Hotel location is good, walking to Capitol Hill for ten minutes, Uber to the White House and Washington Monument are not expensive. The Botanical Garden and the Natural History Museum are also not far away. Hotel breakfast is not bad, typical American breakfast. Good health and good service. It is very expensive, and the room rate already includes the service charge. After the stay, you will be charged a facility tax of more than 20 knives per day. I hope that Ctrip will clearly inform the hotel of the additional charges after the trip, if it is a hotel practice. I feel that the temporary deduction is unreasonable.

Nice big hotel, but not the cleanest. Found several different hairs in the shower, bathroom and by the bed that weren’t mine and they were different colors. Bed was comfy and the gym was really good (new, huge and clean), because it’s a private gym for people who live in the luxury building across the street. Check-in staff were friendly :).

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Only stayed one night, there were seven people in one room, but it was really nice because there were two queen beds. Didn't really interact with the hotel staff too mucj, except to check in/out and get extra towels but the little that I did, there friendly and accommodating. There is a parking garage but they do charge you. Thankfully, because we were not staying long, we were able to find a spot on the street that was free. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This place was amazing for us. The biggest draw was the two bedroom suites (with two bathrooms), which are super hard to find and make it great for families with small kids. The pool and hot tub helped too, but what we didn't know was that they would try so hard to be a great family friendly destination. They had a Family Movie Night, such a hit with my kids with popcorn, candy, and soda. Also, they did a BBQ on the patio, which was also so nice. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly and always had a nice and pleasant word. They even gave the kids a toy from the treasure chest at our departure. They were so stoked. Also, its a great location for visiting DC, we did the Spy Museum, the American Indian Museum and the Botanical Garden, all within walking distance. We also drove to the zoo. Its an easy spot for cabs to pick you up. There aren't a TON of food options super close by but you can walk 15 minutes to the Wharf for great food and music options. It was just perfect for what we needed. Louise at the front desk helped us split our checks, and the gentleman who made all the activities happen was great as well. We appreciate you. And everyone was super helpful, from extending checkout to whatever we needed. Also the buffet had everything you could ask for, even a waffle machine with all the fixings, which was obviously also a big hit with the kids! We will definitely be back.

Having stayed at Homewood Suites in Navyyard for three nights I have nothing but appreciation for the staff, especially in this time. Marietta and her staff were always accommodating and sociable! Our room was immaculate and the homewood suites kitchenette setup always makes distant trips feel more like home. While the pool was not yet available we were able to enjoy the rooftop area ! Hanging out in the rooftop gave me something to look forward to when pandemic restrictions begin to ease up and the world is open again! I highly recommend this location based on its convenience, comfortability, and the staffs effort to put their guests health and safety first!

I've stayed here multiple times since 2021 and the customer service by the staff is always exceptional. Easy walking distance to the mall and the sites. I was there for business and virtual calls. If you need to do virtual work please get there early and make sure your wireless is up. If it's slow the front desk is amazing and helping out. My room was quiet, even with youth down the hall.

There are many rental apartments nearby, mainly for children to study abroad. The hotel is very close to the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C., and there is an open park by the river. The hotel provides free bottled water in the refrigerator at the front desk every day, and no one checks the card for breakfast. The room has an induction cooker and an apartment-style workbench, but no windows that can be opened. The streets are wide and clean, worthy of being the capital. White people can be seen walking leisurely with their dogs from time to time, unlike the narrow streets in Seattle where black homeless people can be seen on the street corners from time to time. The sense of security here has increased.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Yotel in Washington DC. At booking we had some hesitancy but we were so pleasantly surprised. The rooms were as described with very comfy beds. The lobby minimally furnished with no frills like gift shops or any luxury. However the staff is exceptional! Ms Dionne at Art and Soul is a wonderful presence and greets everyone with smile and pleasantries... she is wonderfully friendly and helpful. We will not soon forget her greetings or helpfulness.. Myla at the desk...saw we were distressed about the rain..in a minute she ran to a supply room and came back with umbrellas for us to use...we never asked...she just did it! And Dewan was so responsive on any and all requests. She was caring and concerned for us as hotel guests.. The bellman, maintainance and housekeeping staff went above and beyond as well! This DC vacation will stay our my memory...not because of the sights but because of Ms Dionne, Myla and Dewan and the staff at Yotel DC. Thank You! Phyllis & Vito

This youth hostel is very good. It is very close to the Capitol, the White House and other travel destinations. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk there. It is convenient to get in and out. The interior of the hostel is clean and tidy, and the hygienic conditions are good. If you want to go again in the future, you should still book here. Like 👍 Hygiene: good. Good environment. good service. Hygiene: good.

Nice hotel in a great location for a last minute trip to see the museum of the Bible. We are walkers so we enjoyed the fact that the monuments, Holocaust Museum and White House were all within a mile and a half from the Hotel. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and food was great (especially when this country girl didn’t think to make a reservation for dinner on Friday night!)

Pros: clean room and bedding, bathroom clean, large towels, walk in shower, easy check in, room size is large, ok location near sights and metro. Cons: room very dark (only 2 overhead spotlights, no overhead lights over bed area), poorly appointed room (tiny minifridge, no dresser (only closet with hangers), no microwave, 4 K-cups for a 3 night stay with 2 paper cups), poor soundproofing, temperature control in shower difficult. Handheld showerhead doesn't work. No free breakfast. Onsite restaurant for breakfast starts at $15. Weird creepy/haunted vibe throughout. Overall: meh. Probably better places in DC for the amount of money this place cost. The ridiculous ”facilities fee” for what, exactly? The tiny gym?

My wife and I just spent 6 wonderful days staying at the Hilton Garden Inn! The hotel is in a great location and is very clean and well appointed but I must say, the thing that puts it over the top is the exceptional service!! From our check in at the front desk with Tyler who took care of all of our needs and always had the time to chat and answer any questions to the servers we encountered it was fabulous. A special call out to the following people: Robert the bartender was simply the best! In addition to making great drinks, he was very personable, engaging, and became a friend during our visit. The restaurant servers were equally fantastic. Nitporn, Mooggii, and Amel, we’re phenomenal!!They went out of their way every day to greet us and took the time to take a sincere interest in us personally and how our trip was going. They were very efficient and always had a smile on their face no matter how hectic the restaurant became. They also became friends during our visit. We have traveled around the world and stayed at many hotels in our life but never received better service even very expensive 5 star establishments. This is now our hotel of choice in DC and will highly recommend it to all of our friends in Oregon!!

This review is not based on my latest visit, but, rather my experiences when I lived in DC for four years while attending Georgetown and later trips to visit friends and family. I won’t discuss surrounding areas such as historic Alexandria, Civil War battlefields and Washington’s home Mt Vernon. We were ridiculously lucky on our last trip which was in August as the weather was atypical DC… cool and low humidity. First suggestion, don’t travel to DC in peak summer months as it’s hot and humid, unless, of course, you love sweating your skin off. DC is a beautiful city and it has been dramatically gentrified over the years, areas that decades ago would have been dangerous to visit are now very safe. Of course you should take the Capitol Building tour, the White House tour, see the Archives, tour the FBI building, Library of Congress, Arlington Cemetery, Washington Cathedral, and visit the numerous museums, if you are into museums. For those of you who are willing to go the distance, check out the crypts at the National Cathedral, see the bizarre National Museum of Health and Medicine, yes, they have the bullet that killed Lincoln, stop by the Anderson House for a free tour, visit Hillwood Estate and Gardens, the former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post, and walk the grounds of the Congressional Cemetery. However, what many tourists do not do, and they should, is explore the neighborhoods and walk the streets of Georgetown, Adams-Morgan, DuPont Circle, Capitol Hill, Columbia Heights, and Kolorama to name a few. While touring the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, stop by the Eastern Market and pick up some fresh food. Take walking tours, you can’t take enough walking tours. Free Tours by Foot is excellent and offer a variety of tours. I highly recommend Historic Georgetown and the any of their Ghost Tours at night. Also, local historian, Ed Moser, offers an excellent tour of Lafayette Square. Plan to see and visit the National Monuments at night… they look spectacular. If it’s still possible to go to the top of the Washington Monument, once again, do it at night. And for those who love the trails… visit Rock Creek Park and Roosevelt Island. Also, don’t forget to explore the campus of Georgetown University… walk into Healey Hall and take a look at Riggs Library one of the few remaining cast iron libraries in the USA. Stop by Old North where George Washington once spoke. And since you are in the area, stop by and visit Dumbarton Oaks and Tudor Place, the family home of Martha Washington. Finally, don’t forget to take a boat ride on the C&O canal in Georgetown, the rides are available Wednesday to Sunday. One more thing… I’m not a foodie, but, stop by and pick up a cupcake at Baked and Wired on Jefferson Street in Georgetown not far from the canal… bon appetite!!

The location is excellent, in the dock area, it seems to be the local high-end living and entertainment area, the restaurants are relatively high-end. The night view is not bad. The hotel is very new, the door is small, the lobby needs to take the elevator to the second floor. The room is large, the health is good, and the view is good. The only downside is that the water in the faucet is not very clean at first, so it will be fine for a while.

This hotel was okay for the price, but let me quickly highlight this hotel. 1. Two nights with parking $718 2. Breakfast buffet in hotel$20 a person not a whole lot of choices. 3. Bar and Grill in restaurant average cost $15 per plate 4. The side of the Hotel with the single elevator, are the train tracks. Ask to stay away from the train tracks!! Train runs all night and blows its horn. 5. I asked the security guard at the hotel where a store was so that we can buy soft drinks and juice. He directed me to another hotel that has a quick to go market in their Lobby. Asking a local on my way to that hotel, the local directed us to a CVS about a 10-minute walk away. Upon returning to our hotel, we came in through the main lobby and saw a quick to go market off to the side of the front desk, and it was open 😡 5. This hotel is dog friendly although I never saw a dog relief area. So I suppose you have to take your dog before a walk on the street. And that area had plenty of dog walkers. 6. The parking garage is super small and tight. If you have a two-door Jeep, you'll find it just comfortable. Anything bigger, and you'll be upset. 7. The sink in our bathroom was stopped up, but I did not tell the hotel staff about it so that's my fault. 8. At check-in, the representative at the front desk did not offer any other information than what I asked for. So if I didn't know to ask... 9. It is a central location to the museums and the mall, so please once you park don't move your vehicle. Get good old-fashioned exercise and walk. 10. There are two food trucks right across the street from the hotel although I never saw anyone man them. There is a McDonald's at the corner and a mom and Shop Pizzeria next to the McDonald's. The pizzeria is probably the least expensive and most delicious of the food that we've had the entire weekend. It was good for what I needed; the room was large, the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I do believe next time I'll just take the Amtrak train for the day and save my $700!

We chose the Hilton because of its location at DuPont Circle and proximity to the metro. It was perfect. Very clean and excellent service. We had a corner room with large windows and a nice view. We weren’t able to check in early and still have our chosen room but we left our luggage with the bell captain, parked and went off to explore on foot for awhile, taking the advice from a helpful front desk clerk for a nice place for lunch close by. Everything was close by. It worked out perfectly. The price of the hotel was excellent too which offset the cost of parking ($56/day) in the garage below where the car stayed for the whole trip. It was very easy to park and get back inside. The restaurants looked lovely but we didn’t eat there. There were just too many local choices and we were out walking most of the day. The bell captain was helpful in getting us a cab one cold evening when my Uber app was be working well. He went outside in the cold until he was able to hail one for us (comparable in price to the Uber we would’ve taken) Lovely stay. Highly recommend.

The room is good, it feels that the service does not match the hardware of the hotel, it seems that their front desk is more enthusiastic to serve whites! The small refrigerator is still locked, it is speechless, and I have lived in many high-end hotels. This situation is unique... Overall, the experience is not so good, it needs to be improved, there is no coffee machine in the room, the front desk says that the lobby is always available. However, after the first day of drinking, there was no more 😓😓😓😓😓 friends lived next to Hyatt, which is a good price.

There was a lot of loud activity at intervals during the night When I finally got to sleep … EARLY AM some child called my room 3 times the last time she said that I was making too much noise tgenight before when asked for her Mother or an adult she hang up. Later that evening I found out I needed to stay another night. OMG !! Loud noise all night long KIDS sounded like they were running the olympics called the desk they said they would send security. The still kept up the nose and running. Finally got to sleep 7-730 I thought they were doing construction. Unbelievable. The Hotel has three sections I hope the next stay won’t be in two or three

Our flight was cancelled and booking an extra night stay was very easy and the staff was so accommodating. The rooms were great too. There is no view, but the layout of the rooms are pretty great and quiet. The ”06” rooms are the best in the hotel and I would request this room on any floor. Stayed in Washington for two nights and stayed at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus from Union Station to the hotel, but it is a long time to go to the hotel from the station, so we didn't sit back to the hotel's shuttle bus. However, it is still possible to sit out from the hotel. The tip is given depending on the situation. We have given it a few times, but it has not been given. If you go to the hotel to take the red line subway, get off at the noma station and use the Google map to navigate back. There are not many people passing by. Speaking of hotel facilities, it is still very good. There is 24h coffee on the first floor and there will be cookies or fruit. The breakfast variety is also good. The bed linen in the room is very good, and the shower gel is exposed to the body. There is a dryer on the third floor of the opposite home suit, which can also be accessed with the inn room card. There is a microwave in the room, of course, the coffee machine is also a must. Apart from the location is not convenient, the rest are very good.

This hotel is a bit further from city center and it is at least a 20-minute walk to the Foggy Bottom metro stop. Something to consider if you need to get around DC via metro. Nonetheless, the area has various food options nearby. The hotel is small and dated. From the rooms to furniture around the hotel, you can tell it hasn't been updated in years. I arrived and the front desk woman was on the phone and went into the back room to talk. I stood waiting at an empty desk for some time. Eventually she came out to check me in. They seemed short staffed as she was checking me in, answering calls, baking cookies, making popcorn, etc. They had a water jug with lemons in the lobby that was almost empty, and I asked if there was more water. She told me she gave me a water bottle when I checked in. True, but I was wondering about the lemon water. Probably helpful if they had one more person at the desk. Anyway, if you get lucky enough to be there when someone is baking be sure to grab the hot chocolate chip cookies. I got upgraded to a huge 2-bedroom apt style room with a full kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for an extended stay. The rooms are cleaned every other day unless you make a request. Wifi is a bit slow. Bathroom has big bottles of shower gel, shampoo, & conditioner attached to the wall for your use. The vanity area had small bars of soap and even mini bottles of lotion (rare to find these days) and a makeup remover wipe. Breakfast was decent with Chobani plain greek yogurt, fresh oatmeal with various toppings to add, waffle bar, hot foods, milk cartons for kids, and coffee. Overall, an okay stay. Just felt far from the city and old hotel feeling.

You can appreciate the surroundings and the architecture of the buildings and the state of conservation. My super spacious King bed room with a kitchenette and everything clean. Good breakfast. Good location near the places of interest to visit. If you like a quiet place to rest, this is the perfect place. It will be my favorite in the state.

This was definitely a great stay. The establishment is modern, clean with very helpful staff. It is located in the heart of things. Museums, and great places to eat are close by if you want to get out and about. If not, the food is excellent in-house.

I've stayed in 6 different hotels in D.C. in the past year. This is one to which I'll definitely return. The location works well when I'm visiting my daughter at college. And, as I like to walk, it's an easy walk to a good Whole Foods and the Foggy Bottom metro station. Its also a fairly long--but pleasant--walk to the White House, Lincoln Memorial, etc. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are extremely well thought out. The shower was huge with a textured floor that prevented slipping. Our room on the front of the hotel was quiet enough for us to sleep well. We liked the front desk staff. The housekeeping staff did a great job! The only thing that gave us pause was that you have to go up a small flight of stairs to reach the elevator and there's no bellman. However, the front desk staff immediately offered to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs, so we were fine. We liked the neighborhood, and there's an excellent bakery/coffee shop (Tatte) nearby. This hotel is definitely a keeper.

There is no breakfast, but there are quite a few meals downstairs and around. There are two bedrooms, a living room and a sofa bed, which should be able to live with a family. I didn't know the parking situation without driving. A few steps away is the White House, and the surrounding environment is very good. Would highly recommend to friends who want to go to Washington to play.

So, I booked this hotel when it was the Mandarin Oriental, and before I stayed it was taken over by Salamander. Honestly, other than a few slapdash items that said Salamander, you wouldn't have really known based on the ”stuff” around that this was anything other than a MO. That said, check in took 20 minutes, which is way too long for an average Monday evening. The room was fine, though no real ammenities in there (sure there was a robe and some unstamped slippers, but eh), the gym was fine, but no water anywhere on the floor nor any attendant to point out where to put used towels (no basket in the gym or outside area). The TV in my room also said ”This room has been checked out” from the minute I arrived until I left. I was able to change to normal channels, but that lack of detail that shouldn't exist at this price range. One other oddity - when I was going to my room (9th floor), there was a random chair in an otherwise empty hallway that had a different large man sitting in it each time I passed. Not sure if something was going on in one of the rooms or if they were some sort of private security, but it felt weird, to be totally honest. This is a great hotel location (near the Wharf) and it is unquestionably a really really nice hotel, but there are certainly some growing pains. I'd expect once they fix those, it'll be a really nice place to stay.

I had a comfortable two day stay, location is divine in Georgetown and easy to get to anywhere in the city in a few minutes by car. Food is excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner, staff friendly, and I was unexpectedly upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite with a large bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. A few things to note if you’re a Rosewood regular like me, this hotel is quite small without much in the way of common areas (no proper lobby, a small room with a fireplace and a covered rooftop bar/lounge) but luckily with the upgrade I received I just hung out in my room when I had some down time. I’ll also note that given the hotel is a bit older, the room technology is a bit clunky, not enough outlets and some of the plugs don’t work, no USB ports etc like at other properties, the soundproofing isn’t great, and one of the elevators squeaks as it goes up and down so if you have a room next to it as I did, you will hear it (luckily I travel with ear plugs to sleep so it didn’t disturb me at night). Despite this, I’d gladly return for the location, food and service, this has a decidedly non-corporate feel which is a bit rare for DC and quite refreshing.
