Hilton Garden Inn at Emirates Old Trafford Manchester

Forgotten to write a review here last month right after my visit. Hilton has never disappointed me. Although it was just a short stay for a night, we felt welcomed. Diego was the best of the best in the hotel, he managed to get us checked in within minutes. The rooms were great as well, overlooking the cricket ground. Well maintained throughout the entire property. The only downside is with the bed, it is relatively small compared to other Hilton's King size beds. Don't forget to bring your own slippers as they don't provide with any. It would be best to have some stock there and make it available upon request (maybe at a charge to cover the extra cost?). The staff at the breakfast lounge were great as well, helped me heated up my croissant, which makes it a wonderful day to start with. Will definitely be there again when I visit Manchester or Liverpool.

Stayed here a while back whilst on a business trip. The room was huge and I was so impressed with the bed and linen I emailed them when I got home to find out the make. Great bathroom and the little touches like the sweets in the fridge were fab. Ate in the restaurant and quality and portions were great. Staff throughout the hotel were a credit. Will look forward to another stay

Got to the room all well and good it seemed my missus noticed a crack in the wall id didnt seem like anything at first as it was plaster but during the awful weather wednesday the crack had gone from minimal to the entire length of the wall and worrying it was leaking water quite badly i noticed this ruffly 0430 am had no choice but to walk down 4 floors of stairs to go to reception showed lady on reception the photo on my phone of the crack in the wall and the water leaking i was given the response i should have reported it earlier even tho we had been asleep for five or so hours and there wasnt a issue at that time was told we had to move rooms ok fair enough was given a key card and it was wrote on there room 331 we packed our stuff back trudged down ro room 331 key card wouldnt work by this time its way past 5 am tried and tried no joy well apare from waking up a very annoyed customer of the room apoligised perfusely showed him the key card and number on note wr were given we were embarrased to say least i stayed with the bags my missus went back down to reception same ladys response was oh i ment to write 333 new key card again back up finally into the room what was like a furnace with a window what wouldnt open and the air con would last a hour at most before it switched off .. we managed to unpack dosed back off about 0730 more issues in the room sadly bathroom had mold all along shower glass at the bottom ill fitting glass in shower which ment when you used the shower the vast majority of the water went into the middle of the bathroom which isnt great then you had the issue of the bathroom light which triggered the extractor fan i have 2 at home but the noise from this one was so loud even with the bathroom door closed you had to turn the tv right up after a few minites you could not hear the tv as the fan was that bad myself i chose to use the torch on my phone as a light so i wasnt made tone deaf ... oh and had another problem every time we went out into manchester or where ever when we got back our key card wouldnt work for room which isnt great as were the other side of hotel from reception and when you have no lift its not a good idea to have people removing carpet in corridors which at 10am is a issue when people are moving about mpat deffo not worth the money we paid for the 3 nights

We had read the reviews previously posted after we had booked through Hotels.com and were alarmed that the room we had booked was in ‘The Cottage’. If I could have cancelled at that point I would, however the staff were lovely. Listened to the concerns and we moved to the main hotel. We had a pleasant room, very clean and staff were lovely throughout. Whilst the menu in the bar isn’t as extensive as shown online the food was delicious and we ate there both nights and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in there. We did look at the ‘the cottage’ and were glad we didn’t end up there.

Hotel staff are great, friendly, professional - with a smile to greet. Ella was on the desk when I arrived, she was already on a phone call but acknowledged me and also let me know that she could start to book me in as she was waiting for the other company to answer, but if necessary would have to pause if the organisation answered. I was perfectly happy with that as at every point she kept me informed and apologised for keeping me waiting - even so, I was booked in and card key issued within 3-4 minutes of my arrival. I was impressed. Paul at the bar is also good - he makes a great latte and engages in conversation when applicable. The rooms are always clean and quiet. Very happy to recommend.
