places where it is very chaotic). It is a one-person trip! Highly recommend this place; you can walk to the Berlin Philharmonic Hall and Brandenburg after saving. Famous attractions include the Gate and the Berlin Film Museum.
The room area is very large, starting at 40m². We recommend the king bed room with a view. The window faces the main street and the scenery and lighting are very good. Breakfast quality is very good!

Just completed a five night stay at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff is extremely knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area and Berlin in general. My room was wonderful and the breakfast superb. The executive lounge was well stocked and the staff helpful. Highly recommend this centrally located hotel for your next visit.

The Berlin Marriott is a star. My husband had business in the area so we enjoyed an extended stay in Berlin. Others who stayed closer to the conference weren’t very happy with their experience, but the Marriott made our trip so enjoyable. It would be hard to beat this location. Near the Brandenburg Gate and an easy walk to many of the must-see attractions it allowed me to make the most of my time. I walked in Tiergarten every day. From the excellent first impression (thanks, Cesare) throughout our stay I always felt like I was coming home when I entered the lobby. The wonderful doorman with glasses always had a smile for me (thank you!). We were in room 868 facing Ebertstraße. I expected street noise considering it’s facing the main road but it was honestly one of the most quiet hotel experiences I’d ever had. It’s right in the middle of everything yet so serene. The staff are top-notch. The concierge was friendly and very helpful. The whole operation feels exceptionally well managed. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It even smells good! Our room was very comfortable and had a terrific view. We had a lot of ironing to do and my husband commented on the “fantastic” iron. Little details like that made the business side of this trip less stressful. It also seemed very secure. On our early departure morning we saw the night associates near the door - nothing was going to get past them without them noticing. We found the lobby bar to be relaxing and a great spot to catch up with others in our group. If you’re looking for a quick bite definitely try The Big Dog which is attached to the hotel. Our group really enjoyed our lunch there and Loris was so welcoming. My only suggestion for improvement would be they should replace the instant coffee that’s in the room with a regular coffee maker or Keurig. (Plenty of coffee options at breakfast though - either regular coffee served by staff or you can use the machine where you can push a button and have a specialty coffee in seconds. I think they keep a carafe of coffee right at breakfast check-in so you can grab some in a to-go cup.) On a side note - our early morning taxi to Berlin Brandenburg airport was €50.50. Taxis are always lined up right next to the hotel. I’m home now and really missing our peaceful home base in Berlin.

This was our second time at this hotel and I just want to say what an outstanding stay it was. From the check in at reception to the amazing staff to the rooms and to everything else, it was excellent. This hotel only gets better and better. Keep the service up. All of the service was excellent. I am not mentioning names as there will be to many names to mention and every single member of staff was lovely. I will recommend it to everyone I know going to the Berlin. It is a feeling of home and I am now sitting back at home, and cannot wait for our next time.

The location of Hilton Berlin is fantastic and the exterior of the hotel plus the lobby is very beautiful. Very walkable location with many surrounding dining and sightseeing options. Overall, housekeeping was good. The rooms run fairly small and look dated, so value for money is not that great. Bathroom is clean but not very well-maintained, especially the toilet. The check-in concierge staff were ok but I would expect friendlier and more proactive service for the price we were paying and being a diamond member as well. The staff who was a blonde lady with glasses checked me in and out and was the friendliest staff i encountered during my stay. Rarely did the other staff smile or greet us when we walked past them and they generally did not have great customer service skills, and generally just unfriendly. The front door concierge and door staff were much friendlier and greeted us more than the check-in staff. I also had a very terrible experience with the night security staff when my friend and I came back to the hotel around 6 am after a night out. We walked in and were stopped by a man who was not wearing any uniform, or any attire to signal he was working at the Hilton, and in regular clothes, he was a bit hard to understand because he had a thick accent, and I thought he might be another patron at the hotel or a taxi driver, so I politely smiled at him and said “no thank you” and walked towards the elevator. He got extremely angry, began shouting at me, and said he was a worker there and showed me his keys with a Hilton keychain. He wanted to verify that we had a room key. While we were taking out the key, he was calling me rude and dismissive and that I was a terrible person. It was so jarring because there was no need to be that rude, he was acting like I shooed him away when I’m reality it was a miscommunication. He then went into the back of the concierge to complain about me loudly, didn’t even wait till I was out of earshot. It was hard to identify him as a staff, much less security, and I didn’t need to be scolded like a child. Overall, very unprofessional and made the remainder of my stay feel much more sour. I can look past the dated rooms because I know that is out of the staff’s control at that point of time. But unprofessional and unfriendly staff make the value of my stay and diamond member status much worse.

I was attending a conference in Berlin and stayed at the Adlon Kempinski Hotel, adjacent to the Brandenburg Gate, close to the Reichstag Building, and not too far from the Victory Column. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room is not too big and relatively compact, but the facilities are complete, the bedding is excellent, and you can have a good rest. The breakfast conditions are very good, with complete dishes, rich fruits and elegant environment.

We are just home from Berlin & this beautiful hotel. We had an amazing stay. The hotel location is wonderful in a leafy quiet street with a small shopping mall underneath & just a 15 minute walk from the main attractions in West Berlin. The nearest subway is a 2 minute walk away too. We had a room on the 5th floor with a balcony, the room was extremely spacious with a brilliant shower. Breakfast was fantastic & all the staff were so helpful & made our stay in Berlin so special, thank you, we will be back ❤️

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe arrived to a friendly welcome at this lovely hotel . Excellent room, well appointed with a modern ensuite bathroom . Breakfast was a well laid out buffet with plenty of choice . Staff were once again very friendly and courteous with pots of tea or coffee served at the table . The hotel was well placed for sightseeing Berlin and we would thoroughly recommend it if that is the purpose of your visit . The foyer has a unique and fascinating light display which is a lovely feature to watch in the evening with a quiet drink . We understand that there is a pool and gym facility but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit that section of the hotel during our three night stay .
LLINThe style is unique and the interior is tastefully decorated. The room and bathroom are large. Facilities and equipment are very good. Convenient transportation, walking distance to the hub of the transportation hub zoo, very convenient by train, s-Bahn, u-bahn. There are restaurants nearby, not far from the famous street. There is also the Berlin University of the Arts. The staff are friendly and friendly. Waking up in the garbage truck one morning, a little regret. In addition, the hotel can use fitness equipment. Free water bar.

This hotel is overall very good. Easy access to several trams and U Bhan 10 min walk. There were plenty of staff and all very helpful. The room was good and the bed was amazing. Some small amounts of wear and tear in the room but still chic. The bathroom was great with Molton Brown soap and shampoo. Some nice touches generally. The main down issue was the lift, whilst the rooms were generally very quiet, we were opposite the lift. Being there for 8 nights it was distracting more than noisy. Personally, considering the time we were staying, I think they should have allocated a different room that was quieter. The other key point is that breakfast is 32 euros per person. It's really expensive, we tried it once, and it's good, but it's not that good. We found amazing places for half the price. The restaurant and bar area is, however, fantastic and the staff very courteous. If the hotel is open to advice, we would change the restaurant menu to encourage wider use, consider a cheaper breakfast offer, and check staffing levels, as they seem quite high. Overall recommend, great experience
GGuest UserUnfortunately, the pool was closed and the sauna was required to login and the sauna area was able to use just 1 hour. The opening hours of the sauna from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekends are absolutely unacceptable for such a luxury hotel. We were very angry about it. When booking we have not received any information about the time in the spa is so regulated and it is completely closed in the pool area. At the reception, we received information that the pool was closed due to energy saving measures and also lacked staff. We believe that then the overnight prices must be adjusted accordingly if a significant part of the services cannot be provided. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our stay as we intended!

GGuest UserFour things to know about this hotel before you book. 1. If you book early you will pay more. 311 euros a night booked three months ahead. 200 euros a night booked three weeks ahead. Look at any booking website. 2. On check-in they take the full amount of your stay from your credit card, plus a 50 euros a day deposit ”in case you use the mini-bar”. (In fact the mini-bar is empty - see photo). This might be a problem if you have credit limit issues. 3. They use sweaty, clammy poly-cotton bed-linen - see photo of label. You cannot change hotels because they have already trousered your money. To sleep properly we had to buy our own fully cotton bed-linen - see photo of receipt. The reason they use poly-cotton is explained on the manufacturer's website: ”Bed linen must be lightweight...thus allowing staff to work faster....Experience shows that savings of 5 to 10% can be achieved”. Nothing about the comfort of guests. The staff say that all Westin hotels use poly-cotton. Totally unacceptable in a serious hotel and we shall not stay in a Westin hotel again. 4. Because of the hotel's layout, most bedrooms are 50 to 120 meters from the elevators. In the course of a day you can easily walk a kilometre or more to and from your room. In other respects it is well positioned, if you wish to be in Mitte, the breakfast is good, and the staff are professional and helpful to the extent that the chain allows. Garden rooms are a very little bit smaller than rooms on the street, but much quieter and a few have a balcony.

This hotel just doesn't work. We chose it for its great location and interesting history, but its desire to be cool sacrifices any real comfort. Almost everything is dark and is trying to be what? Mysterious? Not sure. This includes the lobby, making check in... interesting. The only area that's bright (during the day) is the beautiful restaurant. I think that might be the reason there are so many photos of it in the other reviews. We booked a suite that included 2 small balconies with a fantastic view of the TV Tower. But even with the large windows open, the room was dark. So dark in fact, I had to put on makeup in the teeny room for the toilet. Oh, and about that toilet room - it was inches from the head of the bed. Another design decision that didn't take into account how people actually live. But what about the electric lights? Surely they were bright enough to put on makeup? Nope. The bulbs were a glowy, antique yellow, used to evoke a time gone by. I guess a time when lights weren't very bright? These bulbs were controlled by odd steampunk switches that never really worked. Speaking of never working, may I introduce you to the air conditioning? It was a warm, not hot, few days in Berlin, so we hoped opening the windows would be enough. But the combination of the heavy comforter (we asked for a lighter one and were told there was only that one kind) and the heat rising to the top floor made the room very hot at night. Despite being incredibly loud, the A/C never worked. Hot air poured out. A visit from maintenance didn't change anything. We were told that the units were ”temperamental.” Not what you want to hear when you're staying several days. There are so many lovely hotels in Berlin. We've been before and have been very happy. Don't spend the night here. Why not have a drink in the moody bar? Or dinner in the unique and lovely restaurant? Just don't stay here. You won't sleep. We didn't.

GGuest UserThe hotel is ok, but I feel ripped off. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk told us that we could upgrade the room type for 80 euros, 160 euros for two days, and we paid 320 euros for 2 rooms in total. When we got to the room, it was actually the room type we booked before. Other things were ok, the breakfast and the executive lounge were good.

GGootripThe Grand Hyatt Berlin is located about 5 minutes from the subway station (the subway station is the next stop from Berlin Central Station). The room service size is satisfactory in all aspects, and it is a very cost-effective option! There is a newly built shopping mall nearby, with a large supermarket, as well as a variety of food and coffee shops. The location is safer than Berlin Central Station. It is recommended for families or friends with safety concerns.

Very Good
JJohn VI travel a lot in my work but this was our first private trip to Berlin so we wanted to stay at a 5 star hotel on our vacation. As always, are there positive and negative things to an experience. Positive: - Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent! - The breakfast was very good. Negative: - Room cleaning. Our room including the bathroom was poorly cleaned. - The bed was not changed during our 4 nights. - Coffee at the room was only for one person. They didn't refill the coffee every day so I had to buy my own capsules. - Poor air conditioning. The room was so warm during the nights so we ended up opening the window. - Tv. Only 4 German TV-channels. How can that be at a hotel for international guests? Where are the English speaking channels (CNN, BBC etc) for all non German speaking guests?
