Firstly, it's too pricey and doesn't really offer good value. It feels very hot even after adjusting the temperature to the lowest setting (19 degrees Celsius being the lowest possible). The room is a bit old, and water flows out from the shower room while showering. The bathroom area is extremely dark. This package cost me around $6K HKD, and I can confidently say it doesn't compare well to other new 5-star hotels in Barcelona. The best thing about W is the bar/restaurant on the 26th floor. The staff is generally rude and impolite, possibly including some of the security staff. The reception staff assisting with check-in are also unfriendly, possibly due to a large number of guests waiting.

The check is was terrible. I had to wait for my room for more than 1 hour and it was already 4PM and the staff told me that if I didn’t want to wait he would give me not a nice room. Before check out a staff came to my room really rude saying that I exceeded the time by 40 minutes

I loved this hotel so much. The rooms were so peaceful and pretty. I really loved that they were very different than any other hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The beautiful cut out lamps which created a beautiful light throughout the room and the gobo type lights in the bathroom and hallway that did the same. The flower shaped windows were very original. I stayed for 6 days and it was a very comfortable space. Nice shower and bath products. Beds were a little hard but linens and sheets were nice. Front desk staff was very friendly. I’d suggest better takeaway items at the lobby coffee bar for breakfast and suggest it opens earlier. I would have also loved if the restaurant opened slightly earlier for dinner. If in the area again of the convention center, will definitely stay again. Gracias!!

We have stayed here on many occasions and will continue to do so in the future. On this particular visit, we changed hotels, mid stay from the Renaissance on Pau Claris to the this (Fira) location. Lots of renovation and street construction noise downtown, so coming out to the Renaissance Fira after all of that was wonderful. Consistently clean, quiet, great breakfast and appreciated upgrades. There is a mall across the street with several great restaurants upstairs. Getting downtown was easy with the subway next door. The airport was a 20 euro ride. We are returning in August and look forward to it!

Super lovely hotel. The staff is one of a kind, warm and helpful. Location is superb cuz its so close to one of my favorite areas in Barcelona, which is the El Born area. Its in front of the beautiful beach port so the view up on the terrace bar is awesome. Also, get some time to walk around the port area and park. The breakfast was so so to me. Quite pricey (32eu) for what the have. Rather you should go to Bobo or Hoffman nearby for some nice croissants. One down side is the cords and not right next to the bed stand. It was underneath which was quite inconvenient, compared to where a lot of hotels has the usb plugs right by the bed these days

Excellent facilities location and service at the Serras Hotel Barcelona. Outstanding roof top pool, bar and restaurant with fantastic views of the harbour. Especially enjoyed breakfast served by Sandra who took an interest in our itinerary. Wonderful experience gracias

Wow, this suite hotel is fabulous. On arrival had such a friendly and warm greeting. The junior suite is so wonderful. The decor is fantastic and so much space to sit on the sofa and relax. Then that amazing bathroom with such incredible tiles and beautiful shower, bath, sink and sliding door to the toilet. I just love a nice bathroom. I also forgot to bring an adaptor and was lent one by the incredibly helpful front desk. We just wish we had more than one evening to enjoy it here. We will be back and thanks to all the staff here- superb.

The Gran Derby Suites Hotel is a lovely place to stay in Barcelona. The room I had was well spacious, quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff could not have been more helpful, from arranging a transfer from the airport to recommended a casual tapas bar for dinner. I would definitely stay at the Gran Derby on my next visit to Barcelona.

Booked 1 night due to it’s proximity to our cruise ship, as it is literally about 50m to the South Terminal N quay. Detractors saying it was not 5 star anymore are rather over critical in my view. We stayed Sept. 25, and all I can say is that check in was easy, our request for a high floor was met. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and well appointed, with sofa and 2 comfortable chairs. All rooms appear to have a balcony. We arrived late so had no dinner, but the breakfast and service on the terrace was excellent. The array of buffet choice was as good as it gets. The roof terrace is sensational with views of the port, Barcelona over to the Gaudi's Sagradia Familia. It is true that this has dated a little, but it's still a very good hotel, and we would gladly stay here again without a cruise on our itinerary. It is just 10 mins walk to La Ramblas. A minor point, but in the bathroom the tiling on corners doesn't have the usual edging strip; it actually has recessed polished tile edges (see pic), which I have never seen before, so whoever set the spec and budget for it's build was not thrifty. Marble abounds. Staff readily gave smiles, and were helpful, so I take it as I find it One final point regarding room choice 1 night ok for internal atrium view room, any longer ask for an outside room. All views from the roof terrace.

I booked (and pre-paid) for 3 nights in a Superior Double/Twin Room with Sea View in which I selected a King Bed and based on the photos the room had a specific spacious layout I liked. The room was definitely not what was advertised and was the smaller version with 2 twin beds (which is priced differently). Upon calling them to switch rooms, they told me this won't be possible till the next day. It was a long day of travel and I decided to accept my fate - but the bathroom had plans of its own. The shower window was broken and water leaked all the way into the bedroom. I had to request several towels for the floors and to check the bathroom, but nobody did. The only thing keeping me there was the nice view out of the window of the room I certainly didn't choose. On the 2nd day, I was moved to a much larger room (the one I actually booked!) and the views were stunning. The bathroom was great with both a rainfall shower and tub, with no leaking issues. I also had a king bed! So far so good. Problem was I needed to ask a question about taxis and the reception did not answer after calling several times. There always seemed to be a lot of them frazzled but surely one can answer...? The third day, which was my last, something strange started happening to the TV. My TV seemed to connect with another room and they would be switching channels, playing their youtube videos and exiting whatever media I was playing. At some point, the user's name appeared on my screen and they started playing disturbing clips and one specifically relating to my country - which obviously freaked me out. I called reception about this and they did not seem like they knew how to help. I called again to check if they spoke to the user (which I gave them his name) but they did not do anything. This TV table tennis continued till 1 am. I booked this place to relax and enjoy my time in bed before my flight tomorrow, not to fight over the TV with my neighbor behind the wall - who I was certain knew where I was from and was playing games with me now. After all this drama, I just wanted some water. Room service said it would cost over 7 Euros. I was not accepting that and believed I should receive a complimentary small one considering all my troubles that night. I rang reception and there was no answer. So I went downstairs and spoke to the man at the front desk. I informed him about the water and also asked if anything was done about the TV situation. He immediately gave me attitude and then said that he picked up but I didn't answer and started to get defensive and aggressive with me, which was really rude and unnecessary. Considering I've paid to be here and on each day had some sort of bizarre experience, he should be polite and civil. Instead, he was quite short and even said that I should get a max of 2 bottles but begrudgingly went to get me more. Look - the hotel is really nice in itself. Very big. Decent rooms (go for the bigger ones with sea view!). And some staff memb

Checking in was good and we thought we were in for a great stay. After that it was sadly downhill all the way. Rooms ok but basic, and upgrading to a Suite is definitely not worth the extra money. Take earplugs as the noise from the roads, restaurants, bin emptying etc is constant. The bar was not opened for our whole stay, and the staff were very dismissive when we questioned why it was not available. One receptionist just shrugged his shoulders and looked back down to his paperwork. After check in they barely acknowledged us as we came and went. No air conditioning in the rooms so we had to leave windows wide open at night - cannot imagine what it would be like in summer. No tea and coffee making facility in the room. No outside space to use unless you go down the road to the sister hotel. Basically confined to your room, and you had to go out to find all your food and drink as there was no Room Service on offer either.

Montse, the hotel duty manager is just fantastic. Helpful, understanding and very cooperative. Although not the fault of the hotel, the first night was disturbed by a party outside, Montse kindly changed the room and made sure I was comfortable. Thank you

I've stayed with this hotel for a number of times now, I would think about 7 times also before covid. The company I work for has also sent quite a few others to this hotel over the years. After this last visit I can say that it will probably not be the case anymore. To be honest, I felt like I was annoying the staff at the reception, it was always with a quick, condescending way that I was given answers. Like I was getting on their nerves. I paid almost 1.100 Euro to stay 1 week. In that time, the phone was broke, my door would not shut properly without slamming it, the room STANK !!! of sewage (I was told because of the pool filter or something and I was directly next to the pool basically in room 721 - the cleaning lady spoke no english so that's the info I understood), the breakfast was not to great standards; never was there bacon, the boiled eggs cold. The coffee machine broke, so the waitress was so angry that she was slamming chairs and saying angry stuff in spanish loudly about how management never takes care of the machine; she dropped all kinds of glasses and plates in the kitchen; then the cook came out and looked at me and rolled his eyes and shrugged (how do people in service actually work like this???) . It was unrelaxing and not worth the price at all. The only helpful and sincere person I met there was the girl at the reception who always asked how my day was, and also the room cleaning lady (the elder one with glasses). I was not even offered ANYTHING in response to having to sleep in a stinking room with no phone. I thought maybe someone would say to me ”sorry about all the inconvenience, have a wine on us” but not even that!! Only the next day I was asked if I wanted to move (I declined only because I was traveling to Valencia for 3 days on that day and I was told that afterwards it would be fixed so I didn't want to move if it would be fixed. But when I came back, only the phone was fixed - the smell was still there and the door I still had to slam). Also, my credit card was charged for a night on the first day of my stay, even tho my company pre-paid the whole stay in advance and it was confirmed. I had to wait several days before it was booked back to my account. At the checkout I was not asked once how my stay was. I would have otherwise told the guy there directly. But maybe he knew I would say something and chose not to ask anything. He was the most condescending of them all anyway. He never freely said Hello or Good bye. Only interested in himself. Horrible person and not sure how he can work in service! When he reads this he will know who I am, for sure. I did not have a welcoming or pleasant stay there this time and next time I and my company will choose another hotel for this or any other stays. If you feel too secure and think you have enough guests, then think again. Covid isn't gone and one day you will be surprised how quickly guests can leave and go somewhere else. One should never feel too stable bu

We really enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel in Barcelona. It is an ideal location if you want to access Gothic/Rambla street and also the beaches and Olympic village. Both are easy walks either way. Staff is friendly and plenty of restaurants right next store. The hotel has a small outdoor pool area but the water is cold (seems to be a theme in Spain). I would recommend staying here again.

The location of this hotel is impeccable, but the room equipment is a bit old. When I checked in, I found that the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room could not be closed. The water leaking under the bathroom basin immediately notified the incident with the front desk. It took more than 5 hours to come to the person. After repairing, I barely repaired it. After two days, the bathroom leaked. When I left, there was no one at the front desk. I waited for about half an hour after the bell, and some people slowly came out from it. Feel the price of this hotel and this low quality service is really not right. In addition to the location is good, the other is very general. The price is not high.

Very nice hotel. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. It had a fridge, safe and plenty of sockets. Wide variety for breakfast. Meats, cheeses, breads/cakes, fruit, coffee and juice. Location was great. Bottom of Ramblas, 2 minutes from a metro station, 10 minutes to the beech one way, 10 minutes the other into city centre. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Barcelona again.

We had an amazing stay at the NH hotel during our city break in Barcelona. All the provided services are perfect qualities. Whatever you wish to print your boarding passes at the concierge desk or order the room service the staff is more than happy to assist you. The room was ready for us much earlier than the check in time. The hotel is perfectly located, right at the La Rambla Street and the skybar at the roof offers amazing landscape of the city with DJ taking care of the music. We highly recommend the hotel for everyone who is looking for an accommodation in Barcelona. At the end we would like to award Laura and Mike from the front desk and a bellboy Kevin who were giving us an extraordinary assist since we only crossed the door of the hotel.

The Majestic Hotel is in a great location. Lots of shopping and places to eat in the area. Our room was a junior suite. It was large, comfortable, very clean and extremely welcoming upon our return after a long day out enjoying the sites of Barcelona. The breakfast was wonderful having pretty much everything you could want for breakfast and more! When we come back to Barcelona in the future, we will definitely stay at the Majestic Hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and in a great location. I rarely complain about anything, however, the young lady who checked us in said, ”oh, and your breakfast is included!” This is not something I expected because normally I don't elect this unless it's automatic because I prefer the flexibility to have breakfast somewhere else. And usually larger hotel breakfasts are expensive. There were four of us in our party, and since it was ”included”” we went down every morning to take advantage of breakfast. When we checked out however we learned it was NOT included and we were charged $20 for each person per day. We explained the mistake to the front desk person, but he said he could not help us. Unfortunate. We won't return to this property.

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

A truly wonderful experience. Located very close to the Magic Fountain and Plaza de España, the hotel is a short walk to the bus and metro stations. From the airport it took just 30 minutes by bus for just €5.70. The rooms are a very good size and spotlessly clean. The spa is excellent and the gym has limited but good equipment. Excellent breakfast. The best part is the rooftop pool and bar on the 7th floor; though be careful, if you go up to the 7th floor you might never leave the hotel, and that would be a shame in this amazing city.

Had a very good experience here. Not a bad walk from Barcelona-Sants, and the lobby is very chill, comfortable, and a great place to cool down. They have fresh water and candy for anybody rolling in. The concierge all spoke English, which was a huge help to me, and though I arrived two hours early, they got me a room immediately (albeit at a 10 euro extra cost). The room was quite nice and I had no noise issues whatsoever; surprising given how busy the main road was, but luckily I was not overlooking it. I wish it didn't cost extra to get the 'fast' internet - and there was a hiccup with neither concierge knowing how to switch from the regular to the fast after already signing up for the regular - but that was a tiny speedbump in the experience as a whole. Would certainly go back, and would recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel location, cleanliness, everything is good and there are many amenities. I was satisfied with the first day, so I booked the same room type for the second day. The refrigerator in the room I stayed in on the first day didn't work, so the milk I put in for dinner was hot. I felt uncomfortable eating, so I told them the refrigerator wasn't working and they changed my room. However, the room on the 6th floor was inconvenient because the bed and bathroom had stairs, and there was no bathtub. Anyway, that's it. On the first day, I got the room key and went up, but the door didn't open. At the end of the 5th floor, I went to the reception again and it was raining so I couldn't use my card. They changed the door battery. So that's it. The next day, I got a room at the end of the 6th floor and the card key didn't work again. I went down again on a busy morning and opened the door with the master key and said they would fix it. When I went in in the evening after finishing my schedule, the card key didn't work again. I went down to the reception. They said they would fix it tomorrow, but I'm checking out tomorrow... I'm so angry.

The only negative is the breakfast we only ate once the cold options are good , however for 4 star hotel the hot was unbearable to eat the worst scrambled eggs I ever tasted I ask to get a fried egg and was told no. This is not the service of 4 stars they had 3 waiters all standing around just to make coffee the chef came out a couple time doing noting. It's such a pity. The breakfast staff are so unwilling to help. I must say the housekeeping is the best I ever seen and the reception staff amazing well done Nico... Will be back but not booking breakfast.

Hotel was an amazing location close to amenities and most of the iconic places in Barcelona. Clean and very helpful staff.
