It should be noted that these rooms are bedsits and expensive for what they are, even by Boston's standard. The rooms are, as others have said, in several blocks of old, red brick, houses in the centrally located Back Bay neighbourhood. The area has plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance as well as a station for the 'T' transport system. My main complaint is that rooms on the website are not representative of the one we had. We did have a kitchenette with fridge, stove microwave, sink and some basic crockery and cutlery but no space for the sofa shown! Also a very small bathroom with shallow bath, shower over, toilet and sink, a double bed and dining table and two chairs. Nowhere to dry damp, towels and no replacing them either as there is no housekeeping service. Floor space is severely limited and any luggage has to be placed there, a trip hazard of you get up in the night! Some luggage racks would be helpful. If you are a larger person then the bathroom will be really cramped and you may not be able to close the door! The stairs up to the room were very narrow and angled to get suitcases up so some porter for check in and check out would be really helpful. Also, these are old buildings so soundproofing is non existent! Sounds from neighbours can be easily heard! Also, the reception staff are not very welcoming or informative although we were able to leave our luggage there after check out, before our late flight. On the plus side the faults that I pointed out to reception after our first night were rectified, as far as possible, immediately and efficiently by the friendly maintenance man. Would I stay there again? Doubtful. I'd spend more to be in a spacious, modern hotel room with the services to match. If, however, you don't mind a dated (but clean), cramped room and find the kitchen facilities helpful, then this is the place for you.

I am leaving Boston tomorrow (boo) and have stayed at The Inn @ St Botolph for five days so far and I can’t believe there is even one negative review for this place. The check in was was so easy as they just send you your codes a couple days before (it is truly the best of worlds between a hotel and Airbnb feel) you get there so we weren’t worried at all when our flight was delayed and we got in much later than expected, we had all the information we needed to get to our room. The room itself was spacious and clean and they didn’t miss one detail. The kitchenette provided everything you’d need to actually cook a meal, but we just stocked up on coffee, drinks, and snacks. The breakfast they serve complimentary daily is perfect! Oatmeal, bagels, teas, nespresso, fruit… The staff is absolutely amazing, they’ve been so helpful and friendly! From suggested restaurants, directions, and they even provide a washer/dryer to use which is so helpful on long stays. But the best part about this place is the location. We have been all over this city and most places we have walked to in 10-15 minutes, but the T is literally a block away for places a little further. Prudential Center is also just one block away so you have easy shopping and dining right around the corner. Sidenotes, the neighborhood is super safe to walk around. And if you get in late or just need something quick there is a 7-11 right across the street. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is an absolute must stay!

Although we booked a lower tier room, we ended up on the 10th floor with a view away from downtown. After recent renovations, the room was modern and clean. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower and good lighting. The hotel is located at one end of a luxury mall with expensive stores. This was helpful for being able to walk around without braving the cold wet weather outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Be aware that guests are charged a $25 amenities fee that becomes credit towards food and beverages at the hotel; this forces you to spend money for some overpriced food; however the food was good. Parking is also overpriced at $69 per night. You can park at the mall for about $50 paying by the hour. There are many good restaurants in the area and it is a reasonable walk to Boston Commons. It’s a good place to stay near the center of the city, but factor in the expensive extras when you are comparing hotels. We would stay there again.

Went with another couple and we had a fantastic time. This hotel was so close to so many amenities and great restaurants (all in walking distances). Love how you can have coffee/tea at the lounge before or after you go back to the room…loved the free water near the elevators. Most of the staff are super friendly. The rooms were pretty basic and met are needs. Now you would ask why I gave it a 3 star rating….well, this whole trip was paid by my daughters for their father’s birthday early September…3 weeks later we got charged again… my husband left 3 phone messages and an email to the manager at this hotel BUT never received a response….he was totally responsible for me giving this hotel a 3 star rating!!!

We’re loyal Marriott Bonvoy members and have stayed at all their branded hotel chains. Our stay here exceeded my expectations. Although the (newish) hotel is a little south of the city center, and not in the best area, we felt safe walking about during the day. The hotel is about a mile from the MFA and Gardiner museums. There’s a bus stop just outside the hotel too, which makes it easy to use public transport to navigate the city. The front desk and dining room staff were exceptionally nice, professional, and accommodating. One morning, I observed the kitchen staff going above and beyond to assist a guest who made a special request. The rooms were impeccably clean and well designed. We loved the big shower! My pet peeve is hotel rooms that don’t have well designed window treatments, so a ribbon of sunlight shines through the edge of the window covering and wakes you up in the morning. I was impressed that our room had special light blockers along the edge of the window frame so this wouldn’t happen. You can tell someone thought of the traveler’s needs when designing the room. All in all, this is a very nice hotel and one in which I will stay in the next time we travel to Boston.

We loved this place. Friendly and helpful staff. The Top Bar and restaurant were both incredible and had great drink options. The rooms are smaller (think Europe) but get over that quick and you are central in the Theater District! We absolutely loved the place! Super charming and clean!! I imagine this was once an apartment building or hostel but now they turned it chic and cool. We will definitely return!! Thanks Moxy.

Overall decent clean hotel and great location but we had some issues with service which is why we only gave 3 stars. Parking on website is misleading. It states they have valet for $50 and park yourself for $20. What they dont tell you is if you park yourself its only for 4 hours, totally misleading. We parked in municipal lot, no in/out privileges for $34 per night. When we talked to front desk about misleading parking they simply said that's the way it is Got there first night and asked for an extra pillow. Told they would bring it up. After waiting 2 hours called front desk and they answered by saying hello we dont have any extra pillows. I asked if they were going to tell me that and they told me they just realized it. Not good service. Housekeeping every other day only. They knocked on our door at 830 in the morning. We asked that they come bcak later. We came back to room at 6pm to find they never came back. Breakfast was ok, but it was free. Shout out to the staff who handled breakfsst, they worked hard to keep everyone fed and kept the place super clean. 24 hour coffee was good but also empty several times during our stay and simply removed and not replaced. No dish soap provided for kitchenette. We would likely stay here again for the rate knowing that service might not be perfect.

A great stay for three nights. I stayed here several years ago when the hotel was under another name/management, but would say that the new management really improved it. Hotel location is superb - close to shopping, restaurants, attractions, and bars. It's really at the center of the city. Hotel staff was most willing to help and courteous at all time. The library lounge provides a good place to chat and have some snacks. One can also order drinks from the bar to the lounge. Bed was comfortable and room very clean. Really no complaint and just excellent throughout. Be sure to get a room with a view of the park. The view is spectacular at sunset.

The location of this hostel is amazing! I stayed there for two nights in a six bed female dorm. The sheets were fresh and the hostel clean. Looking at some reviews here please keep something in mind: This is a hostel with a lot of people going in and out. Boston is an expensive city and you can’t find hotels in that location for less that $300-400 a night during busy seasons. So while this hostel might seem expensive at first, it is relatively cheap in comparison to hotels. Also consider the taxes. My bed was $69 but after tax, membership and all, I came close to a $100. Also, you’ll be sharing a room. There will be people coming in and out….what else would you expect? Earplugs and eyeshades go a long way. People come to Boston for different reasons, so they won’t be on the same schedule as you! However I thought everyone did great sticking to the quite times from 11-7. The mornings can get busy using the bathrooms, so plan accordingly. I thought it was a really cool place where you could work to many sights! I am glad I stayed there and saved myself from getting expensive hotels. Instead I used the saved money to explore the city’s sights, great coffees and delicious restaurants! Great stay!

The hotel itself it’s really nice, very clean and modern, I had a lovely large room, which was very comfortable and bright. I love the decor and the fact it’s only a few years old. Definitely no complaints on the accommodation and the hotel itself. The main issue I had is the fact there is NO food or beverage available at all. No breakfast, no dinner and nowhere to get a drink despite a beautiful bar area. I’ve never stayed in a hotel anywhere with no food or beverage offering… When travelling on business it’s important to be able to get a quick refuel before or after work. And, the area itself doesn’t have access to good access to food (there’s a Starbucks and a dunkin donuts on the block!) Lastly and perhaps a small thing, I arrived late and left early and on both occasions the guy on the front desk really needed to recognise he works in hospitality! I know it’s the graveyard shift but a warm welcome to hotel should be basics. All in all a comfy stay in a nice hotel but for the price (which is high) I’d like something to eat and a smile! 😃 🍔🏨

This location was excellent for experiencing many of the historic sites in Boston. A short walk to Boston Common, and many great dining options within walking distance. Overnight parking is a bit steep ($60/night). The valet and front desk staff were all pleasant to speak to, respectful and kind. The room itself has one of the heaviest doors I've ever had to use in a hotel. Really takes some muscle! Despite this, the door didn't block the hallway sound, especially since we were right across from the ice maker. The room was small but not unreasonable. The bed was comfortable, and there was a refrigerator, but it was awkwardly placed on the floor next to the desk. It stuck out from the space so was odd. There was no microwave, but a shared microwave near the ice maker. There was a desk and chair, as well as a couple of drawers. The closet was small, but had an ironing board and iron, as well as a luggage holder. The bathroom was small, and had a sliding door, which we did not like at all. All sound was heard, which is not pleasant. There also was no exhaust fan. The slider into the shower was very narrow to enter. The water pressure was good, but it was very easy to get water everywhere in this bathroom. There was a good amount of counter space for us to set our things, as well as an outlet for hair products. The TV was large and worked well for us. There is no included breakfast, but there is breakfast offered onsite for a fee. We had the Saturday breakfast buffet for $26/person. We had custom made omelets, as well as waffles and bagels. Lots of options, with serving staff to bring beverages and anything else you may need. A little steep in the cost, but a good breakfast. This was our first visit to Boston, and will probably be the last one we take driving on our own, so having the option to park and walk to places was welcome.

The good: • Location • Server in the breakfast bar was friendly and attentive • Front desk staff was polite and friendly; offered me an umbrella during the rain The bad: • Room Condition: o Toilet seat – there was a urine stain about the size of a dime on the seat, which I had to clean and sanitize upon arrival o Rug was filthy – when I walked barefoot, dust, lint and random particles stuck to my feet. I had to frequently rinse my feet in the shower to get all the grime off o Thin walls/ceilings – I could hear the guest in room 322 snoring like a bear each and every night. And on Weds night, the room above me (420?) sounded like a heard of elephants o Lights – I could not locate a switch to turn on the wall sconces adjacent the bed o Shampoo/Soap dispenser – the screw was unscrewed so the assembly kept falling apart when I used the shampoo & conditioner o Bar – closed; business travelers look forward to a drink at the end of the day and an opportunity to socialize w/ other guests • Front desk staff did not greet me as a Bonvoy Platinum member nor offer a choice of hotel credit or points. I will not recommend this AC Marriott to my colleagues until these issues were addressed.

Especially the lady at the front desk talked about my dear, which is so heart-warming... Also The two men were a little lacking, but the overall situation was still good. The buffet breakfast options were enough to fill you up. Compared to the room rate, the complimentary breakfast was so delicious! The key is the underground laundry room, which is Virgo’s favorite. I will stay there again if I have the opportunity. It’s so convenient to have a self-driving car, and the parking fee of 20 US dollars a day is also acceptable😍😍

This Indigo should have just been renovated last year, and Apple's own map shows Holiday Choice. I have stayed a lot at Intercontinental / Crown / Holiday / Smart Choice. This is my first time staying at Indigo. Some places around are under maintenance and a little messy, but there are many restaurants and supermarkets. Get a staple drink for breakfast, a small portion and a bad attitude. There is no garden around this hotel. Why is it called Garden? Because next to TD Garden, which is also the home field of basketball and ice hockey teams, concerts are also held, the price changes a lot, there are often no rooms when there are activities, and it is noisy after leaving at night. It is also next to the North Railway Station and the subway station, but to go to New York from South Station. There is a parking lot and valet parking at the entrance of the hotel. Unfortunately, when I checked in, it was 5 ° C outside, and I changed to the fourth room to heat up. When your room has a small air conditioner as shown in Figure 4, the large air conditioner is likely to be bad, and the small air conditioner may also be bad, much colder than the hallway. The front desk will let people repair it. (Fake decoration) If it is not repaired, it will help you to change. The attitude is good, but I suspect that they already know which rooms have bad air conditioning. The cleaning staff speaks Spanish, not English at all, and requires software translation. In short, you don't need to live here if you don't want to watch the game nearby.

We visited Boston to watch a musical and this hotel was one of the closest to the theater and it was not as exorbitant in pricing like others were. As you walk in you notice that the lobby is huge. They have a bar/restaurant and already two other restaurant at the facility. We checked in which was quick. The hotel was very clean and nice. We went to our room the 10th floor, it was a double which was fine but the bed was very small. It literally felt like I was on a twin bed. The room was plenty big enough and the bathroom was large and clean. One of the cooler things about this hotel is that they had a wall which was essentially a huge led screen which had various images of Boston. I was literally sitting at the lobby and watching the sites while sitting there-Way Cool!

We stayed at this hotel over the HOC weekend and from the minute we arrived until we left a few days later, the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful when we needed advice or extra roll-up bed etc. Rooms were clean and spacious with beautiful eclectic art work thru the hotel and rooms. Thank you for a great stay to Sean and all the great staff at Studio Allston

The hotel is strategically located and conveniently located near the bay. The surrounding environment is good. The hotel is a bit old and the facilities are relatively old but complete. It is clean and tidy. The executive lounge provides breakfast and happy hour drinks in the evening. There was a misunderstanding when checking in. The hotel sent a Chinese-speaking manager to actively communicate with us, and it was resolved with the timely intervention of Ctrip. Although there were problems, we still saw the full sincerity of the hotel and Ctrip.

My sister and I have now stayed at Hotel Commonwealth five times this year alone (and a 6th coming up in a few months!), and we have had some amazing times! This past visit, we had to navigate some tight scheduling on our part and S. from the front desk helped us out, not only by letting us check in early, but also getting us set with a beautifully spacious room. He was super approachable, friendly and knowledgeable about the goings-on of the hotel. Hotel Commonwealth has amazing amenities. We've stayed in both Fenway-facing and non-Fenway facing Queen rooms. The Malin and Goetz bathroom products are always refreshing and having chrome-cast available in the rooms is ingenious. Complimentary coffee on the second floor is a must (7a-10a), and the valets' efficiency makes for a perfect start and end to any trip! Whether you are going to Fenway or endeavoring on concert adventures at House of Blues, MGM Fenway, etc---this is the nearest and most luxurious place to stay!

Amazing experience all around! We chose The Verb for its proximity to Fenway, and to stay someplace unique. Every member of the hotel staff did their part to treat us out-of-towners like VIPs. I was nervous about parking, but we scored a valet spot onsite. We got the Rolling Stones room, and the memories written by the local journalist were fascinating to read. The record player was a little scratchy, but it was fun to listen to records in our room. The outdoor pool felt glorious on a 60 degree evening! Dinner at the onsite sushi place (Hojoko) was a solid choice. The front desk folks helped us figure out how best to spend a sunny Thursday, as well as how to navigate the T. Worth the money even for one night!

We stay at a lot of Marriotts, and weren't terrible impressed by this one. We spent the night before leaving on a cruise in the morning. We checked in early (which we appreciated) because we had an overnight flight. The room was fine, but the bathtub needs a professional grouting and to be resurfaced. It looks like it was done by someone who didn't know what they were doing, sloppy and peeling. Being near the airport, the late-night flights made for a noisy night. Construction work being done at night also contributed lots of truck-backing-up noise, plus close-by traffic. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant offered only the buffet option at $21 or Continental breakfast at $19, and the Platinum Elite status only offered a $10 credit. The buffet was at best a $10 value, so we ended up going back to the front desk and taking the points instead. It was an insult to be expected to pay an additional $11 for some scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes considering that the other choices were all carbs (waffles, pancakes, cereal, fruit, pastries, etc). If I'm going to have a $21 breakfast it would be at a real restaurant with omelets, quiches and other menu offerings.

The hotel is a little out of the way from downtown Boston, but the Andrew subway station is 10 minutes away. It is attached to a shopping area with restaurants, Nike Factory, Target, Macy's.... The rooms are very good and clean, and the hotel staff is very friendly. From the airport you can go with the Silver Line and 2 subway stops. They also have a paid shuttle to the airport. The beach 10 minutes walk. To be visiting all day is great

Because the location is too good and stayed for one night, the restaurant food is still difficult to eat, the burger skin and meat and bacon are fried black, the steak is also black and the beef is the same, other services and health are very good
