Very good hotel, facilities, services, all are great. Highly recommended.

I had previously stayed at the ibis and decided to change to a hotel that was more downtown. The location is very good. The bed was good. Wi-Fi worked. Shower was nice. Desk staff was helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

It is comfortable and very good for a price. Had a funny accident, was given a key to the occupied room. Partially dressed man was there. :)) But then the room was changed. Safe did not work but was fixed, lamps did not work on night stands but I did not need it. Overlooking the construction site. The shower button could not switch, but when someone helped it was a great shower, water pressure. Location is not that beautiful but it had a good sauna, small swimming pool and a good small gym.

Good and clean hotel. While it's rated as 5-star, I would give it a high international 4-star rating. Staff are helpful and their English is very good. Location overlooks the main square of UB - this is a plus and minus. If there are a lot of activities/celebrations going on while you're in UB and you're facing the square, you'll hear ALL OF IT. If you're looking to go the main business area just north of the Shangri-la Mall, then it's about a casual 15-minute walk.

The standards of this hotel was not befitting of Novotel chain. There was no TV guide & electrical chargers were not set up properly & we had to shift the locations to charge my devices. Room was spacious & quiet expect for several tour groups designated on the same floor as ours which resulted unpeaceful nights. Service quality was acceptable but the management should seriously looked into quality & service standards of this hotel.

I loved this hotel because the staff were so universally friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was just lovely. I had two great meals there. Good value for money too. My one big complaint is the room was way too hot. It was 33°C. The air conditioning didn't work. The only advice I could be given was open the window. The 3 inches it opened. Nothing worked and it did make sleep difficult. Such a shame as it puts me off rebooking for October when I go again. There is an excellent ”Walking Street” opposite the hotel with restaurants and bars, so I'll be sad to change to a different hotel. Fix the room temperature, please!

What I liked: great staff, friendly, the guys speak excellent English, which is nonsense for Mongolia, one of the employees even speaks Russian. Good location. Since there are unreal traffic jams in UB, you need a hotel with parking. Everything is great with that too. There are shops nearby, a good Irish bar. Excellent Wi-Fi, water every day, the room is cozy, large, a good view from the window. The room has everything, including a minibar. What I didn't like: the air conditioning didn't work!!!! Well, that's a huge minus. And also the soundproofing is not as good as they write about it. You can hear your neighbors, there is also constant traffic outside the windows. Disgusting pillows, very uncomfortable to sleep, but the mattresses are excellent. The shower is not very well adjusted.

Nice, specious, very very comfortable

Old and quite basic. Staff hardly speaks English so almost no interactions with guests. Only 1 bottle of water given a day. Wifi is horrible! Keeps dropping every couple of minutes and had to reconnect every time. Location is good.

Great location and great service! We stayed at the Holiday Inn Ulaanbaatar recently and were very pleased. The hotel is located in the very center of the city, which was very convenient for visiting the sights. We were especially pleased with the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms - everything was perfect! I would also like to mention the English-speaking staff, who were always ready to help and answer any questions. Special thanks for the wonderful massage in the hotel spa - it was a real relaxation! The only negative is the breakfasts. Unfortunately, they did not live up to our expectations, were quite monotonous and, in our opinion, not worth the price. It was not even possible to order normal coffee, for example, latte or cappuccino. But despite this, the overall impression of the hotel is very good. Due to the great location, cleanliness and excellent staff, we will definitely consider the Holiday Inn Ulaanbaatar for our next trip to Ulaanbaatar. Recommended!
