Qianzhangyan Rock is located in Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area, Xikou Town, Fenghua District, Ningbo City, a renowned attraction since the ancient days. The Qianzhangyan Waterfalls are about 186 meters in height and well-known for the spectacular scenery surrounding it. The three large characters of "Qianzhangyan" on the rock walls were inscribed by the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Huang Qi, in 1992. The waterfalls originate from the Jinjing Lake, where two streams running along the east and west of Xuedou Temple meet. A bridge and dam have been constructed upstream to control the flow of the waterfall. Guanshan Bridge sits on the upper end of the falls, on top of which sits the Qingsuo Pavilion, both of which make up the exquisite patchwork of the Qianzhangyan landscape.
