I booked last minute with points. Was given an excellent waterfront room. I had a couple of hours to kill so I checked out the bike loan. They had NEW well maintained bikes in a variety of sizes. I was fitted and provided a helmet and lock. I am a Hyatt globalist. Breakfast was nice and I got a $30 voucher to make up for the lounge being closed. It paid for lunch at Oyster Catchers. My only regret is they do not have an airport shuttle.From$209

I have been here to attend a 3-day conference at the conference center next door. Great hotel! VEry clean and modern. I was fortunate to get a room on teh 27th floor wit a view over the water - maginificent. The rooms are clean, large enough, and functional. There are a few decent restaurants in teh hotel and many more at your doorstep. The hotel shop is almost an entire supermarket. If you forgot something at home they have it there! Even all sorts of food. Only (tiny) negative aspect are the elevators. Although there are enough of them on rush hour you may have to wait more than 5 minutes for one to come.From$359

The hardest blasted bed I've ever been on! Then, we had some people racing their motorcycles nearby and calls to the front desk to report/request police help were met with disbelief since I couldn't tell them exactly where the motorcyles were - I did tell her to step outside and she'd hear it.... One bedroom apartment with a view of the bay. Clean pool, firepit and sand area for beach volleyball. No actual bay swimming, but you are not far from the beaches. Great staff that are pleasant and courteous. Full kitchen with dishwashers. Yes, the bathrooms can be updated but they are clean. Queen size bed in the bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room. For 2 it suits our needs. Close to Yankee Spring Training, the airport and several beaches. Housekeeping has a schedule that has been changed by Covid, but housekeeping is always bringing fresh towels for our use. No pet policy is fine with us!!From$142

Hello, my stay here has been great. The customer service was awesome. We were able to check in and the person who served us was very nice and professional and pleasant. Her name was Ms Angela. It had already been a long day. Our church group was coming in from Georgia to visit Bush Gardens. After this long trip, it was great to be able to be checked in, in a nice and timely manner. Ms Angela checked us in and was very helpful in explaining things concerning processing our payment, letting us know about our room and getting us our keys. Our room was great. Nice and clean and well put together. Sleep was great and refreshing to experience. I would definitely recommend this establishment to others. From$186

The staff at Le Meridian could not have been better or nicer! They were incredibly friendly and helpful….a big shout out to LaLithia at the front desk who was awesome and helped us upon check-in. The glass of complimentary sparkling wine upon check-in is a nice touch. The complimentary coffee in the lobby from 6 am until noon is also a nice and appreciated touch. Our room was very spacious and very clean. I am giving my review a 4 start vs 5 star because of the room decor and, quite frankly, the hotel (hallway decor) as well. Whoever was in charge of interior design should be fired! Our room was incredibly depressing because EVERY wall except the entry hall was painted a DARK gray. The carpet (new at least) was also a DARK gray. The bathroom was ….guess what….a DARK gray. Because the hotel is a converted old court house, the ceilings are high and made of cement so there is no recessed lighting (understandable). BUT, there wasn’t even a floor lamp in our room. It was SO DARK and DEPRESSING. Needless to say, we felt we were living in a CAVE. When you stay at an upscale hotel for a getaway or mini vacation, you expect to feel happy and uplifted. The decor did just the opposite. In addition, our room was lacking ANY seating area other than the bed and a desk chair (at bar height to match the bar height desk). It was CLEARLY MISSING a couple of comfortable occasional chairs. We called the front desk as soon as we walked into our room and requested a couple of chairs. They brought us 2 stacking chairs. I guess it was the best they could do under the circumstances but they certainly weren’t comfortable chairs that one would want to relax in. Also, the TV was very small given the size of the room and the distance from the bed to the TV. As for my reference to the hotel decor, and specifically the hallways, Marriott fell so far short in making this hotel what it COULD be given its unique history and architecture. When you walk down the hallways the bottom half of the walls have old marble (a nice touch and vestigial feature of the court house) BUT the top half of every wall is BARE. It is just COLD and lacks ANY sign of nice decor. Why wouldn’t they line these hallways with old, framed photos of court houses, court rooms, judges, etc???? Or old photos of Tampa? Or have a local artist paint murals on these walls? Ironically, the hotel gives its guests free passes to the Tampa Art Museum but whoever designed the interior space didn’t bother to include ANY artwork in the hallways. And the “artwork” in our room consisted of a few ugly, random cheaply framed posters. You might think that I am overly critical….after all, as I said, the staff was lovely and responsive and our room was spacious, quiet and clean. BUT, because our room was just so DARK and DREARY and DEPRESSING we wanted to minimize the time we spent at this hotel.From$189

While we only live 20 minutes away from Tampa Airport in St. Petersburg, we do not like to take the chance of having an accident on the bridge and missing an early morning flight. We have stayed here in the past but that was way before Covid started. The one thing this Marriott has gong for it is being directly connected to the Main Terminal via a carpeted, air conditioned corridor which houses the Tampa Airport Art Gallery. So if you have a very early morning flight, the hotel location allows you to avoid getting up an hour or more earlier to take an area hotel courtesy bus to the airport. I grew up in St Pete and believe the Marriott Hotel was built when the current Tampa Airport location was developed so that is 25+ years ago. While the Airport itself has modernized itself over the years, this hotel has not. The rooms are small. The bathrooms very small. No room to even provide an in-room microwave so they have one on each floor next to the ice machine to be shared by all on that floor. Yuck! If you reserve and pay for one of their ”Larger ” guest rooms as described on their website, you may get a few extra square feet of room and a love seat rather then a one person easy chair. Beware.....make sure you get the type room you were confirmed for as they tried to give us the standard size room when we reserved the larger room at a higher rate. Do not bother paying more for a Concierge Level room as the lounge was closed when Covid started and they have never reopened it. For dinner, we tried to order room service. FYI....there are 3 fast food restaurants and two table service ones in the Main Terminal. Dinner time food is available from the Skyye Bar and Grill. You must order through the Marriott App however I found both price and menu item discrepancies between what was listed there and what I saw on the menu posted on the hotel's Marriott website. So I called to speak to someone in room service. There isn't anyone available to talk to. So I went down stairs to the Front Desk and it just so happens that the Food Manager was standing there. I pointed out to her all the discrepancies, which was really confusing to me as a guest, and she said she would have someone look into it. Meanwhile she offered to take our order. When it came, it was all take out food containers, plastic silverware, and paper packets of salt and pepper. I know this type of service was necessary during the height of Covid, but now? Where's the room service with food brought up on a tray or cart that could be used as a dining table? Yet I was stilled charged a 3% Room Service Delivery Charge and a $5.00 ”Other” charge with no explanation. So it cost us $56 for a Thai Salad, a Caesar Salad, and a very small Pizza. Best you take a walk to the Main Terminal and find something there. Luckily I reserved our room last January for $175. I kept checking prices since then to see if they would go lower. At one recent point, that same room was listed for $350. Not worth that type From$259

Our stay with the Godfrey Hotel and Cabanas Tampa was so amazing, we just HAD to book another night! Guest services even made modifying our booking a breeze! We were able to keep our save room and there were no extra or hidden charges. They simply continued to deduct our resort fees from our original payment. Hotel Haya is an an amazing hotel located in he heart of Tampa’s Ybor City Historic and Entertainment District just minutes and blocks from downtown and the best airport in the world. The coffee shop has the best café con leche of any place in Tampa, the Flor Fina restaurant has a wonderful menu that serves the best lunch and dinner in Tampa. As an ex worker of one of the hotels from the Wyndham corporate, This hotel proves you the opposite of what professionalism and good customer service is.. My review from my stay on the second week of June has been erased. I am not going to repeat that uncomfortable moment we had when the manager called my cell phone to ask me for payment for 1 extra night when the night before we already had walked to the front desk and tried to pay at the counter for the next day. My husband was told that there was no need to pay or sign any document since we already had a credit card authorization form on file and a certain rate already accepted by me. The next day the manager's excuse was that there was a misscomunication and by that day my form was already expired. Long story short, between trying to call Wyndham corporate an repeating over and over by phone the story and asking them to send me their email so I can send all the documentation and proves and also getting an email from the manager saying that my review was going to affect his business, the corporate resolution was to give me 3,000 reward point and if I wanted something else I needed to call the manager of the property again. They even sent the shuttle to pick us up from the airport so we didn’t have to re-rent a car. Not upset at us when finding out we were at an airport they didn’t service. Both the morning cooked to order breakfast as well as the Manager's Evening Reception are always my favorite thing about any Embassy Suites Hotel I stay at. I will most definitely stay at this hotel anytime that I am in Tampa, whether for spring training, or a Bucs football game in the fall. All the shuttle van drivers, Mark, Reynaldo & Robert were great, driving me to anywhere within a 2 mile radius of the hotel. Also, 2 of the bartenders at the Evening Reception, Christina & Todd are very friendly & great service.

There was complimentary washers/dryers. VERY friendly staff...and some that went out of their way to make us feel welcome...Wayne, Allie & Tammie. Wayne & Allie greeted us at the desk on most evenings and made sure we had access to the ice machine, which we needed each day. Tammie was always a bright, cheery person each morning, always ready to assist us with all our breakfast needs. Also want to comment that even though during our 2 week stay, one of the elevators quit & the ice machine broke down, but they were both up within a reasonable period of time. Our only suggestions is to get rid of the tasteless scrambled eggs, don't run out of muffins, add wheat bread.

Although the hotel looks ordinary, the room is good, we booked the presidential suite, the room is not only large and stylish, but also very clean, with private bathroom. The room also has a couch and office area to separate the bed from the work place. The breakfast provided by the hotel is not only delicious, the portion is sufficient and continues to be served, and the staff here are very warm and friendly. In addition, it is only a 5-minute drive from the hotel to the olive grove, red lobster and McDonald's. This place is really quiet! The price is very reasonable and highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel wowed me as soon as I walked in. I did everything through mobile so I missed out on the happy hour special they were running. Once Gina at the bar explained it to us and we spoke to Nick & his manager they were able to give us the card we needed for happy hour. Overall it was a great experience that I had there. As a travel agent, I definitely will recommend it to my clients and will stay there again myself.

It’s always been more expensive than most-Prbly because it’s directly across from Busch Gardens but we didn’t go to BG. The hotel was just ok and no variety in breakfast. Every level surface that was not used regularly was thick with dust both in our room and in the breakfast & lobby area. The bed made us roll together although comfortable enough-but Not for the price. The personnel were very helpful. The area was a bit “seedy” with ppl that didn’t appear to be guests hanging out outside near hotel and on its premises. I’m sure this area has gone downhill over time. General looks of hotel inside ok but it does appear to be an older building. It is Right on a Super busy highway with no wiggle room at all! At least I got my wish of staying here but certainly disappointed. We Prbly won’t stay here again

When we arrived after 8 pm and a very long frustrating day we were greeted by a delightful young lady I believe here name was Mikesha. She did not see our reservation at first, which really made our hearts sink, but she continued to look and she found us a room. She was truly a wonderful person. She even greeted us the next morning at breakfast. I told her I would post after we returned from our trip. We were the couple that had our flight canceled so we missed our next flight to Africa. But it all worked out. The hotel is lovely but the manager and Mikesha were terrific. Most enjoyable stay. Thank you.

The hotel is located something outside a office zone, which is why you need a car. The breakfast is OK and continental is actually enough. The rooms are a little older and partly awaiting what would actually be renovated. All clean and ordened. Some rooms are not recommended, however, since it seems that despite smoking bans, they are sometimes smoked in the rooms or are close to the guest washing rooms and are also in front of them with noise equipment. There you should then contact the staff for another room. This has worked best and smoothly with us. The air conditioning in the room is, as mostly in the United States, relatively noisy and the refrigerator is also heard. We would like to emphasize particularly the extremely friendly and helpful staff, all from the reception to the restaurant to cleaning. They have been treated so rarely and familiarly.
