The Drum Tower is representative of Tang'an Dong Village. The Drum Tower, Opera House and Singing Ground all have strong characteristics of Dong Village. All the pathways in the village are paved with bluestone slabs. Other interesting objects found in the village include stilt houses, ancient burial grounds and looms with spinning wheels. Each of the nine roads leading out of the village is protected by a village gate. There are also structures like wheat drying racks, a grain silo and well pavilion in the village. There is a burial ground in the middle of the village with many graves that were built during the Qing Dynasty. It is another representation of the Dong People cultural legacy.
