An Exceptional Stay at the Taj Cape Town
We recently stayed at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Although our booking agency made an error with our initial room, the hotel staff handled the situation with incredible professionalism. The manager went above and beyond to make things right. From the second day onwards, we were upgraded to a beautiful luxury suite, our parking fees were waived, and we even received complimentary wine as a thoughtful gesture.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The service throughout our stay was truly outstanding. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Breakfast was another highlight, with an impressive selection and excellent quality. We also dined at the Mezzanine restaurant one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
The hotel’s location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to join walking tours and explore Cape Town’s vibrant surroundings.
All in all, our experience was beyond expectations. We left feeling well taken care of and would highly recommend the Taj Cape Town to anyone visiting the city.From€109

The room is very, very beautiful, and it is the most satisfactory accommodation this time. Table Mountain is right in front of the window, which is really beautiful. The sunrise, sunset, and night view are nothing to say. I want to live in a fairy tale.
The service is very good! ! I don't know why some people say that the review is not good! ! I am a girl traveling alone, and I dare not go to the city center by myself. The hotel lobby manager specially walked with me to the station and took pictures for me along the way. We became very good friends.
The whole hotel reveals the luxury of the old brand. From the entrance to the lobby to the port in the backyard, it is so beautiful. I think it is much better than the 1w one night next door, and the view of that house is blocked.
The buffet breakfast is also superb! ! There is an oyster buffet... It is perfect for an oyster head like me. I like to eat a barbecue, but the degree of roasting is different the next day, and the kitchen specially roasted some again for me.
There is a fine dinning downstairs. The chef/owner is a lady. There are many cultural interpretations in the dishes, which is very good. One dish was made to entertain Michelle Obama. I was surprised that feminism is also rising here.
I stayed here for many days and this is one of my favorite hotels in my life.From€486

The Westin, Cape Town, is an old hotel, but it continues to maintain its presence, quality, and some high standard in Cape Town. We stayed here for 8 days, during a friend's 60th birthday celebration event in Cape Town.
We occupied an executive room and were also given access to the executive club on the 19th floor. The room was very nice, with good linen, bed of high standard. That said, we had to lodge a complaint on the hurried nature of how our room was cleaned on our second day of stay. The bed was not made properly, the carpet floor wasn't clean, and the bathroom was half cleaned. It's not good for a 5-star hotel. After complaining, the housekeeper made amends, and the cleaning standard was raised to the highest standard for the duration of our stay.
We also ordered food from room service and half of what we ordered were not brought - they gave us something else, but after waiting for 45 mins for the original order to be brought to us we reluctabtly accepted the wrong order, ate the food and then lodged our complaints later.
The breakfast buffet was alright, but there weren't great selections of cold meats in the cold meat section. They really need to improve on this.
Lastly, the overall service delivery by some of the staff really need serious improvement. Some of the staff in the restaurant are way too loud when talking to each other, and some of them even give out bad unwelcoming and nonchalant attitude/vibe to their customers. It is like they feel that they're doing us, their clients, a favour by serving us. Not good enough for a hotel of this standard, abd some of those staff need to be retrained.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Westin and we will definitely come back there when next we visit Cape Town.From€331

I chose Pullman for my conference in Cape Town this time, and it made my stay incredibly hassle-free – perfect for business travelers!
The location truly deserves high praise. My conference venue was just an 8-minute walk away, so I didn't have to rush in the mornings. My daily commute was completely stress-free. It's right in the city center, and from my window, I had views of the city skyline and streets. At night, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a fantastic ambiance with expansive views of the city lights and street traffic below.
The hotel's internal restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere. The decor is modern and minimalist, with clearly defined sections for sofa booths and individual tables. The lighting is soft and pleasant, and the combination of carpets and greenery adds a touch of quality. It's suitable whether you're just having a coffee alone or a casual meal with others; it never felt noisy or crowded. The breakfast selection was especially rich, with a full spread of hot and cold dishes, fruits, and beverages. The highlight was the made-to-order omelet station, where you could customize your omelet with various fillings – fresh and incredibly tender. There was also a coffee bar where I ordered a layered latte with dense foam, which was perfect for an invigorating start to the morning.
The kitchen and food pick-up areas were well-organized, and the floors were clean. The staff were friendly and refilled items promptly, so I didn't have to wait in long lines during breakfast. The public areas are thoughtfully designed, with tasteful wall decorations and premium-looking hotel brand counters. The lounge areas have plenty of greenery, creating a relaxing and un压抑 atmosphere.
My room was on a high floor, and the soundproofing was excellent; with the windows closed, I could barely hear the traffic noise from the street below. The floor-to-ceiling windows provided great natural light. Overall, the facilities are well-maintained, and the hardware is up to par. All the amenities needed for a business trip are available, making it suitable for both short conference stays and longer visits. Its value for money and convenience are highly competitive among city-center hotels. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Cape Town for business!From€112

It's significantly larger than the Starlight Family Room we stayed in before, with bunk beds that the kids were really looking forward to, and a small tent perfect for younger children. As a girl travelling solo for the first time, I felt very safe staying and had a lot of fun. Even though it’s a hostel, the environment was comfortable and welcoming. One thing I really appreciated was the international power outlets, which was a huge plus for me.
The hostel also offers transportation services to certain attractions and activities, making it very convenient for travellers. The location is excellent — being right next to Chunxi Road meant I could easily explore the city, try local food, and enjoy the area on foot.
A special shoutout to the front desk staff, who were incredibly friendly and always happy to recommend places to visit. Their English was excellent as well, which made communication very easy.
I would highly recommend this hostel to international travellers. If I visit Chengdu again, I would definitely choose to stay here again! ❤️✨From€6

Environment: The hotel's location is fantastic, right at the Chunxi Road subway exit, which is incredibly convenient. There's also an airport shuttle. My whole family loves it.
Service: The front desk staff, both the handsome guys and beautiful ladies, provided excellent and very polite service. They were super efficient. We'll definitely be back, we've already stayed 5 times consecutively!

The room is clean and includes a hairdryer, fridge, water, shampoo, and soap. A kettle and iron are available on the floor. The linens are good, but the bed is a bit small for two people. Breakfast is ordinary, not luxurious, but you won't go hungry, and the coffee is good. The price is decent. We only stayed one night, and everything was perfectly fine. Advantages: It is close to the waterfront, the room is okay, and the space is large, with a separate living room.
Disadvantages: Although it is close to the waterfront, the front and back buildings perfectly block all the landscape, and the waterfront and the Table Mountain cannot be seen. The worst part is that the hot water in the room is not automatic. My partner and I turned around for a long time and found a button. The water wasted for a long time. One person finished washing the other without hot water ... The worse thing is, A 1,000zar deposit was charged. My partner and I forgot to take the deposit when checking out, and they did not remind me. Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked.
