Kegon Falls is a waterfall located in Nikko National Park in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It originates from Lake Chuzenji and connects to the Otani River, one of the tributaries of the Kinu River. The reason for the formation of Kegon Falls is that the water pressure of Chuzenji Lake is very high, causing water to leak from the bottom of the lake, and the water flows down the valley to form a waterfall.

Karuizawa is a maple viewing spot. One of the secret spots for maple viewing is White Silk Falls. White Silk Falls is slightly far from Karuizawa Station, you need to take a 20-minute bus ride to reach it, but it does not diminish the popularity of White Silk Falls😛 The White Silk Waterfall is only three meters high, but 70 meters wide. Kumoba Pond is the most famous maple viewing spot in Karuizawa. When autumn comes, tourists from all over the world love to come here to enjoy the red leaves🍁 because the colorful leaves are reflected on the mirror-like river surface, which is definitely the most beautiful scenery in Karuizawa! There is a walking trail around the pond. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes to walk around. The road is flat and you can slow down and enjoy it. Kumoba Pond is not far from Karuizawa Station. It only takes about 7-8 minutes by bike and about 15-20 minutes on foot. The location is convenient. Don't miss Kumoba Pond when you come to Karuizawa!

Many couples like to get married in Karuizawa, and the Stone Church in the Hoshinoya Resort is one of the most popular wedding venues. The Stone Church, also known as the Uchimura Kenzo Memorial Hall, was designed by the famous American modern architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and is a famous landmark in Karuizawa. The Stone Church has a unique architectural appearance, made of stones of different sizes. The light coming through the cracks gives people a warm and sacred feeling. The whole church is integrated with nature, which coincides with the concept of the Hoshinoya Group. You can’t take pictures inside the church, but you can feel the shock of the Stone Church once you enter! It is indeed a masterpiece of a famous architect!

Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine gave me a strong sense of history. This ancient shrine is not only magnificent in architecture, but also has a fascinating natural landscape. Walking on the trail under the shade of trees, listening to the birds singing and the wind, I feel particularly peaceful. During the worship ceremony, one can feel the sacred atmosphere and be filled with awe. The pond and gardens within the shrine add to its elegant beauty, making for a memorable visit. Kamakura Hachimangu Shrine is not only a religious holy place, but also a spiritual sanctuary. I look forward to visiting it again and savoring its beauty.

Spectacular and spacious. Go from JR Kamakura Station. There are trees in the middle of the shrine to provide shade. However, there is almost no shade inside the park. It is recommended not to come during the summer noon. It is really hot. Especially the steps in front of the main hall. Children and elders will not be able to bear it. There are also museum tickets for sale inside. Personally, if you are not very interested in Kamakura and the relics of the shogunate period, you don’t need to go in.

Kamakura Komachi Street 🎏 It was almost evening when we arrived, most shops were closed and the streets were relatively quiet. It’s a pity to miss the snacks I wanted to eat 😭 In the end, I ate other flavors of bracken cakes. However, there are still a few souvenir shops open, where you can buy Kamakura-style products. There are fewer people on Komachi-dori at night, so it is recommended to come earlier in the day!

I just came back from a walk along Kamakura Komachi-dori, feeling very satisfied and a little unsatisfied. As soon as you step into this lively street, the aroma of roasted sweet potatoes and Japanese snacks wafts in the air, making you want to stop and taste something immediately. The streets are lined with small shops, including old shops selling traditional Japanese sweets and trendy stalls selling cute souvenirs and handicrafts. Although people come and go, the leisurely atmosphere is not broken at all. I particularly like the mix and match feeling here - the collision of ancient Kamakura atmosphere and modern life. Walking on the stone road, you can occasionally see tourists in kimonos walking slowly. With the shadows of the Great Buddha and Enoshima in the distance, it feels like you have traveled through a short period of time. I bought a purple sweet potato ice cream in a store and ate it while walking. The sweet taste and slightly cool texture made this spring afternoon even more perfect. There is also a small stall selling Kamakura-yaki. The steaming dim sum is fresh out of the oven. The moment you bite it, it is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is really hard not to buy a few more. Komachi-dori is not long, but there are surprises every few steps. There is a store with colorful wind chimes hanging at the door. When the breeze blows, the chimes tinkle, and the clear sound makes people feel relaxed. There are also small shrines that occasionally appear on the roadside. Although they are inconspicuous, their tranquility and solemnity make people want to stop and take a few more glances. When I left, I looked back at the street and felt that it was like a microcosm of Kamakura - lively yet gentle, traditional yet innovative. This is the kind of place that really makes you want to come again, with friends or family, to walk slowly and savor it carefully.

This lively street is lined with a wide variety of shops and restaurants, making it a dizzying sight. I particularly like the local handicrafts and delicious snacks, especially the eel rice and desserts, which are delicious. The atmosphere on the street is relaxed and pleasant, and you can see many tourists interacting with local residents, which makes people feel the enthusiasm and vitality of Kamakura. Wandering around, I can experience the history and culture as well as enjoy the food, which left me with a deeper impression of Kamakura and I look forward to visiting again.

Kamakura Koding-dori is a charming alley. Walking here, you will feel the strong historical atmosphere and unique cultural atmosphere. The architecture here retains the traditional Japanese style, making people feel like traveling back in time. There are many small shops on both sides of the alley, selling handmade crafts, cute souvenirs, and a variety of delicious food, such as fresh Japanese sweets and authentic coffee, which make people want to taste them one by one. If you like photography, this is also a great place to take photos. Every corner has its own unique scenery, whether it is an ancient wooden door or a green courtyard, it can become a highlight in your photo album. Moreover, the people here are very friendly and can always give you some local travel suggestions to make your trip more colorful. Strolling along Kamakura Koding-dori, you can slowly enjoy every moment here and feel the beauty of life. Why not take some time to sit down, have a cup of tea, and let your mood flow leisurely along the alley. This is not only a good place for tourism, but also a small world where people can relax and enjoy life.

Enoshima: Relaxing time on the Shonan coast🌊 It’s actually a long and far drive from Tokyo to here, but the seaside atmosphere is relaxing. The streets are not as crowded as those in popular spots in Tokyo, and there are restaurants around the station. I highly recommend the freshly fried curry buns filled with cheese. It's hot and the cheese is stringy and delicious. The Enoshima pudding was also very rich, and I bought it just before closing. I just saw a croquette shop and tried it, but it was nothing special so I won’t introduce it.

It is recommended that you enter after 16:00 in winter. The admission fee is only 1,000 yen (original price is 1,800 yen per person). In addition, since the sun sets at about 16:30 in winter, this is an art museum where you can take photos of the daylight, sunset, and night view at the same time.

A beautiful boat ride on the lake. The ship is beautiful, comfortable, the views from the window or deck are freezing. The whole lake is surrounded by lush trees. In the evening the clouds descended on the lake very beautifully.

It's very quiet and calm, and you can spend a comfortable time here. I recommend walking along the lake at night, as it has a nice atmosphere. However, it is quite dark at night, so I think it's best to go out with a group of people. There are fireworks in early autumn, and you can see them very well.

Mount Fuji stands tall on a desolate plateau, with white smoke belching out from volcanic activity, creating a magnificent sight. This is the transfer station for the ropeway from Sounzan and Togendai. Through this uninhabited landscape, you will rediscover your own fragility and the splendor of nature. Black eggs are a local specialty and you can try them. I heard that eating them can help you live seven years longer.

Owakudani is one of the must-see attractions in Hakone. It can be reached by cable car or other means of transportation. This time I took a one-day tour and took a tourist bus. Along the way, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Fuji. You can smell the strong smell of sulfur before you get to Owakudani. In Owakudani, you can feel the geothermal heat seeping out from the cracks in the earth's crust, which is a spectacular sight. You can buy the very famous black eggs from a nearby shop, ¥500 for four. If you like Gudetama dolls, there is also the unique Owakudani Gudetama for purchase.

Walking into Owakudani in winter, you will be struck by the magnificent valley covered in snow, with sulfur fumes floating in the air, making you feel the mysterious power of nature. While riding the cable car, overlooking the entire valley, I couldn't help but marvel at the spectacular geothermal scenery. 🚡 Of course, you can’t miss the local black hot spring eggs. I heard that eating one can extend your life by seven years. I couldn’t help but eat several! This delicious snack brings me a lot of warmth on a cold winter day. 🥚 Walking along the trail, I observed the geothermal wonders up close, and the explanation signs along the way also taught me a lot of geological knowledge. The scenery and knowledge here are fascinating, and it is a great place for family travel. 📚 This trip to Owakudani not only allowed me to enjoy the natural beauty, but also allowed me to deeply appreciate the mysteries of nature. Next time you come to Hakone, it's definitely worth visiting again! 🏞️

This time, I visited a hot spring hotel in Hakone in winter and felt the unique charm of Japanese hospitality. The room is comfortable and the view is pleasant, making you forget the hustle and bustle of the city in an instant. At night, the kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is even more amazing, and each dish is exquisite and delicious. 🍱 The most anticipated thing is to enjoy the fun of soaking in the snow in the outdoor hot springs. The steaming hot spring water and the falling snowflakes interweave to make people intoxicated and completely relax their body and mind. This unique experience is really wonderful and is especially suitable for couples to share a romantic time together. ❤️

It's a little far from Kawagoe Station, but on the day I visited, it was crowded with many young people. It is said that the god of marriage resides there, and I tried my luck with a sea bream fortune slip, which was very cute. The surrounding area is a residential area, so I recommend visiting the shrine in a quiet place.

We went early this time so we could buy train-shaped bento boxes. There are also joint tickets with the Kyoto Railway Museum. For railway fans, it is definitely worth a visit!
