A walk through museum that takes about 30-45 minutes listening to the audio. Learn about the history of Iceland.

Iceland before and after Christmas, the day is very short, almost dark in a while, there is nothing to play, just visit the museum.

With memories of Peter Frampton - History Comes Alive! In fact, so much so, that Gayle and I stared at one the life size wax historical figures, and thought for sure that the guy was moving! The Saga Museum was just a short walk from our Hotel and turned out to be a pleasant and educational surprise. It's a Viking Museum that intimately recreates key moments in Icelandic history, and which give a compelling view into how Icelanders have lived for more than a millennium. From the time of the earliest settlers, history is brought to life in a unique and exciting way, with life-like wax wax figurines throughout various touch points. An audio guide leads you though the whole thing, and before you know it, you're in the gift shop wondering how to enhance your Viking cred.

I liked this museum very much because it is very well prepared and explained to understand Icelandic culture. The sagaes are the cultural stories that tell the legends of the first Icelandic residents so the museum is a whole journey for the time Vikinga. The most important is the Njall saga.
