"This capsule hotel is conveniently located next to Asakusabashi JR Station and a couple of subway stations in Japan. The hotel is very clean, and guests are respectful and quiet. The first and sixth floors offer common areas for relaxation and dining. The sixth floor features a microwave, electric stove, and kitchen. There are also seven shower rooms with excellent privacy. Each capsule comes with one large and one small towel, a toothbrush and toothpaste, and a pair of disposable slippers. Guests have access to a shoe locker and a lockable safe. The hotel is equipped with washlet toilets and urinals for men. Some rooms are co-ed. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it very convenient. I highly recommend staying a night to experience the joys of communal living."

"Though the room was compact, its layout was very efficient. The absolute best part is being just a few minutes' walk from the subway, which makes getting around incredibly convenient! My overall experience was superb! Great location, full amenities, attentive service, and everything was spotless. Excellent value for money – I'll definitely be returning!"

"The location is great – close to Meguro Station with convenience stores and cafes nearby. They provided two towels, slippers, a toothbrush, and earplugs, which was really nice. The bed was also perfectly clean. However, the smell around the shoe rack right inside the room was terrible and made entering and exiting the room quite unpleasant every time (though I guess it depends on the previous guests, I wish they could put out an air freshener or something…)"

Wake-up call
"The hotel is very good and deserves an excellent rating. First of all, the hotel is situated just on the southern border of the Ginza district. It is only 5 minutes by metro to the heart of Ginza, but the location is very calm. The Tsukiji metro station is situated 5 minutes away from the hotel, which is very convenient. I believe that this allows the Hotel to offer one of the best value for many offers. The hotel is quite new and looks fresh. A good sign I noticed is that there were many Japanese business travelers, who are quite discerning. The room was tiny but very clean. As it was my first time in Japan, I was surprised that the bathroom ceiling was approximately 2 meters high, so with my height, I had to bend a little to wash my hair. The bathtub was so tiny that it was barely possible to sit down in it. I would like to stress that there is nothing wrong with the hotel; it is just a standard bathroom for all 3-star hotels across Japan. I traveled around Japan for about 2 weeks and can say with confidence that all 3-star hotels have essentially the same bathroom. There are not many cafes around, so it was quite challenging to find a good ”continental” breakfast. The hotel serves breakfast, but since there are many domestic travelers as well as Chinese tourists, the breakfast is more Asian-style (noodles, grilled fish, etc.). Nevertheless, I managed to find something more familiar to me (omelette, croissant, coffee, etc.). The front desk personnel speak English well and are very helpful. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Mr. Wu, who was working the night shift (Nov 4–Nov 5). The next morning I had a bus from Tokyo main station to Kawaguchiko. For those who don’t know, it can take ages to find the right platform at Tokyo station, as it is an incredibly large central station. Mr. Wu managed to find the correct departure platform, wrote a notice on how to find it (just take a look at how well it is structured), booked a taxi, and finally went out to explain to the taxi driver where to take me. That is what I call truly dedicated customer service. Dear Ginza Capital Hotel Akane management, your colleagues like Mr. Wu are your most valuable asset; please take care of such colleagues. I look forward to coming back to your hotel again!"

"Having stayed in many hotels in Japan, the Shinagawa Prince Hotel offers great value for money in Tokyo. The transportation is incredibly convenient, located right across the street from Shinagawa Station. From Shinagawa Station, you can easily access Haneda Airport and Narita Airport via direct JR and Keikyu lines, which is super handy. The hotel itself has restaurants, and there are many good dining options downstairs, along with a 7-Eleven, an aquarium, and a cinema – it's really excellent."

"Room was Japanese standard room. Yes very small, our suitcases have to be kept under the bed . There isn't a fridge in the room so beware of buying beer or food that needs to be refrigerated. Location was good, lots of eateries and places of interests. Was able to walk to sensoji temple and that kitchen street. The hotel offer some pastry and coffee fof breakfast if one is early. There's washing machines at the reception floor so that's convenient. Subway station was also fairly near. Good for a quick stay"

"Location is very convenient, get to harajuku / shibuya / Ginza station easy without any transfer, about 20mins, close to odeo line, walking distance to donki and you can walk and see Tokyo tower in 15 mins walk. Get to the bottom maybe 30-35mins walk? Room is so small and layout is not that good compared with other small budget hotel in Japan. If you are solo traveler with suitcase not over 22” is fine. The smell of the room is hard to describe, stayed in 10F, my friend stayed another room and we both can tell the unpleasant smells are really bad, although air puffier on in the room but still 0 help. We didn’t ask to switch the room cause we check in late and tired, so far the 3rd day we get use to the smell, was a little crazy, other than that is not bad."

"The Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nishi-Shinjuku PREMIER is a small yet charming and exceptionally clean hotel, perfect for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in Tokyo. While the rooms are compact—typical for the area—they are well-designed and thoughtfully maintained. The staff are courteous and attentive, offering flexible options for daily room cleaning, which adds a personalized touch. Located about a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku’s bustling center and just 9 minutes from the nearest train station, the hotel strikes a great balance between quiet retreat and urban access. A solid stay for the price. Not to mention the restaurant connected was amazing!"

GGuest UserThe hotel stay is wonderful. The hotel is huge with an enormous lobby, looks sleek, and is classy with the dim light. The lobby is located at 20th floor, no comments on the bf as I only booked the room without bf. Check in and out are effortless. Staff is friendly and approachable. Amenities in room are plentiful and abundant. All shampoo, conditioner and bath lotion come in big bottles so it is more than sufficient for use. Inside bathroom, you can control the volume and listen to the TV you on outside so it is very useful. In room has the Alexa which you can easily communicate with it for anything of interest to you. Besides, the hotel is very conveniently located, near to Shinjuku station and the nearby shopping malls. The room is huge and comes with bathtub and it has a balcony area too. Highly recommended for staying here in Tokyo. You will not regret definitely!

GGuest UserA gem of a hotel. Everything was thoughtfully designed, not just for travellers, but for its staff as well. Enjoyed my stay there - the access to cable apps, self-service washing machines (with locks so no one can get to your clothes), strong shower pressure, heated toilet bowl, close proximity to train station and plentiful malls… Perhaps the management would consider having a gym in its Shinjuku hotel. 😊

11386172****We chose this hotel during the National Day holiday to fulfill our child's anime dream. The location is excellent, making it super convenient to explore Akihabara, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Getting around is also a breeze, as the subway station is right downstairs, connecting you to everywhere. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit small, but that's typical for hotels in Japan. If we're ever back for more anime adventures, we'd definitely pick this hotel again.

PPonyTaroWhile the room is not big, and the air condition coupd take some times to start getting cool, the hotel is nice. The breakfast is a normal japanese breakfast, so it would be a big plus for anyone who love those kind of meals The location is really convenience. Just 10 minutes pf less walking from useno and okachimachi stagion, surrounded by all the foods, shoppings, and night life. (And it was very quiet and serene in the morning. ) The onsen/public bath is good. If you are early or time it a bit, it would be almost no one there. A plus for those who might be intimidated by the culture. Also, maybe most of the customers are foreigner, the percentage of public bath enjoyer looks pretty small.

HHuajuangcyI almost overlooked this hotel after reading so many reviews. The room is indeed quite small, especially for the price of over 1000 yen, but that's pretty normal for Ginza, Tokyo. However, it boasts a natural hot spring. While not huge, it's still comfortable for a soak. The highlight, though, is definitely the small bar in the evening. I saw a sign that says non-guests can use the hot spring and bar for 5000 yen, so it's a really good deal for those staying there. It's completely self-service, but the breakfast, a single pastry and a bowl of soup, is a bit disappointing for the price. On the first floor, you can choose your pillow and there are many toiletries available. The transportation is also very convenient; a single bus from the airport takes you to Ginza, and then it's just an 800-meter walk to the hotel. The front desk also offers facial masks, and the staff were lovely.

YYuehaihongdieThe hotel is a convenient 6-7 minute walk from Ikebukuro Station's underground exit A20. However, coming from the airport bus stop, it took us about 15 minutes. Dining and shopping options are plentiful and convenient near the hotel; it's also very close to some specialty shops. There are many hotels of similar scale in the vicinity, most of them advertising their own hot spring baths (onsen). After comparing several options, this hotel stood out for its value for money, primarily because it offers triple rooms, which are quite rare in Japan. However, upon checking in, we felt that this type of triple room is really only suitable for families with children under 10. With my 15-year-old son, we were effectively three adults, and the room was so narrow that only one person could pass at a time. The window couldn't be opened, making it feel quite cramped and stuffy. The room layout was minimalist, but it came with plenty of power outlets and even a multi-head charging cable. Since there's a hot spring bath (onsen), most guests hardly used the in-room bathroom. Given the space constraints, walls in budget hotels are typically thin, leading to potential soundproofing issues. However, during our stay, everyone was very considerate, and we didn't notice any disruptive noise. Compared to other hotels, the onsen here has extended opening hours, so you can still enjoy a relaxing soak even if you return late. The bath uses carbonated water. While the pool isn't large, the water quality was impeccably clean. Many of the hotel's thoughtful details are truly commendable. For instance, women checking in receive a complimentary, exquisite beauty and skincare amenity kit daily, with two options to choose from. There's welcome juice at the front desk. Additionally, every day from approximately 4 PM to 8 PM, a complimentary self-service drink bar is available on the 2nd floor, which is wonderfully refreshing after a bath. Furthermore, each floor features a 'pillow bar' where guests can select their preferred pillow, put on a fresh pillowcase, and return it after use. Regarding room cleaning services: For consecutive stays, guests have the option to forgo daily cleaning, in which case they receive two complimentary bottles of water and fresh towels. If cleaning is desired, the 'Please Clean' sign must be displayed on the door before 10 AM, and service can only be performed after guests have vacated the room. The hotel policy strictly states that cleaning cannot be carried out while guests are present in the room. Moving on to breakfast: it's primarily Japanese style. While the variety isn't extensive, it's very comprehensive and sufficient to cater to most palates, with the small pastries/breads being particularly delicious. We had read previous reviews mentioning less-than-friendly front desk staff, but we personally didn't experience that at all during our entire stay. While they weren't overly enthusiastic, they were unfailingly polite and professional, always answering our questions thoroughly. In summary: this hotel truly stands out among similar budget-friendly establishments. A plaque in the lobby proudly displays its recognition as a 'Most Popular Hotel' for several consecutive years, a title it genuinely deserves. Aside from the triple room being excessively small and feeling rather cramped, all other details and facilities were excellent. For a stay of two people or fewer, who plan to be out exploring during the day and simply need a comfortable place to sleep at night, this hotel comes highly recommended.

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at the 9h nine hours Akasaka. The pods were comfortable and clean and the location was very convenient. However, the common space for eating was really small. The locker space was very crammed. They also won’t store your luggage after you check out so if you’re planning to do something on between the check-out and your flight/train you need to take your luggage outside.

WWeiHooI have tried a few capsule hotels, this is by far the worst. My capsule was on the fifth floor, but the lockers are located on the fourth floor which is very inconvenient since the shower is on the eighth floor. There is a sitting area outside the capsule room which is an unsightly mess as shown in the pictures. The mattress is hard and uncomfortable. What bothered me the most is the door that supposed to shun off the noise from outside, made a loud noise when it closes. I wonder if they are not aware of it or no one complains to them. Imagine how many people comes in and out the entire night and the cranky noise disturbed my sleep. I hope the management will be made known of this default. I will never come back again.

GGuest UserThe location is great, with convenient access to Narita Airport and plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. We received a complimentary dessert upon arrival. However, the floor felt a bit sticky for some reason. The room was a decent size and had floor-to-ceiling windows offering a street view. It would have been even better if smoking rooms were available.

GGuest UserI wrote a longer review of this place that covers the basics. After I ended a business trip I decided to stay on in Tokyo so just rebooked at this spot on the app. It seems like the staff here run bookings mostly with a hand written ledger --- when I mentioned to them I was staying longer they just made a note of it and then left me a message when it was confirmed, very chill. Overall the staff at this place were pretty great. I was there for two weeks and in the time I was there I saw maybe like ten different people working there. As an English speaker, sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was never really a problem, and there is clear signage about all of the most important policies all over the place in English, Korean, and Chinese. It was always a friendly experience, most of the ppl working there were older with a kind of caring auntie vibe, so that was fun. At one point I asked to move bunks because a guy on my floor was super sick, and they arranged it with no hassle or fuss, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place for the staff.
