露台屋是以弗所非常值得游览的景点，虽然整体看上去有些衰落，但是精美的壁画以及地板上美丽的装饰图案，还是十分值得赞叹的。我们在游览的时候，还看到了考古工作人员在修缮壁画的碎片。

以弗所的露台屋位于整个古城的中上段，据考证，这里应该是以前罗马贵族的聚居地。因为这里的房屋要比下段的房屋要更加的精致讲究，而且面积大很多，从窗户看出去的视野也比较开阔，离山顶的神庙也静许多，因此这里应该是当时的贵族和富人区。

是当年以弗所城中达官显贵的住宅，汇集了众多古罗马社会的艺术精品。我个人认为是比较值得一看的，在这里，古罗马人对生活质量的要求体现得淋漓尽致。房间上墙壁上的墙绘栩栩如生，极尽奢华；地板上的马赛克精巧绝伦，图案精美。房间布局合理，设施齐全，甚至有自来水可以用。想想两千多年前，人们就过上了如此现代化的生活，不禁对古人的高超技艺肃然起敬。另外，这里是货真价实的考古现场，在这里，我们可以看到许多考古学家正在无比专注地修复壁画、拼接碎片。
