Phnom Penh Palace is located in the Four Arms Bay at the confluence of Donglisa River, Mekong River and Basha River, so it is also called Four Arms Bay Palace. Phnom Penh Palace, located to the east of Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital, is the Royal residence. At present, the palace only opens to the south, while the north is still inhabited by members of the Royal family. Therefore, visitors are forbidden to enter the palace. There are more than 20 buildings in the Palace of Phnom Penh. Most of them are yellow and white. They are typical of Khmer traditional style and have religious color. Yellow represents Buddhism and white represents Brahmanism. The palace's greatest attractions are the Coronation Hall and the Silver Palace, the palace's green landscape and the preserved murals of Hindu stories.
