|3.3km from city centerLovely clean quiet room, all staff ok, housekeeping were very helpful. The location is excellent for visiting Ironbridge and the onsite parking is great. Only problem was there was only 1 coffee/ hot water , machine , which is right next to the toaster, and cereal's , it made that small area very busy and cramped even though the restaurant wasn't full. . But the food was hot and tasty. Second day we went earlier and didn't have to wait as long. We would definitely stay there again .

|1.27km from city centerWe attended a conference and was due to eat in one of the restaurants with other delegates for an evening meal. However, due to my partners medical condition we asked if we could possibly take our meal in the bar. I think I spoke to the deputy manager and if he isn't the deputy manager he ought to be and he needs to be promoted to manager which he may already be! His name was Richard (Bowen?) and he was so helpful. He served our meal promptly and politely never making us feel we were giving him extra work. A big thank you and well done to him for such good service.

|2.96km from city centerWe stayed this weekend on a special deal from My Hotel Break. Lovely surroundings and easy to find. We had a horrendous journey from Kent to get there and we're quite tired on arrival. We didn't want dinner and decided that we would have sandwiches when we had settled in. No room service and on enquiring about sandwiches we were informed that this stopped at 6pm. There is no information booklet in the rooms to make visitors aware of this. Room was nice, pleasant to have balcony to sit on. Bathroom housekeeping left a lit to be desired as black mould on ceiling, walls and behind taps, towel rail would benefit from a clean as would the back of the bathroom door. Paintwork in corridors would welcome a clean too, as would the arms of fabric chairs in bar. We had problems with intermittent television signal in our room which, being the weekend wasn't addressed, but we were asked if we would like to move rooms to one with a better signal. However, having said all this, would we stay again? Yes we would, lovely setting, staff are very helpful. As a side note it would be nice to have more than one option for vegetarians on the menu.

|5.68km from city centerChecked in in time for Sunday lunch as there is no restaurant or bar service on Sunday evening. The room was very well designed and appointed. It was spotlessly clean with an excellent bathroom with shower. There was plenty of tea, coffee, water etc supplied so the staff did not need to come into the room to replenish due to Covid regulations. More was available on request. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space and a table and two chairs. Breakfast was served from 7.00am. We had the small cooked breakfast which was excellent, served by a very friendly chef. How you would manage the large breakfast I really don't know, as the small was very generous. Fried and scrambled eggs were perfect each morning. We booked our table in the restaurant for each day of our visit in advance. We were pleased we did as it was very busy on Sunday. We had roast beef which was lovely, very tender and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Another night we had the steak and ale pie. The filling was delicious but it came with an enormous puff pastry lid which made it difficult to eat. It would be better served as a steak and ale casserole and do without the pastry lid or make it into an amazing pie ! The following evening we had gammon and the piri piri chicken both of which were very tasty. The portions were extremely generous and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. The bar offered a good range of beers, gins etc and there was a reasonably priced wine list. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and could not have done more for us. There was plenty of parking space and a lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy on a nice day. We would thoroughly recommend The Queens , the rooms and meals are excellent value for money. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

|1.65km from city centerThe hotel staff were very friendly, but the quality of the room was dated. There was hair in my plug hole and the towels were dirty but only noticed once I had come out of the shower so had to use a hand towel instead! Only stayed one night as was at a conference but stayed here before and this was my second experience of being less than impressed. The corridor also smelt of smoke which was not very nice. Bed was ok, not the best nights sleep… I think next time I will stay somewhere else

|2.91km from city centerTravelled to Telford for a catch up with an old friend this hotel seemed like a good central location and it was. There are lots of restaurants under neath the hotel and the town square with the fountain is very scenic and nice. The room was perfectly fine and very clean. The Bed was very comfy. I was most wowed by the staffs service Cj was very pleasant. I ate in the restaurant with my friend in the evening unfortunately there was only one vegan option the Tomato Linguine which I didn’t fancy so I just had chips. I would stay again I had a nice stay the breakfast was fine vegan sausages too. the two girls working very hard one of them was pregnant were very lovely

|2.79km from city centerGreat location just off the M54, easy to find and excellent free parking for guests. The hotel is modern and pleasant and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with a king size bed, large tv, coffee machine and mini fridge, plenty of phone charging sockets and something I miss in a lot in hotels these days; a small dressing table area. The bathroom was spacious with a large walk in shower. We only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. The breakfast area was large and spacious with a great selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cheese and cold meets along with a wonderful selection for a cooked breakfast. I'm just sorry that we didn't have time to use the spa facilities which looked excellent. I can't recommend the hotel enough!

|0.7km from city centerWe stayed here just one night and wow the room was beautiful. Original exposed beams galore. Beautiful water view from the window it was just stunning. Staff were friendly and welcoming & lovely selection of drinks at the bar with live entertainment (it was Saturday) but finished at 11pm so didn’t disrupt anyone wanting to have an early night. The car park is very very small and we had to park in the museum car park and pay but it isn’t that expensive.

Great Dawley
|1.57km from city centerHaving read some recent negative reviews I was not expecting much but from my scores it was first class. Good easy to get to place and just a short walk to the main town, we arrived early but were able to check in - very friendly reception staff and gave us all the information we needed. All areas from reception to bar and corridors were well presented and clean and modern look, the room on ground floor was a good size with all facilities required [ nice touch Steph the house keeper left a lovely note ] We had a window which opened and nice green space looking towards a park. very quiet room. Leisure facilities were first class and not over busy (you did have to book the pool but not an issue}. Service at the bar was quick and staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with good selection of hot and cold food. One stand out point was the hotel was well staffed which helped make for a first class experience.

|1.64km from city centerWe stayed on a spur of the moment decision having spent the previous night just outside Bridgnorth . The lovely lady at reception ( Donna ) was polite , funny , very helpful and informative . We asked for a double room , but were only able to book a family room , the additional cost was not worth worrying about and gave us more space in the room . Our room was clean with everything easy to see or find . When i enquired about eating out , I was guided into Shifnal , less than five minutes away by car and found exactly what we wanted ( Tapas bar ) . Even though the hotel was quite full , it was very peaceful & we could hear no traffic noise or any noise from the car park area . Everything was clean & tidy , staff a credit to the company and we will gladly book & stay again . A peaceful place to rest our weary bodies after a hard days enjoying ourselves Thank you Donna :)
