Ningbo Nanyuan Xinzhi Hotel, once the state guesthouse of Ningbo

Ningbo Nanyuan Xinzhi Hotel is located in Haishu District, surrounded by water on three sides, quiet in the midst of bustle. It used to be the state guesthouse of Ningbo, hosting many heads of state and well-known figures from home and abroad. The hotel is in a garden-style, with black tiles and white walls, surrounded by clear water, and covered by lush greenery, fully displaying the elegant and calm posture of the south of the Yangtze River. The guesthouse is divided into four areas: the east building, the south building, the west building, and the north building, each with its own unique Chinese architecture interspersed among the riverside greenery. Most of them are garden-view rooms built around courtyards or water-view rooms by the water. In the hotel lobby, corridors, and guest room walls, there are many large and small art works embedded, mainly Chinese landscape paintings, many of which depict the local landscape and cultural scenes of Ningbo. We stayed in a Chinese-style room in the North Building, which is simple and full of the atmosphere of the Republic of China.
