Hakone Venetian Glass Museum

I've visited many art museums including those specializing in glass. The Hakone Venetian Glass Museum was unique. I was afraid that the Italianate architecture and crystal installations on trees and bridges would seem kitchy, but I enjoyed walking grounds as well as visiting the exhibitions. The museum is beautifully incorporated into the natural surroundings. I found the size perfect for an hour visit to the exhibits and grounds. I skipped shopping in the stores and wasn't hungry enough for a restaurant stop so can't comment. I'd recommend as a refreshing stop to anyone interested in glass art forms. In 2024, I want to go back to Hakone. #2024wish
