Ling To Tsz

Lingdu Temple has a history of more than 1400 years. It is the earliest temple and birthplace of Buddhism in Hong Kong. It is also one of the three major Buddhist holy places in Hong Kong. Lingdu Temple is located on the west side of Shaa Village, Yuen Long, Hong Kong. It was founded in the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is said that Liang Dai Zen Master Huaidu lived here. The Song, Ming, Qing and Republic of China period was rebuilt many times, the Sui Dynasty was renamed "Lingdu Road Field", the Tang Dynasty was renamed "Dayun Temple", the Song Dynasty was renamed "Bixia Palace", and the Yuan Dynasty was renamed "Baiyunguan", which is still changed back to its original name. The built-in scale of the temple is not very large, but the ancient trees are towering. In addition, the temple spring water cooking tea is very famous, tea tastes sweet and sweet, the next tour may wish to enjoy the feast and taste Qingxi Xiang tea!
