Although not as famous as Hongcun, this is the Jiangnan depicted in ancient paintings
🌸Obsessed with the poetic dreamscapes all my life, I never imagined that the Huizhou in my dreams would be so vividly real before my eyes! 🍃✨
'Symmetrical, balanced, exquisite,' these six words seem tailor-made for Xidi Ancient Village. 🏞️ The roads paved with blue bricks, the white walls and black tiles complement each other, and every frame seems like a scene from an ancient Jiangnan painting come to life. 🌿
📍Xidi, this ancient village honored as a 'World Cultural Heritage' site by UNESCO, retains the charm of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the passage of time leaving deep marks. The village currently has 3 ancestral halls, 1 archway, and as many as 224 ancient dwellings from the 14th to 19th centuries! 🏛️ Wandering through the narrow alleys and under the low eaves, you will encounter countless students wielding their brushes, capturing the artistic atmosphere and blending poetry with life through their art. 🎨🖌️
🏠The essence of Hui-style architecture is vividly displayed here. Wooden structures are the mainstay, complemented by finely carved wood, stone, and brick decorations, simple yet elegant. Every detail is a silent testament to history and culture, as if the bricks and tiles hide a thousand-year-old story, quietly waiting for the attentive listener. 📜🔍

The village is not big, and there are more tourists than Hongcun. There are dozens of officials here. It is suitable for taking children to see it. It is very meaningful to listen to the explanation. The fare is a bit expensive. Who calls people a world heritage level?
Compared with the commercial noise of Hongcun, I prefer the feeling of Xidi. After entering the door, I asked a scenic tour guide (90 yuan) to explain for more than an hour. The overall experience of playing is good. It is basically transferred out in more than 2 hours. It is worth a visit!
The town that has not been commercialized, the villagers live leisurely, the river flows through the house, clear, and flowing. The villagers can wash in front of their own homes. The village halls and archways tell the ancient and heavy Huizhou history. At night, they sit on the slate by the lake and hold their lover's hand to see the sound. Music fountain, water screen movie, very pleasant
Xidi in the rain is really beautiful, not as many people as Hongcun
As an ancient village at the foot of Huangshan Mountain with a large scale and well-preserved, Xidi is definitely worth a visit. Small bridges and flowing water, crisscrossing the moors, windmills are leisurely and smoky. The leisurely and natural pastoral scenery makes people feel like they are born. The most amazing is the night light show and music fountain, which makes this place a fairyland on earth, with deep memories and lingering memories.
Very convenient, no need to queue up to buy tickets. The building is antique and beautiful, very suitable for leisure to walk slowly. The light rain during the Qingming Festival, it stops at the moment, walking in the alley with an umbrella, there is a feeling of crossing, as if time is reversed
Very quiet village, not as serious as the commercialization of Hongcun, here still retains the normal life atmosphere of many Aboriginal people, small bridges and flowing water, green mountains and green waters, not so many people, every place is scenery, casually turn back, blue bricks and tiles, white walls and gray tiles, horse head walls, It's all a picture of ink and blue
Xidi Ancient Village is really a place not to be missed in southern Anhui! I have also been like you because of its reputation, worried that there are many tourists and dare not go to ......, but the truth is really not like this! And listen to me: the commercialization of Xidi Scenic Area is not very serious, except for the main road that will gather many tourists, Xidi has many alleys, many exquisite literary shops, there is no one inside! ! (I went to the May 1st Golden Week) So everyone really don't follow the flow of people, you can choose one or two favorite stores, sit down and slowly feel the simplicity and elegance of this ancient village in southern Fujian~
