The story behind Du Fu's Thatched Cottage|| The story behind 'River Village'
|| The story behind 'River Village'.
Today I want to talk about a rather light-hearted poem 'River Village':
A clear river embraces the village, the long summer village is quiet;
The swallows come and go on their own, the gulls in the water are close to each other.
The old wife draws a chessboard on paper, the young son makes a fishing hook with a needle;
But there are old friends who provide for food, what more can I ask for with this small body?
That year, with the help of friends like Yin Pei and Gao Shi, the governor of Shu State,
Du Fu and his family finally settled down in the Thatched Cottage by the Huanhua Creek.
He finally had a moment of leisure and tranquility, and could enjoy a little bit of peaceful days.
He watched the clear river flowing by the village, the swallows fluttering in front of the hall, the gulls playing freely in the water, and looked at his wife and children, each with their own joy, a sense of happiness welled up. In the turbulent times of the Anshi Rebellion, having a place to live, having a wife and children to accompany, having food to eat, leisure and tranquility, what else to worry about?
So 'River Village' can be said to be the best situation for the people of Guanzhong to take refuge in Shu, Du Fu should just be one of them, just a little better.
Du Fu's position in the history of poetry is well known, being hailed as the Poet Saint, naturally in this field, has reached the highest realm. He left more than 1450 poems in his life, Yuan Zhen commented: 'He surpasses the elegance of the past, embodies the depth of Shen and Song, his words surpass Su and Li, his spirit surpasses Cao and Liu, he hides his face in the lofty solitude of Xie, and mixes the flowery beauty of Xu and Yu, he has all the styles of the past and present, and also has what everyone specializes in.
But Du Fu was able to leave so many high-quality poems, in fact, he also needs to thank a person, and this person is Du Fu's wife.
Du Fu had only one person to accompany him in his life, at the age of 29, he married the daughter of Yang Yi, the junior minister of agriculture at the time.
We all know that before the Anshi Rebellion, Du Fu was stranded in Chang'an for ten years seeking an official position but not getting one, because the cost of living was too high, he had to place his wife and children in Fengxian County. He finally got a position as a junior military officer in the Right Guard Rate's office, but the next month the Anshi Rebellion broke out. After that, Du Fu's life was even more difficult. He wanted to follow Emperor Suzong, but like Wang Wei, he became a scapegoat and was captured by the rebels, and for a time all news was cut off, it is imaginable how difficult it was for his wife, who was struggling to survive with their children.
Despite such difficulties, Du Fu's wife, Mrs. Yang, was still able to handle it well.
Fortunately, Du Fu escaped, they moved around Qinzhou, Tonggu and finally came to Shu, so there was the plain and comfortable life in 'River Village'.
We don't see much of Du Fu's depiction of his wife, but we can see from Du Fu's experience his deep affection and gratitude for his wife, it can be said that without his wife Yang, there would be no stable rear for Du Fu, without Yang, perhaps his poems would have been born with many tunes of lamenting his own life, there would be more pettiness, and less concern for the world.
It's not easy to meet a good woman, and it's even harder to meet a good woman who will never leave you in life, Du Fu is unfortunate, but also lucky.
This is just my opinion, please forgive me.
Originality is not easy, please like and follow.
I still like it when I revisit the place. For Du Fu, I hope that every time I go to Chengdu, I can come and punch in! Small suggestion, I hope that the scenic spot can set up a few more bathrooms (too few bathrooms, not friendly to female tourists)!
Du Fu Thatched Cottage, the non-holiday experience is really good, whether for children or adults, as long as you can recite Du Fu's poems, you will have a high level of knowledge and fun, and you will pass through the familiar poems throughout your life. Radiating to his family background, the social background at that time, the scenery is even more lingering.
Ctrip booking is very convenient, the scenic spot directly brushes the ID card to enter the park. It arrived early, there were no people, very quiet; there was a historical and cultural atmosphere! It is all bamboo, very comfortable, worth a visit! Out of the film, it is recommended to go early

This is my first time coming here. Before, I was very excited and looking forward to trying this place once. It really didn't disappoint me because it was so beautiful and fun. Truly unforgettable, this place will forever impress me. The people here are very friendly and sociable, which is very valuable. I love this place and hope to come back many times in the future. Thanks a lot!!!
Also less people means you can have a great opportunity to take some nice photos. When finishing the inside part you can take a brief walk around the area and I felt quite good when I was there. Enjoy
