Hotel reception was very welcoming for a midnight (ish) arrival. Apartments are substantial in size with good facilities. The problem is that they allow smoking, even on non-smoking floors, so cigarette smells permeate the apartments and no amount of 'refreshing' spray can eliminate the odour. We had a problem on our last morning where the entire water supply for the apartment cut out mid-shower and wasn't restored for over an hour.
The staff organised a free cake for us to celebrate a birthday while staying at the hotel.
The promised chocolate hour timings were mis-communicated to us, which was disappointing for our children. Breakfast was a pretty good range with a few multi-cultural options. The on-demand omelette service always had a long line and the restaurant area didn't have enough tables during peak times to accommodate us.
Valet parking was available for hotel guests but because the apartments are in a building 100 or so metres away, it was not practical to use for our stay.
Overall a pleasant stay but still quite a few service issues for the hotel to improve.From$74

We Stayed for 5 nights at th Fairmont Dubai and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From check in to check out with the lovely girl her name's, (Ms .Gharam)she was polite and extremely helpful. My husband and I stayed in a nice view room which had plenty of space for the two of us. The room was very clean and comfortable. We wanted a few days of rest and we enjoyed our time by the pool during the day. The staff at the poolside bar and restaurant were lovely and looked after us all day. A big thank you for all the staff and special thanks to Ms Gharam at front desk for her excellent service. Our favourite restaurant in the evening was greac, sushi. Food was really tasty and Also thank you to the man who was in charge of Shisha. The grape and mint was an amazing combination. We will definitely return to the Fairmont DubaiFrom$136

I had an amazing one night stay at the QE2 - as a Brit now living in Austrália the QE2 has a special place in my heart - never as a Cunard ship could I have afforded travelling to New York - now I could and the ship is sparkling - the renovation is fantastic throwing you back to the heyday of her life - the service was fantastic the food and drink authentic and worth the stay! All the staff at SLS Business Bay were so accommodating and attentive. The property is so clean and modern; very picturesque. We enjoyed Privilege pool, S Bar and Fi’lia. Thank you to GM Flavin for making sure our balcony view from the room was city view perfect. The bed is extra comfortable and the big bathtub is a special addition and was definitely utilized. Thank you to Adam who was so helpful during check in. Adam’s smile was so inviting. He’s just the man for the job at front desk check in. Keep him around. Special Thank you to Laura who was communicating with me for 2 months on room decoration for a special birthday surprise. So many other staff members that were exceptional. Great value economic hotel, very spacious, busy elevators like any vertical lodging. Also had an issue with the fire alarm staff should be trained to be more polite. The iron triggered the alarm, the staff showed up looking for penalty tribue, they were so fixated on the idea that I was smoking despite being a non-smoker, it was very dismissive and outright rude, I actually had a hard time thumbing them put of my suite!
Still the place is good, as long as the staff learn that extracting penalty fees from guests shouldn't become the priority, once they are educated, they were not be desperate to invade rooms and pretend to be professional investigators
They front desk did apologize for the poor training and promised it will never ever happen again. So based on that I must leave a 5/5 review as the hotel was nice when that incident is isolated.From$110

The Obelisk, Dubai Club upgrade is a must! The 360 degree views from floor 51 are unforgettable. I enjoyed many a cup of tea on Floor51 viewing amazing sunsets, the night sky and watching the coloured lights on the Burj Khalifa. During a very hot period due to a sudden change in the weather it was a treat to be able ‘pop’ to floor 51 and enjoy tea/coffee, afternoon tea and drinks in the evening whilst enjoying the stunning views. An excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to meet all dietary needs. The room was lovely with stunning views. The swimming pool allowed a good swim and was particularly pretty in the evening. Fascinating watching the window cleaners! Not a job I would want. I am full of admiration. We did receive an upgrade as we waited 90 minutes to check in for club class. Staff need to be more relaxed. Just feel they are on edge. Your plate disappears nearly before you have finished eating. This in turn put me on edge. A more welcoming atmosphere needs to be adopted but still remaining standards. A special thank you goes to 'Satish' (do hope I have the correct name). It's very new having been opened about 18 months ago. Everything is in very good condition and all fittings are of very high quality.
Staff members were always friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good with plenty of healthy options such as salads and fruits.
We used the pool most days and it was very enjoyable. There was a bit of shade in places to protect from the sun.
A feature we enjoyed by the pool was the availability of healthy food and snacks. Often poolside food consists of endless deep-fried junk food like chips and burgers. At the MO you can get sushi, sashimi, salads and plenty of low calorie food. And burgers and chips!
The hotel is of course right next to the beach. I believe the beach is about to be extended further into the sea which might mean the beach will be closed any time soon. It seems the hotel is too near the water putting it at risk of flooding in extreme weather conditions.
Overall I would happily return to the Mandarin Oriental.

1 get ready for the music to be blaring 24 hours a day - the concept of the hotel. If not the music, then the construction work that goes on around the clock. What is louder is the noise or the music, sometimes it is not clear. I warn you!!! The music is blaring very loud and it is impossible to sleep. Adults lose their nerve and go to other hotels despite their reservations. We booked for 1 night and were delighted when we left.
2 coastline 200 meters to the sides there is nowhere to go and they won’t let you in, there is construction all around.
3 towels 2 pieces in the room.
4 The air conditioning system works strangely!!! Freezes to death regardless of settings.
5 the shower stall is fenced off with a partition, water spreads throughout the entire bathroom.
6, the ventilation in the bathroom does not work, the ceilings are covered in condensation, and the smell is also not very good.

My first stop was Bulgari and stayed for two days.
First of all, Bulgari is not far from the airport. I took Emirates Business Class Guangzhou-Dubai. I got on the bus at 4:00 am and arrived at the hotel at about 6:00 am. The hotel lobby in the morning is very elegant and the lobby manager is very helpful Politely gave us the room to check in directly (it is reasonable to say that the room will not be given until late)
Bulgari gives me the feeling that the design of the elegant resort-style hotel lobby is very fashionable. I watched the sun rise in their lobby, full of elegance. The hotel is completely English. If you can talk fluently, you can feel it The Hangul demeanor of this hotel is very noble.
I chose to live on the first floor because it is convenient to access and use the hotel's facilities. I chose to rent a supercar for this stop.
This hotel is especially suitable for renting a supercar because the parking lot is directly in front of the hotel.
The room is very large and the design is also very noble. There is a separate bathroom and the bathtub is elegantly placed on the seat overlooking the sea.
It is recommended to order breakfast in the room. I can only say that Bulgari’s breakfast is really one of the few that is very detailed and delicious. Breakfast is a test of English. It is recommended to understand the menu first and then call the room service. If there is a car rental, I will recommend it Stay in this hotel for two days, because it is very convenient to go to many attractions in Dubai. The environment is very quiet and elegant.

|7.13km from QatarVery nice place, studio serviced apartments are very nice. But don't get a room close to the entrance gate and road because cars and motorcycles will sleep deprive you all night. Very busy road as it goes down to the beach carparks with very loud cars and motorcycles going past all night until about 4am-5am. So request a room down the opposite end of the resort from the road and you should have an awesome stay. Resort has its own scuba diving courses, kite surfing lessons and wind surfing and paddle boards and stuff. It has a very good gym with top of the line gym machines and equipment and a very nice swimming pool area. Resort right smack bang on the beach. It has a nice sitting area where you can enjoy a meal and some drinks and look out at the ocean.

There are nice jogging/walking/biking paths along the beaches that are lit at night. Several nice restaurants within 10 min walk. Every morning we enjoyed an excellent breakfast buffet at the hotel. The choices, the freshness, the taste and presentation of the food were very good, especially considering the reasonable price of 55 UAE dirha. The hotel staff was helpful and made us feel special.
