Climbing the First Peak of Dongguan Liaobu at Buddha Spirit Lake

On the eve of the May Day holiday, I went to Dongguan Liaobu for some errands. Originally planned to visit the Tongsha Ecopark, but couldn't enter without a reservation, I stumbled upon the adjacent Buddha Spirit Lake Ecopark. I parked at the parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area and started climbing from the No. 3 entrance🧗🏻‍♂️ After crossing a small hill, I arrived in a valley, a place called Ling Shi Square. Walking to Mingxi Valley, a fork appeared, and without hesitation, I chose the uphill path. Reaching halfway up the mountain, I finally saw an uncle, clearly a local resident, climbing for fitness🚶‍♂️, which reassured me, so I followed the direction he was heading. I met a security guard on duty at a roadside pavilion, and asked him if I could climb to the top to enjoy the view. He confirmed that I could and pointed out a route, although I didn't quite understand, I at least had some idea. Indeed, I found the stone steps for climbing ahead, and soon reached the summit. This peak is unnamed, and from there, you can see the adjacent Tongsha Ecopark, which houses a grand-scale temple. ✔️Descending from the peak, I continued along the ridge and climbed another summit. This place is called 'The Sound of Nature', an excellent viewing platform. Named for the natural symphony of birdsong, insect chirps, and the rustling of leaves in the wind, it offers a serene experience. Standing there, in addition to the Tongsha Ecopark seen before, Buddha Spirit Lake in the valley also appeared faintly visible. 🖐🏽️Leaving 'The Sound of Nature', I climbed another hillside where a square pavilion named 'Ask the Sky Platform' was built. This is the highest point of Liaobu Town, offering a panoramic view of the bustling main urban area of Dongguan and the Liaobu Fragrance Market. Liaobu's Yaxiang Street is a famous fragrance market in Guangdong, a distribution center for Dongguan incense during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and it also houses the China Agarwood Culture Museum. Leaving the 'Ask the Sky Platform', I began descending the mountain, passing by He Xiang Pavilion, Cui Yong Pavilion, and Feng Yue Pavilion, and finally arrived at Butterfly Pool at the foot of the mountain. By then, I had lost my way and didn't know where my car was parked. I had no choice but to ask the security guard for help. Fortunately, I had taken photos, and the security guard knew immediately after seeing them. He told me to follow the road downhill, and I would definitely find my car. 🚶‍♂️Reaching the roadside, I saw the entrance to the Buddha Spirit Lake Water Park across the street, and a promotional signboard for 'Guangdong Province Agarwood Culture Tourism Famous Town' on the hillside next to it. At the foot of the mountain by the roadside was Buddha Spirit Lake, with its clear green waters.
