The Roman Colosseum

The Roman Colosseum is located on the east bank of the Tiber River in the capital of Italy, Rome, and is a symbol of ancient Rome. The Colosseum was built from 72-79 AD, forcing 80,000 Jewish captives to labor, and it took 8 years to complete. The entire building covers an area of 20,000 square meters, with a circumference of 527 meters, and can accommodate 90,000 spectators. It was built to commemorate the great achievements of Emperor Vespasian after the Roman Empire conquered Jerusalem, and it even continues to influence the construction of modern large-scale stadiums.
