1. Excellent location, with decent dining options nearby.
2. They have their own parking, which costs 80 RMB per day.
3. The facilities are on par with a quasi-five-star hotel, very new.
4. Service is great; requests are attended to quickly.
5. Plenty of hot water for a comfortable shower.
6. Food delivery needs to be picked up in the elevator lobby; they don't deliver to the room.
7. The room was very warm in winter.
Drawbacks:
1. The double room facing the road wasn't very soundproof.
2. The shower head lacked labels, so it was hard to tell which one was which.
3. I suggest using robots for food delivery, a service many five-star hotels now offer.FromAU$174

Let's skip the positives; it's an old, established hotel.
Here are the negatives:
1. The hairdryer was broken. I tried multiple outlets and confirmed it was completely unusable. I took a shower right before leaving in the morning and then discovered the hairdryer was out of order. Luckily, I have short hair, so it dried quickly, but if it were a woman with long hair, it would definitely have caused a delay. When I brought this up at the front desk, their reaction was simply to thank me for informing them, without a single apology.
2. There was renovation work going on upstairs in the hotel, and the sound of the electric drill was quite loud during the day. There was absolutely no warning given at check-in, nor was there any notice about renovation noise placed in the room.
3. The toiletries were in large bottles, but unbelievably, they couldn't fit into the shower niche (as shown in the picture). I had to make do by placing them awkwardly, or else, when I needed shampoo while showering, I had to open the door, step out of the shower stall, and grab it from the sink area.FromAU$103

The quadrangle courtyard has a very strong positive vibe, and the scenery is beautiful. The Ming and Qing dynasty architecture really captures the essence of old Beijing. What I liked most was the private butler, Danika, who provided thoughtful service; even the kids loved her. Breakfast can be delivered to the room, which was an absolute treat. The room was spacious, giving the children plenty of room to play, and they could also enjoy the courtyard. Danika helped us with our luggage and thoughtfully prepared sun hats for the children, which were incredibly practical. Five-star recommendation!!!FromAU$1,684

We brought our child for refractive surgery during the summer holiday. The hotel's location was incredibly convenient, being just four or five subway stops from Tongren Hospital. The room is very clean and the hotel is very new! I have been staying in their group hotels all over the country. One reason is that the hotel is newly opened nearby, clean and has good service! The other reason is that their hotel locations are basically located in convenient locations.
This one in Beijing is very user-friendly. Recently, I opened a business nearby. I chose the cheapest reservation. The front desk called me that day to explain the situation. I told them that it was okay because I arrived in the early morning. It was the cheapest room type I voluntarily chose and it had nothing to do with the hotel. The front desk agreed to me humanely that there were other vacant rooms and they could help me upgrade for free.
The room pictures are for free upgrades!
Moreover, during my stay, the service at the hotel front desk made me feel warm! From the front desk receptionist's smiling service, patiently and meticulously explaining the check-in process, to the quick and efficient handling of the procedures, every detail showed a high level of professionalism. In the subsequent check-in process, there were problems that were actively communicated and solved. They always responded enthusiastically, using thoughtful suggestions and timely actions to solve the problems, making me feel as if I were at home. Such high-quality service must give a big thumbs up to the staff at the hotel front desk!
I strongly recommend this hotel! This group of hotels in other provinces also have the same service attitude, which is really good! Like 👍FromAU$89

We brought the kids to Le Méridien Badaling for a relaxing weekend. The hotel is very close to the Jingzang Expressway, and it only took us an hour to get there from the city, so the transportation was very convenient. The room was spacious, and the facilities were complete, with a nice hot spring and kids' play area. Breakfast was abundant, and Wanda Plaza is right next door. We couldn't get a reservation for the hotel's buffet dinner, but we had a great meal at Oyster Hero instead.
Our butler, David, was very enthusiastic and arranged a late check-out for us, so the kids could rest at noon before we left. He also provided four extra bottles of water for the room; his service was always available online.
Overall, we were very satisfied. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that the hotel's renovation was done quite a while ago, and it gets pretty crowded on weekends, but these were all within an acceptable range.

We come to Half-Mountain at Haiwan almost every winter, and this time the experience was particularly fantastic. The service was incredibly attentive. My butler, Luna, sent me a lot of information about hotel activities in advance. I tried the morning floating sound bowl session in the Mercury hot spring pool with an Indian instructor. Listening to the bowls while focusing on my breath and the sensation of floating was incredibly relaxing. The morning Hatha yoga class, also with an Indian instructor, was very soothing and stretching. The service at Half-Mountain is genuinely excellent; every staff member is friendly and enthusiastic, and requests are met very quickly. The hot springs are as good as ever, the water is clean, and my skin felt wonderfully smooth afterward. During this stay, I tried both the Chinese and Western restaurants. The Chinese food portions were very generous, and the boiled beef and stir-fried eggs with tomatoes were surprisingly delicious. The Chinese meal also came with mixed grain rice, steamed with raisins and red dates, which my child devoured two bowls of! The Western food was also very good. As we were leaving, Luna even gave my child an ice cream, which made them incredibly happy. The facilities and environment were excellent, but the room amenities fell far short of expectations. The refrigerator wasn't cold, blood stains were found on pillows, the bedding was torn, and the bathroom door couldn't lock.
That said, I'm immensely grateful to the hotel butler, Bradley, for his exceptional care. He provided 24/7 support for my family and me, promptly addressing every request—whether fixing malfunctioning phones, repairing all broken lights in the room, or other issues. His help extended beyond hotel duties: when we planned outings, he offered invaluable advice, practical tips, and essential reminders. Daxing Airpot Beijing|32.32km from city center
Affordable prices, a pleasant environment, and numerous hot spring pools are why we return every year. This visit brought a mix of pleasant surprises and some disappointments.
The hot spring section, in particular, delivered exceptional service. Attendant Han Xuejuan noticed me sitting and proactively offered a fresh, dry towel and a bottle of water. Another male attendant also came around with a tray, offering complimentary tea. Attendant Wang Fang checked in with guests, asked for feedback on our experience, and even gave a small gift to my child, who was absolutely delighted.
However, the dining service within the hot spring area was quite disappointing. We arrived at 4:40 PM and were told ordering would only begin at 5:00 PM, so we had to wait. We ordered two rice bowls (donburi style) and a bowl of noodles. As my child was nearly done with her beef rice, she pointed out a hair in my bowl—a very thin, small one. Given we were almost finished, I didn't see the point in complaining, and honestly, even when cooking at home, such things can happen, so I decided to overlook it.
What's more, the bowl of noodles still hadn't arrived after more than 40 minutes. When I inquired, they said a large pot of water hadn't boiled yet. There was no prior warning when we ordered that preparing it would take over 40 minutes due to the need to boil such a large pot of water. My child was already hungry and restless, which was incredibly frustrating.
I was seriously considering giving a low rating for the dining experience, but the outstanding service from the hot spring staff deeply impressed me. Ultimately, I decided to let it go; a little mutual understanding goes a long way.FromAU$122

The room was spacious and bright, with a balcony and a super king-size bed, making it very comfortable for our family of three. Overall, we were very satisfied. However, there was a slight hiccup during check-in. We arrived early in the morning, and our group-buying room included access to the Paleontological Institute at the World Horticultural Exposition Park. We had called ahead to inquire if we could check in first and use the tickets to visit the institute before checking in. So, we went to the hotel reception to check in. There were two receptionists, and each had one person ahead of them. I randomly took a spot and waited for 20 minutes, but the person ahead of me still hadn't finished. My child was getting impatient, so I asked the receptionist how much longer it would take. The staff didn't respond at all, but the person checking in turned around and said she was checking in as a group. Then, just then, the person next to us... There was no one at the other front desk, so I went there immediately. I complained that it was taking too long, but the person who checked me in was the duty manager for the day, Kongkong. She was very patient, explained the situation, and apologized for making me wait. She quickly checked me in, gave me a sunny room, and the room was already prepared and ready to move in. It was around 9 a.m., which was very heartwarming. Later, she added me on WeChat to ask if I needed anything. Before checkout, she proactively asked if I needed a late checkout and processed my checkout until 3 p.m. The manager was also a six-month pregnant woman, and she handled everything so well despite her health condition. Other hotel staff should learn from her. The hotel's buffet breakfast was average, but there was a queue around 9 a.m., probably due to the large number of people on the weekend. The wait wasn't too long, but I hope this can be improved. The children's heated pool was nice, and the kids had a lot of fun. However, the deep end was too cold, probably not even 20 degrees Celsius. Only one or two adults went in and swam for a while before coming out. I hope this can be improved.FromAU$125

We return to this distinctive luxury hotel in the Beijing suburbs annually. All rooms boast an elegant, classic decor, complemented by very modern facilities and wonderfully comfortable bedding.
As a regular guest this time, I received a complimentary upgrade to a private hot spring room. Soaking in the private hot spring on a rainy night, with the night view as a backdrop, offered a truly unique ambiance.
The service was impeccable; they were incredibly accommodating, providing an outdoor table and chair set, and even pre-cleaning the private hot spring pool for us.
The courtyard is home to eight incredibly friendly cats, who lazily sunbathe on the ground and under cars. It's evident they're cherished and very much at home here. We also spotted two adorable little squirrels, and I heard there are even hedgehogs!
It's a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, surrounded by charming little creatures – a perfect sanctuary for body and soul. That's why I make time to visit several times a year. It's absolutely worth the hour-long drive to unwind and celebrate significant anniversaries.FromAU$148

This hotel is a true lifesaver for parents traveling with young children. You can enjoy the private in-room hot spring without stepping outside, and the kids can play to their heart's content. Afternoon tea snacks are served, and with L'Occitane bath amenities provided, there's absolutely no need to bring your own. The sukiyaki from the set menu was generously portioned and delicious, leaving us completely satisfied, and the à la carte salmon sashimi was also fresh. This is the first and only time our entire family has unanimously agreed on an experience with absolutely no complaints – truly commendable! Our only minor wish is that the hotel's on-site children's play area was more spacious and better signposted. Plus, Guorui City and New World are just a 5-minute walk away, making shopping and snacking super convenient! The room was clean and odor-free, and the bed was so soft I didn't want to get up. The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly warm and welcoming. I even forgot my charger, and they actively helped me borrow one! The *youtiao* (fried dough sticks) and *doufunao* (tofu pudding) at breakfast were incredibly authentic. There's also a Huguosi Snack bar downstairs, perfect for late-night cravings. It's an established hotel, and it feels reliable. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Beijing!FromAU$103

This was my second trip to Beijing in mid-to-late October, and I chose to stay at the same hotel I did years ago, which added a nice sense of familiarity to revisiting the city. The most appealing aspect is the hotel's central location in Wangfujing. The interior environment is still quite good; whenever you return, you can enjoy a hot tea in the lobby to ward off the early winter chill. I didn't get the 'Jiangnan' room, so I opted for a premium room with a bathtub. Although I don't usually take baths, the room felt much more spacious, and having a window for ventilation was convenient for temperature control. The cleaning lady was very outgoing and easy to communicate with; she replenished the water daily, and tea bags and soft drinks were refilled the next day after use. For small items I needed temporarily, I could provide a list on WeChat mini-program, and a robot would deliver them, which is perfect for introverted travelers. However, since there's only one elevator and one robot, food deliveries might be a bit delayed during peak hours, but calling for human service is a warm touch. When checking out on the morning of October 26th, the front desk attendant was very gentle, asked for detailed feedback, and even gave a small gift, which brought a perfect end to my trip. Sorry I promised to leave a review but only had time to write a few words today (๑• . •๑). Finally, I suggest the hotel updates the in-room TVs when appropriate; not being able to easily cast content feels a bit outdated.FromAU$122

From 2014 to 2019, I spent six-weeks each summer teaching in Beijing, and over that time, the Boyue Beijing Hotel has served as nothing less than a home away from home for me. It is exactly its friendly embrace and easy elegance that distinguishes the Boyue from Beijing’s larger, higher-profile hotels. Still, after a six-year absence caused by the pandemic, I was concerned that I might find a far less welcoming version of the place I had truly come to love. It was a relief to see that Liu Baojun was still out front and that Lisa was still at the head of the dining room, but so many others who had made my stays at the Boyue so unforgettable had moved on. However, no sooner than I checked in, my worries began to vanish completely. That’s when I first met three extraordinary new staff members—Jiaqi, Yonah , and their supervisor Anais—who demonstrated again and again that hospitality was still the heart and soul of coming to stay at this Chaoyang institution. Through the hard work of such talented and committed professionals as these three, the Boyue not only continues to check all the boxes that one expects to find at the highest levels of the hospitality industry—comfort, attentiveness, fine dining, and first-rate facilities—but I am also convinced that in the years since the pandemic, it has actually surpassed its own considerable track record of excellence. Thank you, one and all, for making my latest visit such an absolute pleasure!FromAU$94

Check-in was a bit chaotic as there was some confusion regarding my booking of two rooms, which led to a need for two keys. This was somewhat frustrating. However, the hotel itself was immaculate and very clean! I was impressed with the standard of the rooms, and the facilities were excellent. The pool was pristine, and the gym amenities were fantastic. The hotel matched the photos perfectly, and we had a lovely stay overall.
For breakfast, we ordered room service. One room’s breakfast was satisfactory, but the other ordered two waffles and received pancakes instead. We brought this up at checkout, but the same lady who checked us in didn’t seem interested in addressing the issue and charged us the full amount despite their mistake.FromAU$201

I really hit the jackpot choosing this hotel for my autumn trip to Beijing. When you're here for the fall foliage, you want to be living in the middle of it, and this hotel's window views are just incredible – definitely worth the hype for Instagram. Lots of people come here just to take photos, and the great thing about staying at the hotel is you can avoid the crowds.
The location is fantastic. It's about a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Gate 4, which makes catching the flag-raising ceremony and exploring the square's attractions super convenient. I was in Beijing for 3 days and visited Tiananmen Square twice, getting through security very quickly both times. It seems Gate 4 has fewer people. There's also a bus stop right next to the hotel, making public transport very easy. The subway stations for various lines are about a ten-minute walk away, which is perfectly acceptable for someone who enjoys walking like me.
I'm not too picky about cleanliness; as long as it's presentable enough to sleep in, I'm fine, and I bring a lot of my own stuff anyway. So, broadly speaking, I didn't notice any issues, and I didn't pay attention to the small details. But since the hotel has been around for so long, I'm sure it's up to standard. The overall decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it has everything you need. I particularly loved the large bathtub; coming back from the cold wind outside with a foggy head, a bath really clears everything up. The front desk staff were also quite friendly. The only thing is, it's a very popular hotel, and it was fully booked when I arrived, so I had to wait until after 2 PM to check in. Thankfully, I could leave my luggage in the lobby, so I dropped my bags and went straight out to explore without any delay to my plans.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with the hotel, and I'll definitely stay here again next year when I come to Beijing for the autumn leaves.FromAU$148

Excellent location - 1min from Beijing apm and main Wangfujing street. Lots of food around the vicinity but you got to explore a little bit.
I booked a Deluxe Twin Room. It was super spacious. Automated toilet seat(open/close) with bidet. Nice bathtub though I did not use it, since it's a hassle to open/close the open concept kind of toilet/bathroom.
Breakfast spread was decent but I personally think there could have been more variety. There's a few live station such as the zhajiangmien and omelette station. It was nice. A little more improvement could be made as I noticed the chef not wearing gloves. I do not mind but I just thought a 5 star hotel chef would be wearing gloves. No complains though.
Reception staff was very courteous, greeting you whenever they see you. Excellent service.
Cons - I think the lobby is way too small for a 5 star hotel like Hilton. There are only 2 seats and a long sofa which can sit up to 5 pax(maybe?). There are always guests around, so usually, I would have no place to sit. Though it's not an issue for me, I thought those elderly might need them. I walked around Wangfujing and noticed neighbouring hotels such as Regent, Novotel(4-star) has very huge lobby. But it is what it is.
Overall - Nice place, great service staff and spacious room. Breakfast spread could be better and open concept bathroom can be automated such that it is easy for people to close the doors. Lobby size is a big minus.

The amazing manager at Hilton Beijing! She treated me like a VIP! ✨
Seriously, everyone, you won't believe it! I'm completely won over by the Hilton Beijing this time! Not because of the facilities, but because of an incredibly warm and thoughtful floor manager, Zhang Fengfeng!
✔️ Exclusive pre-check-in communication: A day in advance, I received a message from Manager Fengfeng. She carefully asked about my preferences, if I needed a crib, or any specific pillow preferences. The VIP treatment started even before I arrived!
✔️ Room full of delightful surprises: As soon as I opened the door, I was touched! There were little animals folded from towels on the table, a handwritten welcome card, and a welcome gift. Plus, my express delivery, which I had asked to be placed in the room beforehand, was there, along with thoughtful tools to open packages. I instantly felt so cared for!
✔️ Continuous attention to my experience: It wasn't just at check-in; during and even after my stay, Manager Fengfeng specifically checked in to see if I slept well and if there was anything that needed improvement. That feeling of being constantly looked after was just wonderful!
I used to think all five-star hotels were more or less the same, but Zhang Fengfeng's service showed me what 'people-oriented' luxury truly means. This kind of genuine care deserves all my praise! ❤️FromAU$163

Our stay here was absolutely perfect! The spacious 75 sqm room, decorated in elegant beige with a blend of Chinese art and modern design, offered ultimate privacy thanks to sliding doors separating the living area and bedroom. The smart control panel, supporting 11 languages, was incredibly convenient for adjusting lighting and temperature with a single touch. The Bowers & Wilkins sound system and 75-inch high-definition TV provided an immersive audio-visual experience.
The marble bathroom offered stunning views, allowing us to enjoy the Wangfujing streetscape while soaking in the tub, with an additional TV next to the bath for extra relaxation. The walk-in closet and separate vanity added a touch of sophistication, while thoughtful details like free international calls and a multi-port charging panel were greatly appreciated.

Hotels in downtown Beijing are too expensive on weekdays... this one offers great value for money! The location of a hotel in Beijing is key! Located on the East 2nd Ring Road in Jianguomen, it's an older Japanese-owned hotel, with many Japanese guests. The rooms are also very Japanese-style, feeling like staying in a hotel in Osaka. Honestly, and without exaggeration, this was the worst hotel experience I've had among all the hotels I've stayed in.
1. The hotel is very large, and the lobby is grand and beautiful. There are staff members to help with luggage. I'm not sure of its star rating, but it has a swimming pool and a gym, and the location is good.
2. Now for the downsides: The breakfast quality is mediocre. The front desk for check-in is on the 3rd floor. Every time you want to go downstairs, you have to go to the 3rd floor to switch elevators, and then take another elevator or escalator down. The same goes for going up, you have to keep switching. This is quite inconvenient. Additionally, the laundry room charges for washing clothes, and it's a third-party service that closes at night, so it's not available 24/7.
3. I booked a king-size bed room for nearly 900 per night, and it was quite ordinary and not very spacious. There was no welcome fruit upon arrival. The mini-fridge only had one small bottle of Coke and one small bottle of Sprite, as shown in the picture. On the first day, I used the tea, but it wasn't refilled on the second day. I asked a staff member for another Coke and Sprite, thinking I'd drink them on the road, and I was incredibly surprised when they refused. The reason given was that since my previous drinks hadn't been used, they couldn't provide more. I booked for two nights, which essentially means I paid for two sets of amenities. Shouldn't two sets of amenities be configured identically? Two small bottles cost just a few yuan. Even a budget hotel wouldn't refuse something like that. It just makes the hotel seem stingy. Some staff members are snobby, arrogant, and impatient, even rolling their eyes. Just because they see a lot of foreigners, do they think they're rich? Do they look down on everyone? The experience was actually worse than staying at an Atour hotel.FromAU$124

Hidden luxury and refinement amidst the hustle and bustle of Beijing, an unforgettable stay!
This hotel perfectly hit all the right notes! The prime location is a huge plus, making commuting and sightseeing incredibly convenient. Even better, you can directly access the shopping mall by simply swiping your card, so you don't have to brave the elements for shopping or dining—a lazy traveler's dream come true.
Stepping into the room, I was immediately impressed by the tasteful furnishings. There's no ostentatious design; instead, the materials and lines exude a subtle sophistication. Coupled with art decor that blends in with Beijing's charm, from wall decorations to corner擺設, every detail reveals the ingenuity of Chinese aesthetics, making it feel like staying in an elegant urban courtyard. The cleanliness was impeccable; the bedding, bathroom, and desk were spotless. This attention to detail in hygiene made for a truly reassuring stay.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is incredibly comfortable. It avoids an overly flashy sense of luxury, offering instead a subtle yet profound comfort that makes both relaxation and work highly enjoyable. The amenities are also faultless; the pool water is crystal clear, and the gym equipment is comprehensive and well-maintained. After a workout, you can enjoy a refreshing shower, making it easy to maintain your fitness routine even while traveling.FromAU$114

This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.
The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.
There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?
The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.
We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.
Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.FromAU$187

|66.8km from city center[Super heartfelt evaluation! ] We must call our landlord brother and sister crazy! Yesterday, this Yanqing Courtyard B&B where I lived with a group of friends was really amazing!
Let's say that this yard is too mixed! Just entered the door, the red-painted door building of the old Beijing courtyard house hooked my soul away, and when I turned my head, I saw the horse head wall and gave me a whole —— Why did I still cross to Huizhou? The most funny thing is that there is a big Northeast cockroach hidden in the house! A few of our southern friends howled and flung up, that simmered warmly, with air conditioning can almost live the winter!
The six rooms are all new and bright, the bedding smells of sunshine, and the bathroom is cleaner than my own! Focus on boasting about this fairy kitchen! The good guy opened the cabinet and I was shocked. The bone porcelain plate was bright enough to look in the mirror. The high cups were neatly arranged. This is not a five-star hotel configuration! Double-open large refrigerator + commercial freezer, we brought 30 pounds of lamb rolls are dissatisfied!
It's fun at night! The front yard has a barbecue grill and oil, and the backyard iron pot is squeaking and fragrant. It's ten miles away to eat and drink. Maiba is in the KTV ”The most dazzling ethnic style”. The mahjong table is ”hu!” screaming one after another. The most amazing thing is that when the night is quiet, lying in the yard to see the stars, the fruit forest in the south rustles, and the security guard in the parking lot in the north also helps us to see the car. This sense of security is absolutely amazing!
The landlord sister is very caring! I heard that we are going to turn on the floor heating in advance, and we will stuff the apples we grow before leaving! Don't say anything, we will come to Panyu to eat iron pot when it snows in winter! Brothers and sisters will be done by rushing to this fairy yard! [Love][Love][Love]

From the rooms, restaurant, and lawn to the coffee garden, every space here is meticulously designed and lovingly maintained by the Da Yi Jia team themselves, a true testament to their passion and dedication. Compared to other farm stays in the vicinity, this is truly the gold standard for guesthouses.
Service: Absolutely impeccable! They treat you with such genuine warmth and sincerity. When we arrived, Beijing was in the midst of a cold snap, but the underfloor heating had been turned on beforehand, making our room wonderfully warm and cozy. They helped with our luggage upon arrival and bid us farewell like family. We were lucky to have bright sunshine these two days despite the low temperatures, and the sun kept our room toasty warm. Sitting on the sofa outside the door, I was so comfortable I didn't want to leave, haha. What impressed me most is how Da Yi anticipates and promptly fulfills your needs, going above and beyond to let you fully immerse in the beauty of rural life. I won't give away all the details; you truly have to experience it yourself.
Cleanliness: Both the rooms and the restaurant were spotlessly clean – especially the restaurant. Paired with a generous breakfast spread, it truly makes you appreciate the beauty and tranquility of life. For dinner, we had Da Yi's highly recommended Guizhou sour fish hotpot (Yuan Yang style), which was the most delightful and comforting hotpot experience I've had in a long time. Accompanied by healthy, fresh produce harvested from their own greenhouse, it was incredibly satisfying on a cold winter's day.
There's so much more I could say, but I'll stop here for now. The true magic of this place is something everyone should experience for themselves. Finally, I hope Da Yi Jia's guesthouse continues to excel, and I can't wait to visit again!

First of all, it is surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side, just like a paradise. The first thing I felt after getting off the car was that time had slowed down. The landlord received us very warmly. There is a dedicated parking lot at the door. There is no need to worry about the car being scratched. There is an inexplicable sense of intimacy after entering the courtyard, just like It's like arriving at your own home. Because we arrived late, the host cooked us a super large reservoir fish as soon as we arrived. It was really delicious (reservation required). After eating and drinking enough, we could sing karaoke, or play a few laps of 3-for-1 (both are Free). When you are tired, you can look at the stars. There is an observatory here, which is a great place to appreciate the night sky. (Wear more clothes when it’s cold.) The landlord was very enthusiastic and provided us with military coats for free. It was so considerate, as it was late at night. When I returned to the room, the floor heating throughout the house was hot. It was so cozy with the lights in the room. The suspended bed, smart toilet, and wet and dry bathroom separated made the living experience excellent. We had a wonderful night's sleep. When the first ray of sunshine came in in the morning, it felt great. When we got up, the host also provided us with local polenta, sweet potatoes, pancakes, and old pickles. It was such delicious food that we haven't had in a long time. It felt like I was back when I was a child. Beautiful times are always short, and we reluctantly left. But we will come again, and we will make an appointment with Bulaotun to stay until next spring when the flowers bloom. We will definitely come to this sea of flowers to check in as a souvenir!

Qinglong Gorge/Shentangyu
Beijing
|65.84km from city centerThe room is large and tidy, but because of autumn, the bugs will like to go to the house, but it has no big impact. The whole is very quiet and has a sense of atmosphere. There is a living room tea room, the dining room and the bedroom are also very large, and the living is very comfortable. Just next to Qinglong Gorge, you can go to play, there is a fruit shop not far from the village, here to thank the front desk lady and the master, the girlfriend has a stomachache in the middle of the night, gastroenteritis, but the front desk lady and the master sent the medicine in time, thank you very much, I wish business prosperity!

|85.77km from city centerI went to Baihewan on May 1st and booked this homestay. The owner is very enthusiastic, the small courtyard environment is very good, and the facilities are everything. There is a farmhouse next to the homestay, and you can order takeaway if you don't want to barbecue yourself. And pet-friendly, there is a puppy in the yard that will not run around.

Universal Beijing Resort and Sorrounding
Beijing
|23.79km from city centerThe courtyard is absolutely stunning! I didn't expect the room to have floor-to-ceiling windows. The day I arrived, I lay in bed with the door open and felt like I was dozing off in my own courtyard. The old man and his wife also live there! Early in the morning, I could see him tending to the flowers. When I returned in the evening, they'd be enjoying the cool breeze by the doorway—a truly cozy experience. The handsome manager was incredibly attentive, and every time I contacted him online, he'd messaged me asking if I needed a pick-up and breakfast. The lady and man who delivered the service were also incredibly kind and friendly, without any impatience. It was a truly unexpected stay at a hotel, and I truly experienced the warmth, hospitality, and friendliness of Beijingers. The room was also very quiet, with no loud noises, and a reminder to keep quiet after 10 p.m. to avoid disturbing other guests. The flower pot I saw this morning turned out to be real! It's incredibly well-maintained and in full bloom! If I ever go to Universal again, I'll book this place again!

Tanzhe Temple, Miaofeng Mountain Scenic Spot
Beijing
|33.44km from city centerThe first time I stayed at Tangquan Courtyard, it was located on the mountain of Tanzong Temple. The decoration and design of the room have demonstrated the intentions of the owner of the homestay. The aunts are attentive and enthusiastic, and the execution is super. The meals are quite satisfactory and the ingredients are fresh. The breakfast content is very rich, I personally like Sichuan beef noodles very much, coffee ☕ is also very fragrant. Although the orange oysters in the yard are afraid of 🐶, they are very close. The warm and windless afternoon tea soup in winter is awesome.
I like the comprehensive evaluation. I like it very much. Spring flowers have a chance to come again ☀☀.

Houhai Area
Beijing
|5km from city centerThe room was small with very limited space for belongings, which was inconvenient for travelers with a lot of luggage or personal items. The shower's glass door didn't close properly, causing water to spray out during showers. The sink faucet was positioned too far forward, making it awkward to wash hands and face. Also, the toilet paper holder was poorly placed, causing the entire roll to easily fall to the floor. The floors had quite a bit of dust and hair. On the plus side, the location is near a city center subway station, making it very convenient for visiting popular attractions.

Huanghuacheng Lakeside Great Wall
Beijing

Qianmen, The Temple Of Heaven and Chongwenmen
Beijing
|1.43km from city centerBeijing is a place where every inch of land is precious. The room was just too small, tiny even, for two adults and one child – we could barely breathe. There was no dining area in the room, and what's even more frustrating is that they wouldn't let us eat in the huge cafe. We ordered takeout, but they wouldn't let us sit in the cafe to eat it; instead, they shooed us into a storage room. Are we criminals for wanting to eat? Absolutely speechless! I will never come back here! This hotel isn't for serving people, it's just for taking pictures. The check-in experience was terrible!!!

Alpine Skiing Centre/Horticultural Exposition Park

|80.41km from city centerI took my mom to the outskirts of Beijing for a weekend getaway. While searching for nearby hotels and guesthouses, I was drawn to this one by its homepage photos; it looked novel and unique. Although newly opened hotels and guesthouses have new facilities, I was worried about disappointment due to the limited reviews, so I booked this one on a whim. The navigation to the guesthouse was easy to find, and the guesthouse staff were already waiting to greet us at the door and even helped us with parking. The fireplace immediately caught my eye upon opening the door. The living room was tastefully decorated, quite unlike a typical guesthouse! It was much nicer than the photos!
Afternoon tea was already prepared on the table, and my mom especially loved the homemade fruit tea made by the guesthouse staff. The small decorative items throughout the public areas and guest rooms all had a great sense of design; they must have put a lot of thought into their selection. Most importantly, the bedding was incredibly comfortable!! If I didn't have to work the next day, I really wanted to stay another night. I also want to thank the guesthouse owner; I suddenly got my period that night and couldn't move around easily, and she immediately brought me a pack of sanitary napkins and a cup of hot water, solving my immediate problem. I was truly touched! We got up a little late the next day, and they specially reheated breakfast for us. The portions were quite large, and my mom, worried about wasting it, took some home. Unlike previous accommodation experiences, this one left a deep impression on us! The owners were warm and welcoming yet maintained appropriate boundaries, making us feel very relaxed.
After returning, I strongly recommended this place to several friends, and I'm thinking of going back with them next time! I hope more people will see this!
