Overall the hotel is okay, but there are a lot of little things that just don't add up.
For me personally, cleanliness is an important point that was definitely not there. On the closet and the surfaces in the bathroom that were a little higher (e.g. lamp above the mirror, door frame, etc.) there was a very thick layer of dust that took a long time to build up. On one of the bedside tables was half a pill from another occupant of the room.
Overall the facility was quite old and gave the impression that it was dirty.
Due to a different location across the street, sleep was unfortunately only possible from 3 a.m. onwards.
The food in the restaurant is quite good, but the service leaves something to be desired. It wouldn't be tragic if this had happened to us for the first time. In the summer they forgot to serve us after the table assignment and now they simply forgot an order several times, so that I had to walk across the restaurant myself again.
During the pandemic, you should actually assume that you should keep a little distance, even if the hotel is only admitted according to 3G rules. But several large tables of 10 (closely placed) should definitely not be. Due to the arrangement of the tables and chairs, 2 of 3 emergency exits were blocked. In such a house, in an emergency, a pre-programmed catastrophe.
All in all, it was definitely our last stay in this house. It's just too expensive for the shortcomings.

Good price, but a bit dated. Transportation options not ideal. Breakfast was excellent, but the room's shower head holder broke. I wasn't told that the hotel would be locked by 10 pm. Luckily I had a key. A phone number was at the door, but for international travelers without a phone, this is a big problem.

Not worth the Money This accommodation is 30 Dollars over priced, Wifi - Is weak, intermittent forget about streaming or any normal internet functions Parking- Abysmal, extremely limited , 5 minute walk from the parking lot to the front door even with a handicapped parking spot. parking lot not secured, sparsely lit and no security. Room - Very small, Situated on the third floor directly adjacent a busy secondary highway, Small sparsely furnished, Old Worn Chairs, old school 70’s 80’s shag rug. The Bed was wedged into a small area with a sloped roof, who ever got the left side was going to hit their head getting in and out of bed. Very Thin Pillows, both my spouse and I got headaches. Bathroom very old and cramped shower Resteraunt - High end food, good menu choices, with reasonable prices. Breakfast Staff - The Elderly German staff were very cordial however, The two young ladies from East Bloc seemed to have issues with people of color, they greeted the German guests or those who from appearances seemed to be, but the Syrian Guests. I recommend they either get intense hospitality training or their employment terminated.

We stayed at Hotel Krone for four days during our holiday trip to Southern Germany. The staff were very attentive to our needs - even upgrading us to a larger room at no extra cost so our 4-year-old daughter could have her own bed. Both of the rooms we got to stay in were clean and well-proportioned, and there is a fine playground on the premises that our daughter thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is fantastic, and even though it is sort of high-end, our daughter was made to feel welcome which in turn made her parents feel welcome, too. Located 10 minutes from an amazing Bad See and 25 minutes from Heidelberg (both by car), Hotel Krone is the hotel of choice if you want the best of the large culture city but still want to be able to retire to the coziness of a smaller town.

Great hotel. Breakfast was very good so was evening meal in the restaurant. Nice rooms. Have not tried the pool yet. All in all a great hotel.
