What a smoking rad hotel which included a tasty Japanese breakfast I will stay at this awesome hotel the moment I fly back into AOMORI ! The ski bus was a 6 minute walk and boy oh boy what an adventure. The best powder skiing in the world is only 60 min away via JR bus !! The moment I checked in I knew I was at the right place. The crew at the front desk were so hospitable and they were so kind that here on out I will be ruined by the way we are treated back at home

It's in a location near the north exit of Ikebukuro that makes it difficult to pass by with children, but since I was there on a business trip, there were no problems. I used to live in Tokyo, so I don't have that much resistance, but if you're a solo woman, some people might be a little concerned. There aren't as many people walking around as there are at the East Exit, so even if you're carrying a carry-on case, you can walk to the station within 5 minutes, and you can easily eat breakfast at the hotel, which was a big help on a busy business trip.

I chose this hotel because it is near Oyama, an area I lived part-time in during the early 1990s. So I came back to see it thirty years later. The hotel is a typical understated business hotel. Check in was easy and my room on the fourth floor is fine. It’s not large and is most comfortable for solo travelers. The location is near the highway and there is a bit of noise, but I slept well and didn’t notice it. The view out my window is the wall of the neighboring building. Perfect because it is quieter than those that may be fronting the highway. Shower is warm, bed is comfortable, and my floor is quiet. And the cost is quite reasonable for Tokyo. Visitors to Japan may prefer to stay in the more touristy areas, but for people who know their way around Tokyo, this is an inexpensive, yet comfortable place to stay for business in the area beyond Ikebukuro. I enjoyed my stay.

I stayed at the Ohedo for a single night. The hotel is very good for a short stay. The rooms are pretty small but it’s understandable since its location is in Tokyo. The staff are quite friendly. They also offer breakfast in the morning. You can ask for seconds on coffee, bread (western breakfast), rice (eastern breakfast). It was delicious and good quality. Overall the property is no frills and straight forward. However, it is clean, quiet and convenient. Ikebukuro train station is very near. There are also many restaurants and shops in close proximity.

I stayed for 7 nights on way to see family in OZ from the UK, my reason for choosing Sakura Ikebukuro was that I was stopping off to see my daughter who is doing a year at nearby Rikkyo University. The first thing is to say that there were very helpful reception staff who spoke good English. It's on a reasonably quiet street (for Tokyo). I stayed in a single room, there was a sign in the lobby that no visitors are allowed in rooms. I have no experience of Japanese hotels and was told they are generally very small, but this was fine, the bed was probably a small double, so generous for one. There was no cupboard space but some hooks on the wall to hang clothes, but that wasn't an issue for me. Below the window was a large shelf (with TV that I didn't use) and sockets to recharge my devices. There was an ensuite and the shower was over a small bath but plenty of hot water and good pressure. I took the breakfast option in the cafe across the road that was cheap but basic, thick white toast with butter and jam and coffee. You could buy yourself an extra boiled egg if you wanted one. I think my rating overall was a 4.5 but as that's not an option I've gone for the full 5 on the basis of how friendly and helpful the staff were. Overall good value for money for the single traveller.

The large communal bath sauna on the top floor has just been renovated to 21/12 and is beautiful and well cleaned. It's wide and relaxing. I feel that I'm putting my strength into the hotel. You can get a bottle of water for free. There is an outlet and a light switch at the bedside. The corridors on each floor are also bright and clean. The desk is large enough for PC work. It seems that the water field in the room has been renovated recently. The water pressure in the shower is very strong. ◯ Bad points The staff is low in terms of language. The room has been renewed, such as wallpaper, and the smell of years is soaked. Some women may not be good at it. The wallpaper is a little dirty, but there are some things that stand out. The basement of the building is a sex shop. The temperature of the dry sauna is low, so it is not popular, and there is a line in the steam sauna. Overall, I think that cospa is very good if you are traveling for those who value savings, just sleeping, and staying while staying in the sauna. It is recommended to bring an air freshener. I would like you to install an air purifier.

The hotel is just few minutes away from the subway station. It is also very close to the airport bus pick up and drop of stop. This will make my want to stay there again next time I go to Tokyo. However, there are two things I want to point out is: 1. Breakfast is healthy but can provide a bit more food. There are yogurt, salad and toast only. Drinks are fine with coffee, tea orange juicy and water. 2. From 12-3pm is the cleaning time. Everyone has to leave the hotel. I think this is a bit too long. Perhaps the hotel can adjust the time and make it shorter.

Excellent room, has many amenities and appliances (oven, washing machine) that I really needed. Bathroom is especially large and staff are very helpful and accommodating. A bit of a walk from the JR ticket exit but very close to the metro gates (marunouchi, fukutoshin). Very close to convenience stores and restaurants as well. Highly recommend staying here

I usually find a place as close as possible from the subway station. When I first traveled, I paid more than 60,000 won per night, but I went around many times and found the charm of the guesthouse! This is a neat new building, not long after it was built. It may be a disadvantage that there is no elevator, but it is not hard because the staff moves your luggage to the room.
