|0.36km from The Atrium (Nec)Our go to hotel when in Birmingham. Rooms come with a smart tv. It’s not in the city centre but only a 10 min drive away or maybe a 20 min walk. However it tends to be a lot cheaper then centre hotels and is very modern.

|1.2km from The Atrium (Nec)Very disappointed when we arrived at 14.30 on Friday to be told it would cost us £10 if we wanted to checkin before 15.00. Even though I had joined the Ibis membership scheme ALL.com on Tuesday and my mate who was sharing the twin room has been a member for over 3 years. The reception was a real “job’s worth” and said as the booking was in my name this didn’t count and insisted on trying to charge us £10 to boo in 30 minutes early. Even though when I signed up to the scheme in Bristol on Tuesday we were allowed to book in at 1 o’clock 🤷🏽♂️ Other than that, it was OK, not great

|1.21km from The Atrium (Nec)Fabulous apartment, really spacious, clean and tidy with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay.
Reception staff were very polite friendly and helpful, would be nice if the reception hours were longer though.
Location was perfect for easy access to all the attractions of Birmingham City center, although the area itself doesn't look the nicest it was safe and secure and closer to my both the train and bus station.
Would highly recommend this accommodation and Birmingham in general as a lovely place to visit

|1.31km from The Atrium (Nec)Good location but there is a nightclub nearby. It was too noisy when we opened the window. The cooler air cond) was out of order. Hotel staff Romila was very helpful. She arranged another room with cooler working properly. Therefore, we can close all the window to reduce the noise and can have better sleep.

|1.91km from The Atrium (Nec)This was the second times I stayed in this hotel and found the staff very welcoming and friendly, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. The location is excellent—convenient for exploring the area and close to local attractions. The only downside was the noise at night, likely from nearby bars, which might be a consideration for light sleepers. Overall, a good spot for a short stay if you’re looking for comfort and accessibility.

|1.46km from The Atrium (Nec)The hotel's location is great for museums and libraries, but getting there from the train station with luggage can be tough. It's quite a walk, the roads aren't easy to navigate, and it's mostly uphill, which is tiring. We ended up taking a taxi when we departed. The facilities and Wi-Fi at the Holiday Inn were quite good, and children received plenty of gifts upon check-in. However, the hotel's breakfast simply doesn't compare to what you'd find in hotels in other countries. I suppose that's just British cuisine for you.

|0.73km from The Atrium (Nec)The Staybridge Suites are a little jewel in Birmingham. From check-in to check-out, staff were really friendly and professional.
The choice at the buffet breakfast was substantial and options for all tastes.
Really comfy mattress and spotless bed linen.
There was a problem with the fan in my room on the first night, and when I reported it to reception the next day, to resolve the issue, I was offered a different room for my second night. Instead, I just kept the card out of the light switch when I was ready to go to sleep. As I only had one more night I did not take up the offer of the change of room but I really appreciated that they would have done this for me which shows that they really want to make customers happy.
Having a fridge and kitchen items was really good.
The only downside was that the shower did not drain away quickly, so if you keep an eye on this when you are in the shower, you could end up with water all over the bathroom floor.
Otherwise, I would definitely stay there again.

|0.91km from The Atrium (Nec)Unfortunately other than its location this hotel has nothing good going for it.
There was a queue when I got there, strange for that time - 20:30ish. The lift was dark and depressing, the room even more so.
There was an awful smell like vomit lingering in the room. The floor looked unclean. The bathroom floor was the same and the corners were filthy. I didn’t feel clean being in the room.
The tv was good as it was a smart tv so I watched what I wanted.
The walls are paper thin and I could hear every noise and things being plugged into the sockets on the wall. The doors banged shut and this was annoying all night.
The wallpaper was very old and was covered in layers of paint.
There is no air con, the heating was on when I entered
The bed was the worst thing I have ever slept on. The springs were poking me all night long, I barely slept.
There was no hairdryer either so I didn’t use the shower.
If your on a super tight budget sta here but I’m sure you can find airbnb cheaper than this.

|1km from The Atrium (Nec)The room is spacious especially if you have luggage to open. Clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast is good. Location wise, walkable to Birmingham New Street train station given you don’t have big heavy luggage. Although I can hear the people outside but it’s not really bad. You can ask for some essentials if you forgot yours, available at the reception. The staff were nice and accommodating.

|1.36km from The Atrium (Nec)Great old historic building to stay in around 10/15 minute walk from Birmingham New Street train station & Bullring shopping centre. Nice bar downstairs with large beer garden & food available. Tall people will have to be careful of the low beams. Shared bathrooms were clean & looked to be kept tidy.

|1.62km from The Atrium (Nec)I stayed in a top floor deluxe suit and absolutely loved my stay at the AC Hotel in Birmingham. The room was beautifully designed—stylish, modern, and super comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating from start to finish. The drinks were surprisingly great value, and the location overlooking the water made for a stunning view. I’ll definitely be back! My photo doesn't do it near enough justice

Birmingham
|1.58km from The Atrium (Nec)Hyatt Rengency Hotel Birmingham is a very nice and cozy hotel with great facilities. It offers halal food, and prayer mats are available upon request, which I really appreciated. The leisure facilities are lovely, with a heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and spa.
However, my stay was let down by the fact that the room did not have a smart TV as mentioned on the website, which caused a lot of wasted time considering that I planned to stay in most of the times. The hotel eventually upgraded us (to a similar room just a few floors higher) after several contact made to reception and a long wait, but I’m grateful to Kenza for her assistance. On checkout, Nandini was very kind and offered support for my next visit as a gesture for the inconvenience.
There's also an issue with parking, which operates on a first come first serve basis. So if you park your car on day 1 and say you're staying for 3 days, you have to pay for the parking for 3 days ahead which is £27 for 24hr. During these days if you happen to take your car out and come back with no free parking space, you lose your money. Your slot is not reserved. It would be better if they charge us for parking when we are leaving the car park rather than making us pay in advance.
Overall, a comfortable hotel with excellent amenities, but clearer information on room facilities would have made the stay much smoother. I would have come better prepared.

|1.43km from The Atrium (Nec)We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre and were really impressed from start to finish ⭐. The location could not be more convenient 📍. It is right in the heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from New Street Station, the Bullring shopping centre, The Mailbox, and plenty of restaurants and bars. It made getting around Birmingham incredibly easy and meant we could make the most of our time without worrying about transport 🚆🛍️.
Our room was spotlessly clean 🧼 and well maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable 🛏️, the décor was modern, and the facilities in the room, including tea and coffee ☕, a safe, and toiletries, were all of good quality. We also appreciated the little touches that made the room feel welcoming and practical for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel amenities were excellent. We made use of the bar and lounge area 🍹, which had a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Breakfast was a real highlight 🍳🥐, fresh, plentiful, and delicious, with a wide variety of hot and cold options to suit all tastes. Everything was well stocked even during busy times, and staff were attentive without being intrusive 😊.
Overall, our stay was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The combination of an ideal location, clean and well equipped rooms, good amenities, and an outstanding breakfast makes this hotel a great choice for a visit to Birmingham 🌆. We would be very happy to stay here again and can confidently recommend it to anyone visiting the city 👍

|2.36km from The Atrium (Nec)It's not the best hotel on the street. It's very expensive, and breakfast £18 each and we did return throughout our stay. The food was very poor. Weatherspoon was a lot cheaper and nicer. Communal lights on my corridor did not function as it should. I booked a deluxe room, which is basic. No shaver plug in inside the bathroom. TV isn't smart. The bathroom was very clean. These days, they struggle to charge the costs to my room. Communal shared areas are great but rooms very basic.
