We booked this 3 star hotel in Adelaide purely for its location close to an event we were attending. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find the lift was out of order. Thankfully, a second lift was operational but only with the down button, but it wasn’t the most welcoming start.
Check in was handled by friendly staff who offered a warm smile, though nothing beyond the basics in terms of service.
Once we reached our room on the 5th floor, it was hard to ignore the issues: part of the ceiling was missing and the carpets were noticeably dirty. While the room itself was functional, the bed felt more like a slab of timber than a mattress definitely not made for comfort.
We left our bag and headed out, but I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling the hotel gave me. Ultimately, we made the decision not to stay overnight and returned later to collect our bag and check out.
This may be a suitable spot for some travellers who prioritise location above all else, but unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for us.FromTHB 2,742

I had a wonderful stay at the Stamford Hotel in Adelaide. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city, just across from the casino and railway station, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. It’s incredibly convenient with easy access in every direction, whether you’re heading out for sightseeing, dining, or business.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. This has become my go-to place whenever I visit Adelaide, and I’ll definitely continue to stay here in the future.

Highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental.
The staff's exceptional responsiveness and attentiveness truly stood out. While things may not always go perfectly, they addressed my concerns quickly and made me feel genuinely welcomed - just like being at home.
A special thanks to Jenny at the front office who thoughtfully arranged a room with a view of the riverside fireworks (a delightful surprise I wasn’t expecting). From check-in at the front desk to luggage delivery and even proactive messages letting me know I could reach out anytime, the entire team (Divya, Kenneth, Kimberly, Kendra) was consistently attentive and responsive.
Though I only booked the basic room type, it was surprisingly spacious with a comfortable sofa and a convenient desk. The bathroom included both a tub and a shower.
I truly appreciated the generous space and excellent service. Everything was too good! It was really great value for money. You simply cannot find a competitor in the city at the same price that offers such an outstanding level of service, space and amenities.

The hotel overall is nice and clean. The location is good and close to the city centre, however one of the conciege staff named Christopher is absolutely impolite and rude. We just parked our car in front of the spacious area for 10 mins only without blocking the road, and he told us straight away we can't park there. He should be more polite and ask us why we park there first but not starting off saying we can't park here without knowing the reason behind. On check in reception were rude and unapologetic for increasing the advertised price (and booked price) by $30 and advised that the website we booked on must have been pricing in Singapore dollars despite the booking made in Melbourne Australia.
Then their Eftpos machine would not accept either my debit card or credit card or my wife's credit card and could not offer a solution and made us both feel like we were second class citizens, when I suggested they try their other Eftpos machine they were reluctant but eventually agreed and the payment went straight through. It depends on what yore looking for. If you like being near central shopping centre and close to Uni , bitanic garden zoo and arrs precinct as well as the Adelaide market, then this is a pretty good location for that. there are limitted facilities ffor car parking whiach is on foirst in first serve basis, and you will be charged for that on top of your accommodation. I had a great stay here compared to most hotels where the room is spacious and there's a big window with sunlight coming through and they provide welcome snacks and water for free which is rare these days unless you stay at a 5 star hotel. I was happy with the friendly customer service and allowing to store my luggage before check in and after check out. What could be improved is a sign as soon as the lift was being fixed as I didn't know the lift wasn't working when I was waiting for it on level 3. The room tends to be stuffy when the air con isn't on and brings a stuff smell. Windows need to be opened if it would open. The hotel card is quite fiddly and takes a while to unlock, they need to replace with better cards and door signal. In saying that, I would stay again as it was a good experience overall compared to other hotels I stayed in. Ambience in hotel lobby, room perfect, buffet simple standard fair but good quality food. Variety enough for the small crowd staying in.
Staff were friendly and prompt with our needs.
Only 1 day after collecting our breakfast we asked if like usual the staff could place our coffee orders but she replied there a machine up front to help ourselves.

This place is great value for money. Nice clean rooms and comfy beds. The down fall is they don't have a pool and don't have chairs to sit on the balcony.
The main thing to avoid is the hotel restaurant, it is terrible!!! I order the calamari and it looked like a kids meal, over cooked, over priced and just bland. My husband ordered the grilled chicken, it was boiled chicken they took out of the freezer and put onto the grill to get few grill lines. It was still cold in the centre. Gone downhill, Bathroom filthy. Loud bass pounding through walls until 3am, I called reception twice 1:30, 1:36 to ask speak to someone (advertised as 24/7) no answer. Rung out both times.
Toilet seat hadn't been cleaned, there was br*wn debris on it I had to wipe off. Tables either side of bed covered in old dust not wiped.

The location was excellent: just one street away from Central Market and Chinatown, and very close to a tram station, making it super convenient for getting around the city. However, we were disappointed by the apartment, which we found very unwelcoming and dark. The bedroom had no windows, and the living room windows were permanently covered by curtains that couldn't be opened. This meant we had to keep the lights on all the time. In the living room, only one of the three ceiling lights was working, creating a rather gloomy atmosphere. The check-out time between 8 and 10 AM also seemed a bit too early for us. The location is excellent, right next to the beach where little one can play in the playground. It’s a good spot to see the sun set though. Drive to harbour town is only 6 mins. The apartment has everything we need, I didn’t use the laundry though, as it looks like the washing machine is operated by a couple of coins which I didn’t bother to do😂. I would recommend this place , quiet and family friendly. I have stay at the Links hotel quite often without any issues, but this time was different. I booked through a booking website for 2 adults and 3 children, for 2 nights. First night was ok, came back 2nd day after going out for a while, aircon had been turned off, cleaners came in when we asked them not to, made 2 beds and left the double bed, didn’t clean anything at all and only left 2 towels.
When I questioned the receptionist she said I only booked for 2 people for the 2nd night. And she was quite rude , yet I had confirmation on my phone otherwise. The booking company sent thru only 2 people for 2nd night. They got it wrong and I had no apology from her or any explanation of why the room was “cleaned “ like that . My stay at Peppers was fantastic. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and very comfortable, with a great location. Housekeeping was outstanding and kept everything spotless. My expectations were definitely met with the room. Only two small negatives: the restaurant downstairs is extremely overpriced, and when I called 40 minutes before check-in to see if I could get my parking pass early, I was told no — I’d need to buy a normal ticket and then the pass at check-in, which felt inconvenient. As I was going to be leaving from the Parklands Train Terminal early in the morning this hotel was perfectly situated for my trip. Although I wasn't at the hotel for very long only about 12hrs overnight it was a good location and the room faced the parking so meant it was quieter as well and didn't get the hot afternoon sun either. I would say though there was no pricelist I could find for the mini-bar, not that I used it was only thinking of grabbing some cold water that was in the fridge. The one thing I wasn't a fan was the spa tub/shower combo. The jets need a serious clean all around them but then even standing in it meant anyone tall as in 6'5” plus may have to bend down. I would think they should rip out the spa tub and put in a nicer rain shower shower stall instead maybe just provide spa tubs in rooms that you can also put a shower stall into. I'd stay here again mainly for the location as it's also right across the street from the big park area which was fantastic to walk around on a warm evening after dinner at the pub up the street.FromTHB 3,089

Stayed here over Christmas. Room had a kitchen - dishwasher, oven + microwave + washer dryer + balcony over looking convention centre. Lovely stay, comfy bed, quiet'ish - the toilet sounds like a water pump everytime it fills up. Bathroom/shower is a little dated but functional. Parking is 30$ per day (reasonably priced - unlimited entry during the stay) Overall a great stay!! Will definitely comeback!!!FromTHB 3,501

at the center of North Terrace, the location of the hotel is very convenient. It takes 15m from airport by vehicle and only 5m to tram and trail station on foot. equipments in the room are fully prepared and easy to use. the only cons is thin wall of washroom, which causes a little noise when someone is using the toilet.FromTHB 3,397
