"Really great location within Furong Town as it is roughly located in the middle with easy access to nearby restaurants and performances. The staff are very friendly and helpful with problems if you have any. It was amazing that the toilet had a bidet which was a useful amenity. Additionally the balcony view was great for eating skewers and listening to the water stream. The beds are comfortable with 2 pillows provided. The breakfast is good for the morning with many options available. The pick-up from the station was great and convenient leaving you stress free, also providing transport to the station for a small fee which felt worth the amount we paid. The owner also left us a small gift which was really nice. Overall a good experience would come back here."

"Really recommend this hotel! From the airport or Zhangjiajie West Railway station is only around 15 minutes by taxi. This made getting around very easy. Against most recommendations, we opted to only have one hotel for our entire time in Zhangjiajie. The central location made visiting attractions like Tianmen Mountain, 72 Wonder Tower and Furong Ancient town (short train ride away) very easy. The longest journey was to Zhangjiajie National Park, but was still only 45 minutes journey to the East Gate. The hotel itself was very clean, the room was a great size and the bed was huge! The staff were very attentive, all spoke English, and were very happy to offer help with anything we required. They even sent a message every morning to ensure we rested well, our stay was pleasant, and if we had had breakfast in the restaurant that day. One big highlight of the room itself was the inbuilt ceiling speakers which not only had preprogrammed music but could easily connect to your phone via Bluetooth. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone we know visiting the area!"

"The biggest advantage of choosing this hotel when visiting Tianmen Mountain is its proximity to the cable car and shuttle bus; it's just across the road. Whether you're taking route A, B, or C, it's the best choice. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. If you're on a tight schedule, they even pack food for guests to take on the go. There are many international guests, making it feel like you're abroad. They also have a laundry room and a gym. The hotel is surrounded by local specialty restaurants, and there are non-spicy options suitable for out-of-town visitors, which are affordable and tasty. "The B&B's location is absolutely unbeatable, offering the best views. We came to Furong Ancient Town mainly for the scenery, so choosing this place was definitely the right call. Due to its mountainous terrain, the overall cleanliness of Furong Ancient Town is a bit concerning, and the difficulty of getting up and down the hills probably makes maintaining hygiene quite challenging. The ladies at the reception desk of the B&B had a generally lukewarm attitude; we didn't see a single smile from them. The gentlemen, however, were all very nice. The restaurant staff provided great service, and the food tasted good too."

"The owner had informed us beforehand that Didi (ride-hailing service) wasn't available here. So, after arriving at Fenghuang High-Speed Railway Station, we planned to take a taxi to the guesthouse. However, we waited for half an hour and no taxis came. Finally, one arrived, but the driver refused to take us, only wanting to pick up individual passengers for carpooling to earn four times the fare. We had no choice but to take a shuttle bus and then walk. The main issue was that we had a lot of luggage, and dragging suitcases was really cumbersome, leaving us drenched in sweat. The river view from this hotel is indeed nice, and the room facilities are quite good. However, there are a lot of mosquitoes by the river in summer, so if you want to enjoy the river view from the balcony, you need to take mosquito repellent measures. Rooms facing the street can hear people talking outside at night. After it rained, the Tuojiang River flooded, and the river water was muddy and yellow for photos, which wasn't pretty. We didn't check the weather this time; rainy days aren't ideal for visiting the ancient town. I still recommend coming on a sunny day for sightseeing and photos. The owner's service was excellent; they promptly helped us resolve some minor issues we had during our stay. When we left, they arranged a car to take us to the high-speed railway station, preventing us from encountering another taxi refusal. The guesthouse also has a large white cat that is very friendly and adorable."

"We took a taxi from the railway station to Fenghuang Ancient Town, as we discovered that DiDi was not available in the area. Showing the driver “风桥 (Fengqiao)” helped identify the correct drop-off point. The journey took approximately 15–20 minutes and cost around 25–26 yuan. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff at the entrance to the ancient town. The hotel was located just a few steps away, making the transfer very convenient. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. One of the highlights was the balcony overlooking the river, which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak in the unique atmosphere of Fenghuang Ancient Town without even leaving the room. The combination of the excellent location, scenic river views, and attentive hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town."

"Wonderful stay! Everyone was really kind, organized both our airport pickup and the drop off back to the city for free (which we did not expect). And most importantly, spent time to design a one day itinerary for us so we could see the best parts of the park with limited time. The place is only a 5-10 minute walk to the entrance which was awesome! They also kindly upgraded us to the 360 degree view room, which was incredible. I posted the view from the terrace, really lovely to wake up to this view every morning. The one thing I would say is bring an eye mask. With all the lovely big windows it does get pretty bright early in the morning. It didn't bother us since we had to wake up early to visit the park. Overall I'd say it was perfect and pretty much everything we could've wanted"

"If you want the classic stay overlooking the beautiful waterfall experience - this is the place to stay! It has the best view in town but they don't take that for granted. The service was absolutely incredible. We travelled with a toddler and they provided free pick up and drop off from the train station. The young man who runs the hotel singlehandedly ported all of our luggage for us (even more than I handle on my own) which was AMAZING! Rooms were very clean, thoughtfully laid out and had just the right features. There's a restaurant on site with stunning views.. Do yourself a favor and stay here!"

"This stay was absolutely perfect. The room was not only fully equipped but also spotlessly clean in every corner – once I checked in, I didn't want to leave. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the city center. A quick right turn and you're at the subway, making all the city's attractions easily accessible. What truly won me over was the breakfast, served until 11 AM, which perfectly cured my 'morning grumpiness' while traveling. The food was abundant and delicious. And the staff's warm smiles, along with that comforting bowl of congee served in the evening, added a touch of home to the entire trip. We've already promised to return!"

The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with modern technology that makes the stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Everything feels new, clean, and thoughtfully designed. What impressed us the most was the staff. They helped us organize tickets for the local show as well as for the national park, making everything very easy and stress-free. On one particularly rainy day, when the Didi service was not operating properly, they even came to pick us up themselves. Their level of care and attention was truly exceptional. Throughout our stay, we genuinely felt that the staff wanted us to have the best possible experience and went above and beyond to help us in every way. The hotel also offers a lovely afternoon tea service that is delivered directly to your room, complimentary laundry facilities, and free rain ponchos and umbrellas for guests. These thoughtful touches made our stay even more enjoyable. Fungee Hotel combines modern comfort with outstanding hospitality. GGuest UserGreat place to stay. Super modern amenities, everything goes seamless from the pickup service, check-in, and chatting with the staffs (you need Wechat). While this place is about 30 minutes away from downtown Zhangjiajie and Tianmen mountain cableway station, you can truly feel being at Zhangjiajie as you get to stay at a place that is surrounded by foggy mountains. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and pretty decent and other Chinese menu that you can order at the hotel restaurant are phenomenal. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place to other travelers.

YYinzi2026This is a pretty good hotel with a distinct Xiangxi (Western Hunan) style. The owner is very attentive and reached out to me via WeChat a day in advance. Knowing we were a family with two adults and two children, they thoughtfully provided extra pillows and slippers for the kids. Parking is available across the street at the government building, and it's free on holidays. It's also a short walk to the East Gate, which is very convenient. Five-star rating, highly recommend staying here!

They also provide a lot of disposable toiletries and sanitizing products, offering everything you could think of and more, very thoughtful. Facilities: Projector, tea ceremony table, makeup mirror, bathtub, electric curtains. Environment: The decor is simple and looks very comfortable. The bed and pillows are also very comfortable. It's a 5-minute walk to the iconic gate, 7-8 minutes to the East Gate entrance turnstile, and a 16-minute walk to the Charming Xiangxi show theater. There are many delicious restaurants and several breakfast spots around the guesthouse, very convenient! Service: For this trip, I asked the owner to help book group tickets, which saved me a lot of money overall. The owner is very enthusiastic, not only helping to plan the itinerary but also almost instantly replying to any questions. Seeing that I was traveling alone and might feel unsafe, the owner even picked me up and dropped me off for the Charming Xiangxi show, which was very thoughtful. When I left, they also proactively helped me find a shared ride. They truly made my trip very comfortable and perfect, I'm so, so happy! 😁 I highly recommend this guesthouse! 👍🏻

GGuest UserGetting to Orange Isle is super convenient; you can either walk across Xiangjiang Bridge or take the subway just one stop. It's also only about 3 stops to downtown areas like Wuyi Square. Environment: The surrounding area is a bit so-so, with a few construction sites, but it's very quiet. Service and hygiene were both excellent, making me feel right at home.

CChaya🇨🇳 Ho Perfect if you're entering via the East Gate! Beautiful rooms, amazing service. Keep this in mind for your trip! 📌 🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money - The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new. - The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush! - Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent. - Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors. 📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around - The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. - Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride. - As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away. 👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service - The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free. 🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long) Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word. Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. GGuest UserThe Tatami River View room has a sofa that folds out into a 1.2-meter bed. The auntie thoughtfully made up the bed with sheets and even put a little yellow duck pillow for the child. The room has a bathtub, and the hotel provides bath bags, steam eye masks, laundry detergent, and more, which shows great attention to detail. The biggest surprise was the laundry room on the 5th floor. We got back to the hotel at 11 PM, and to our surprise, an auntie was still there. She told us to leave our clothes with her, and she would wash, dry, and fold them for us. The next morning, they were left at our room door, all completely free! This was such an amazing value and a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Changsha!

EEduarda Carvalho[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.

She was able to book our tickets (with a local discount), planned our route every day taking into account the weather, and re-routed us via WeChat when heavy rain meant a path was closed. GGuest UserBooked this hotel by chance, and it was pretty clean. The hot water came out fast and had good pressure, and the air conditioning was excellent. The rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, definitely worth trying – much better than the Zhou Ji noodles (my personal opinion), which were a complete mess. One minor issue: the toilet splashed water when you sat on it. On the bright side, the subway station is right on the -1 floor, making transportation very convenient.
