My partner and I returned from our holiday yesterday, after staying at H10 Estepona Palace for 4 nights. The room was a good size with a balcony and was clean, just your standard double room so no complaints there. A few things let the place down a bit, the main one being the food. We only had bed and breakfast so can’t comment on lunch/dinner, but the breakfast buffet food was always cold. My partner had some scrambled eggs from a brand new tray that a chef put out and it was cold. Baked beans were always lukewarm at best, and although there was an omelette and fried egg station, there was only ever 1 chef available so always had to wait around for ages. The other thing was that the gym didn’t open until 10am. We wanted to make the most of the facilities and get a morning workout in, only to find that it was closed and is only open between 10am and 7pm. Finally there was no ironing facilities available either in the room or to get from reception. The only thing available was borrowing a steamer for a €10 refundable deposit, but it was pretty naff. For a 4 star hotel we were expecting to be able to borrow an iron and ironing board. As we visited late September, the temperature was around mid 20s which was lovely, however the outside pools were freezing cold to the point where it was almost unbearable. Would have liked the pool to be slightly heated! Overall we would say 3 stars, staff were friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet. Next time we would probably stay a bit closer to Marbella / Puerto Banus as there is more to do around the area.

Visited here for a five night break in early October with my parents (my dad is disabled and in a wheelchair which is why we chose this hotel as it was advertised as having good disabled facilities). Positive points - friendly staff - good disabled facilities though probably could have done with more handles in the disabled bedroom - rooms good and beds comfortable Negatives - it’s pretty far out from anything, you could walk to the marina nearby but not easily accessible with a wheelchair (the dropped kerbs are very poor) - breakfast buffet is cold and unappetising with most things swimming in grease (go for omelette which is a better choice and hot) - very limited car parking and no disabled parking (we found a patch of wasteland opposite the hotel that we parked on) - if you’re not all inclusive the only dinner option in the hotel is the buffet at 25 Euros a head (and based on the breakfast experience likely to be lukewarm). It really could do with another restaurant. - no kettles or tea making facilities in the room - the beach is awful and the sunbeds are shocking. I know it’s not the hotel’s fault as it’s a public beach but I’m sure there are things that could be done to make it nicer! - drink prices, G&T in the bar was 11 Euros! In summary, this is more like a 3-star hotel and we wouldn’t visit here again.
