Mongolian Steppe Map, Address, Transportation & Nearest Stations and Airport

I pre-booked hotel car for airport and drop off by email and confirmed the departure time with the hotel receptionist again when I arrived at the hotel. However they still missed my booking. They couldn’t arrange the hotel car at the end but arrange a taxi for me. The hotel facilities are ok, but the receptionist staff is not professional.

It is comfortable and very good for a price. Had a funny accident, was given a key to the occupied room. Partially dressed man was there. :)) But then the room was changed. Safe did not work but was fixed, lamps did not work on night stands but I did not need it. Overlooking the construction site. The shower button could not switch, but when someone helped it was a great shower, water pressure. Location is not that beautiful but it had a good sauna, small swimming pool and a good small gym.

Good and clean hotel. While it's rated as 5-star, I would give it a high international 4-star rating. Staff are helpful and their English is very good. Location overlooks the main square of UB - this is a plus and minus. If there are a lot of activities/celebrations going on while you're in UB and you're facing the square, you'll hear ALL OF IT. If you're looking to go the main business area just north of the Shangri-la Mall, then it's about a casual 15-minute walk.

To be fair no concierge! Even they will tell you that Im not going to talk to you. Lol! Expect some 3 star services and amenities while you paying for 5 star. Lobby have that smell. Maybe toilet or sewer leak. Otherwise, location is top.

The standards of this hotel was not befitting of Novotel chain. There was no TV guide & electrical chargers were not set up properly & we had to shift the locations to charge my devices. Room was spacious & quiet expect for several tour groups designated on the same floor as ours which resulted unpeaceful nights. Service quality was acceptable but the management should seriously looked into quality & service standards of this hotel.

The hotel staff were very kind and I was very satisfied. During my stay, there was an unexpected accident with the room I had originally planned to stay in, but the front desk staff handled the situation and even upgraded me to a different room. I am very grateful that they responded with a smile to my poor language skills. The view of the city from the room was also great. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to go to Ulaanbaatar again.

What I liked: great staff, friendly, the guys speak excellent English, which is nonsense for Mongolia, one of the employees even speaks Russian. Good location. Since there are unreal traffic jams in UB, you need a hotel with parking. Everything is great with that too. There are shops nearby, a good Irish bar. Excellent Wi-Fi, water every day, the room is cozy, large, a good view from the window. The room has everything, including a minibar. What I didn't like: the air conditioning didn't work!!!! Well, that's a huge minus. And also the soundproofing is not as good as they write about it. You can hear your neighbors, there is also constant traffic outside the windows. Disgusting pillows, very uncomfortable to sleep, but the mattresses are excellent. The shower is not very well adjusted.

The location of the hotel is by walking distance to attraction such as Chinggis Khan museum,Sukhbaatar square, Government Palace. Room is very spacious. Bathroom’s rainshower and headshower are excellent with strong water pressure. Highly recommended to stay at this hotel. Hotel staffs are polite and kind. Great view from the room overlooking a big local temple and houses on the hill.
