Strasbourg, the capital of the eastern French city of Région Alsace and the capital of Bas Rhin (No. 67), is France's seventh largest city and the largest border city. The city is located on the west bank of the Rhine River, across the river from the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Because it was once occupied by the Germans, the city is more like Germany. There are many Bavarian-style buildings. Especially around the Strasbourg Cathedral Square. This feature is particularly obvious. The city centered on the small French, in four directions. The eastern part of the Rhine area is a logistics and industrial area; the west and north side are mainly residential houses; and the south side is a scientific and cultural area.
