The room was pretty good, quite spacious, and they decorated it in pink as we requested. The hotel service was also great. They reimbursed us for the taxi fare from the high-speed rail station to the hotel. The butler checked in with us daily to see how our stay was going. It's only a few hundred meters from Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas, so it's easily walkable. Plus, there are tons of restaurants right downstairs, making it super convenient for food and drinks. The tea ceremony on the rooftop terrace had a fantastic vibe. I was really looking forward to my Yangshuo trip, but it rained a bit during the rainy season, so I couldn't go out. I was quite frustrated, but at this hotel, whether it was snapping some atmospheric photos by the starlight pool, capturing relaxed moments by the forest hot springs, or catching the stunning play of light at sunset from the viewing deck, you don't even need to leave the hotel to get incredible photos!

While on a bamboo raft at Longtan Dock, I stumbled upon this hidden gem: Fada Hotel. It's in its own secluded area, very quiet, with a fantastic atmosphere that truly feels like a getaway. I immediately decided to switch hotels and check in here.
The overall ambiance after checking in was wonderful, and the service was impeccable. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and there was always a shuttle available for transfers.
The Ethan photography service was excellent. My wife was particularly pleased with the makeup, and the costumes were exquisite. The staff were highly professional, and we ended up happily choosing many photos with great results.

Can I say that I discovered a treasure shop when I drove to Guilin?
I drove from Yangshuo to Longsheng to see the Longji Terraces. I did some research online and finally chose the hot spring area. After I came here, I looked at every one. They were either shabby or had poor hardware facilities. Only this one was newly renovated, so I decided to stay here!
It is the off-season now, the price is 388. Since the room we booked is next to the hotel's kitchen, the thoughtful lady upgraded us to the family room on the fourth floor for free after registering at the front desk. It is so clean, and there is a smart toilet. The balcony is the viewing platform, a natural oxygen bar. The lady asked us when we wanted to take a bath, and immediately went to flush the pool, put water, and went to the kitchen to heat up the rice sausage for us. After putting the water in, she notified us again. It was so comfortable. This is definitely real hot spring water, because I was exhausted after soaking for more than ten minutes. At night, the hotel also thoughtfully prepared good night porridge, which was comfortable and I slept until dawn...
Before seven o'clock in the morning, the lady put the water in again. After the bath, I had breakfast in the restaurant. The rice noodles were so delicious. The soup was braised by the hotel itself, so fragrant. There were many varieties of preserved egg porridge, buns, dim sum, sweet potatoes 🍠 taro, and oil tea. While eating, I washed and dried my clothes on the fifth floor. When I checked out, the store also thoughtfully sent me souvenirs. It was an unforgettable trip to Longsheng Hot Spring. I was initially torn between several highly-rated accommodations but I'm so glad I ultimately chose the Waterfall Hotel. Guilin was packed during Chinese New Year; traffic near Elephant Trunk Hill would be gridlocked until 10 PM. However, staying at the Waterfall Hotel, I could pull back the curtains and see Elephant Trunk Hill and the Twin Pagodas, and even enjoyed the New Year fireworks! Going up to the 26th-floor Sky Garden to get a panoramic view of the city's mountains was another fantastic experience. If you do want to brave the crowds, you can reach Zhengyang Street, the Twin Pagodas, and Elephant Trunk Hill Park within 2-3 minutes of stepping out.

Although the room rate is high, already 14 'red notes' (colloquial for 1400 RMB) per night, the room is a bit small, which feels a little cramped. From the outside, the surrounding environment along the river is too crowded with people and cars, making it quite noisy. The loud speakers from Elephant Trunk Hill Park nearby are constantly blaring, so I really don't recommend choosing a so-called 'river view room'. OMG this is such beautiful place , we reach Guilin at 7am and straight head to the hotel , staff just arrive after we reach , but old man make us feel relaxed and comfortable with tea . When staff came they give us early checkin and also the upgraded room , best suite in the property . The people here so nice they prepare for us special 100% vegetarian breakfast . it was nice after travelling since 3 am , and than we head for the sightseeing . The staff was cordial and give us all details so we planned and could cover 3 places by ourself .

The facilities are impeccable: The room was spacious and bright, with stylish and tasteful decor. The biggest surprise was the super-sized bathtub; bath time became the most enjoyable part of my day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided both soft and firm pillows to cater to different sleeping preferences – attention to detail at its finest! The restaurant is on the 9th floor, with a stunning outdoor pool just outside. Enjoying breakfast while admiring the beautiful view was pure bliss.
Smart and convenient: The room was equipped with a smart 'Xiaodu' speaker, making voice control incredibly convenient. Food deliveries were brought directly to our door by an adorable robot, which was both efficient and fun. It was raining when we checked out, and the front desk staff proactively offered us disposable raincoats. This constant thoughtfulness made our whole family feel incredibly warm. Even our child was clamoring, ”I don't want to go to the next stop, I just want to keep staying here!”

There's a sky garden on the 14th floor with panoramic views of Guilin's stunning mountains and rivers. In the morning, the sunshine fills the entire courtyard, making it wonderfully warm and cozy. In the evening, you can catch the beautiful sunset glow, and the night view is absolutely breathtaking 🫨.
The breakfast on the 13th floor is also very extensive. You don't even have to leave the hotel to enjoy Guilin rice noodles, a daily essential for Guangxi locals. Make sure to grab a window seat – the first rays of morning sun hitting the table felt incredibly blissful.
The guest rooms are clean and bright, with complete facilities. They even have a laundry room, gym, and a kids' play area.
The attractions in Guilin city are quite concentrated. Elephant Trunk Hill, Binjiang Road, Jingjiang Prince City, East and West Alleys, Sun and Moon Pagodas – you can pretty much walk to them all. They’re about three to four kilometers from the hotel, so getting around is very convenient. Just grab a shared bike on the street for a nice city walk.

- It's a paradise for sports enthusiasts! The kids joined the teen club, while I went for runs and hit the gym in the resort. Everyone had a blast playing various sports together.

Our group of five booked three rooms and checked directly into Sunac Park Hyatt Guilin.
**Service:** The service on the first day was excellent. Someone was there to help with luggage upon arrival, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic and efficient with our check-in. The laundry service was also very timely. However, there were some hiccups on the second day. We requested room cleaning around 2-3 PM, but by 7 PM, after dinner, our room still hadn't been cleaned. Our washed clothes were supposed to be delivered by noon, but by 8 PM, there was no sign of them. We called the front desk, who suggested they might be hanging in the closet, but they weren't. We then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for them to finally arrive.
**Environment:** The environment of the resort is undoubtedly beautiful, nestled by mountains and a lake with pleasant scenery. The black swans in the lake are very friendly; they'll swim right up to you to beg for food, which is quite an amusing sight. The room's balcony is spacious, perfect for enjoying the view and relaxing. The beds and lighting in the rooms are quite comfortable, making for a very good living environment.
**Facilities:** Although the resort is far from the city center, it has all the necessary facilities, including restaurants, a convenience store, shuttle buses, and recreational activities. Within the resort, you can go boating, rent tandem bikes to cycle around the lake, and visit three theme parks. When we went, only the Ocean Park was open. There's a dolphin show at 2 PM, which is especially great for families with children. However, the food at the Chinese restaurant wasn't particularly good. What's worse, we found a foreign object in a taro dish. We didn't want to extort money, so we didn't mention it or claim compensation on the spot. You get what you pay for, and the price of each dish wasn't cheap. I'm mentioning it here hoping for some improvement. The mini hot pot at the Western restaurant's buffet dinner had very low heat, taking a long time to boil, and there were limited dipping sauces. I suggest adding some minced garlic and chopped chili to make the dipping sauces more flavorful. I also hope the food can be served faster. At 6 PM, when the restaurant opened, the mussels in a spicy seafood stir-fry were gone almost immediately. When we brought this up with the staff, they said the chef was eating and we'd have to wait. We eventually found another manager, and the dish was finally served at 7 PM, but the taste was far inferior to the first time. Our two dining experiences were quite disappointing, but there are also takeaway options that can be delivered.
**Hygiene:** Hygiene was one of the more disappointing aspects. There were clear issues with room cleaning. Firstly, there was a spiderweb in one corner of the washbasin. Secondly, oil stains left by the previous guest on the table hadn't been cleaned. We didn't notice it at first, but by the time we realized, our laptop had already gotten dirty with the oil. I hope more effort will be put into room hygiene in the future.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was quite good. Although there might be some drawbacks, I genuinely recommend spending a day or two here to enjoy the mountains and water, and to relax your mind. It's truly a wonderful experience.FromMYR 302

The misty Lijiang River mountain view outside the window looked like an ink wash painting. Lying back, scrolling on my phone, and enjoying the view instantly melted away all the travel fatigue.
