The place is quite lovely, and the staff is polite mand always ready to assist the guests. It is super clean and tidy, and the food is amazing. However, there are things that I cannot overlook. The Internet is one of them, we did not have an internet connection at this hotel. The wifi signal is horrible. There are too many ants. We had a room on the fourth floor, and they managed to climb up there. If you leave some food on the table or a desk, there should be an ant party within 30 minutes. The place is kinda old, it doesn't feel like a four-star place. Some things are outdated. The restaurant is pretty expensive compared to the other restaurants close by (mango sticky rice is 200 compared to an average 100 outside)and the beach bar was closed due the renovation. We had fun here and we will be back. I highly recommend this place for families. This is not a critique but a guideline on how to improve. Cheers!From$68

Amazing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful territory!
My son and I stayed here for 6 days and everything was wonderful — spacious clean rooms, delicious coffee in the room every day, and a huge luxurious pool (there are two more on the property, but this one was more than enough for us). The breakfasts were very tasty and diverse!
I especially want to thank your staff members Sa and Hand — without them, our vacation would have been much less fun! They are absolute superheroes: every day they organized different activities and played with my son Sasha, even when it wasn’t part of their responsibilities. We had beach football, Thai boxing, an art workshop, and more. Sa and Hand, thank you for your kindness and positivity — I wish you all the best!
It was also such a lovely surprise to receive birthday wishes from the whole team, even though I wasn’t expecting it.
The beach and sunsets are stunning — honestly, there’s no such thing as a “low season” here. Thailand is beautiful at any time of year! I came prepared for constant rain and no sun, thinking I’d just enjoy some solitude without the crowds — but in reality, we had sunshine and great weather every single day.

Pros: excellent staff that tries their best to welcome and make you feel at best during your stay. Great aircon, bathtub (water pressure), pillows n firm bed. Wide array of breakfast selections - from continental, indian, thai, chinese, sandwich station, noodle bar, fresh juice bar, etc. Great beachfront views with pool menu that doesnt cost an arm or a leg. Cool marshmallow ritual every evening too. Yummy welcome chocolate (not the cheap kind). Would definitely come back n recommend to friends n fam.
Cons: sausages line for breakfast couldve use a more premium ones...egg station should be expanded with more staff since it is the busiest of all in the morning..water pressure (shower) couldve been stronger like the bath tub, cleaning hours could be better managed and attentive (they forgot to refill the soap/shampoo).From$180

Definitely a perfect place for hideaway. Stayed at the garden villa with private jacuzzi, have the river +sea view from the villa.
The resort is by the river and not far away from the beach. We can ride the boat provided by the hotel to the beach for free. Kayaking is available at THB 150 per hour and it’s quite fun. Location wise, there’s no 7-11 or any convenient shops within walking distance but all reachable with a motorbike, which is rentable at the lobby of the resort. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, will definitely come back!From$119

The hotel is wonderful, the staff are friendly, helpful, and responsive around the clock. The jungle is fun, and there are chickens that children enjoy watching. You can see hornbills in the trees. You can see monkeys and macaques and enjoy the beautiful beach and pools. There is a cable car that takes you there. A shuttle service is available to and from the hotel. Hotel was lovely, right on the beach and could to the local shops.
We had a terrible issue with flies, and even though we ensured all the doors and windows remained closed, these tiny flies still appeared from the drains. We had to ask the staff to come every evening to help (which they did) but it wasn’t the best welcome back after a day out to have flies on all our personal belongings, especially when the main area was in the bathroom.From$131

I recently stayed in a pool villa at this hotel, and while the overall experience was okay, there were some issues. The villa itself was spacious and nice, but it felt a bit old and in need of maintenance.
One major downside was the jacuzzi, which had a bubble function that wasn’t working. The shower was also frustrating, as the water heater didn’t function properly, giving only very hot or very cold water with no in-between. On the second day, we faced low water pressure, and the heater stopped working altogether. Despite informing the staff in the late morning and returning in the afternoon, the problem was still not fixed. It seemed like the front desk and the maintenance team didn’t communicate well, which was disappointing.
As for the breakfast, it was just okay—nothing special but decent enough.
That said, one good point is that the price is reasonable compared to other hotels on the island. If they can improve their maintenance and service, this place could be a much better choice.

Room clean but the bathroom door was installed the wrong way round so it took up space and also added more coat hangers, when there are four towels there should be 4 coat hangers now there is only one. Overall the hotel is clean.

The hotel might be a bit old and the location might not be a plus point but the services and facilities that have been provided are excellent. At the hotel has swimming pool, pool bar, basketball machine, table tennis, kayak and paddle board. There is buggy service which really makes our stay are super convenient. To go outside, they also have the accommodated shuttle bus but since we drove there so we haven't had chance to use their transportation much. Our family was having such a great time there. The owner and his staff are very caring and look after the guests very well. We surely stay in this hotel again if we have chance to visit Koh Chang again.From$71

The address on Ctrip is wrong! It's wrong! Give Ctrip a bad review! I used this address for navigation and went to the wrong place, kc! Just enter its English name on Google. The room is actually very shabby, and the guest room is still upgraded, with a sea view room. Then there is a strong musty smell, just like a hotel I stayed in Shengsi before, but that hotel in China is 1500, and it also has a private beach but no breakfast. The location here is amazing, with its own beach and swimming pool, but the room smells musty and not very clean. The air conditioning is also relatively poor, and the bedding is also relatively worn out. The breakfast is okay, very mediocre, but at least there is milk. The Giraffe Hotel in China costs 1500 a night, and there is no milk in the morning. In short, around 300, it is super value! Forget about pursuing quality, but pursue cost-effectiveness, it is not too bad. It is clean, but it is old, the house by the sea is damp, and there is a strong musty smell. Worth it.SOLD OUT

Rooms are clean and big. Check in as check out is smooth. The bar and restaurant looks new. The rooms seems to be renoveted. But the suroundings need attention. Some parts of the wooden floor on the restaurant where shaking as we walked over it. The bathroom is updated but shower was was weak pressure and the Shower head need to be cleaned. The restaurant food was, amazing good en fair priced. Staff is helpful and friendly. Most customers where young guests and the bar near our room was a bit loud. After all it was a plus. The food is good but the resturant is quite far from the hotel which means you have to ask a cart from place to place throung they have many project in one area. Staff was very helpful. Nice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. The hotel is very decent; we had a deluxe villa. It's clean, beautiful, and comfortable! The breakfasts are a bit weak; by 9:30, the pans are almost empty and not replenished. Cheeses and cold meats are either missing or run out too quickly. The omelet station is open, but it's very slow, and you often have to wait in line. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has everything you need for your convenience: cafes, a couple of supermarkets, massage parlors, laundries—everything you need. During our stay, there were a lot of jellyfish in the sea, but over the last two days, they practically disappeared. But it gave us a chance to explore the island and visit many other beaches. Koh Chang is a joy; we'll definitely be back!From$103

We didn't book a sea view room. We were assigned two rooms when we checked in, one facing the street and the other facing the garden. The breakfast was OK. You have to ask the waiter for freshly ground coffee. The room facilities are simple, the pillows and sponges are all scattered, there is no toilet paper in the room, and the room cleaning did not refill the toilet paper and soap. The shower water was cold on the first day, but I asked him to fix it on the second day. The hotel garden faces the sea, and the scenery is not bad. Such a good hotel, the score is so low ~ because I took my mother on this trip and wanted to go to some quiet resorts, this one was my first choice. Because it is far from the white sand beach, if you have a self-driving car on the island, I highly recommend you to live! ! Because it's so beautiful! ! The room is big and clean. Can't see the Chinese at all~ Stay in the hotel comfortably for two days, there are free boats to take you to the other side to play, and canoes for rent~ very good! ! It is highly recommended. I booked a big bed room, opened the door and found that the bed has to be 3 meters wide...very comfortable! Feeding the turtles every day, looking at the scenery, really comfortable. However, I have to complaint on the awful service Trip.com provided. I booked a simple thai double room. However, The room I checked in is completely different to the photos Trip.com provided. It's absolutely a cheat. Basically, the photos shown on Trip.com for simple thai, is actually a Local Thai room, which's a newly refurbished room. However, Just be aware that the Simple Thai is the old room. (Please refer to the photo I uploaded for the Local Thai room)
During my stay, I have tried all the means I could to get in touch with Trip.com and try to resolve the issue. But they didn't meet their promise to change my room neither, and it's totally a ridiculous experience with Trip.com customer service. From$189

I checked before ordering but there were no reviews, and the pictures were a bit distorted, but it said it would open in 2024. I was still hesitant about whether to order. In the end, because this was the only way to meet the needs of all of us, I ordered with the mentality of giving it a try. Two buildings, I felt guilty all the way, afraid of stepping on thunder.
It was a surprise after arriving at the hotel. The hotel is located on the west coast of Koh Chang. It is very quiet. It consists of 5-6 small villas in total. It is absolutely the same as the picture, and even feels more comfortable. When we arrived, the landlord and his maid welcomed us. To our surprise, the landlady was actually ********* and could communicate in Chinese without any problem. After we checked in, we learned that the landlord had just taken over the place and said that we were actually the first on their network. As a single guest😄, we were provided with free use of all facilities in the hotel. We also prepared barbecue grills and other equipment before we went out to play. All our needs were met during our stay.
Due to time constraints, our whole family only stayed for two nights, but we felt like we were at home for the whole two days. The landlady and her mother were really hospitable. One moment, they gave us cashew nuts that they made personally, and the other moment, they gave us cashew nuts. The local Qingyou will give each child a large piece of chocolate when he sees it. To be honest, the landlord treated us like family during these two days.
It is really a treasure place. I will definitely stay at their house next time I go there. I sincerely recommend friends who go to Koh Chang to visit their house to experience it!SOLD OUT

Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here.
We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after.
The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view.
As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience!
The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you.

The hotel's location is decent, with a 7/11, cafes, restaurants, and everything a tourist could need within easy reach. Unfortunately, we weren't thrilled or even satisfied with our stay. We stayed in budget rooms. Our room had very poor lighting; the small, frosted windows let in minimal natural light, and the artificial lighting within the room was also extremely dim. Overall, the room didn't feel cozy at all; it was like living in a cave. Perhaps this was due to the low season, but it felt like the hotel was in a semi-abandoned state; the pool's jacuzzi and fountains weren't working at all, and the grounds were poorly maintained. For about 3-4 days, what we presumed to be monkey droppings lay in the chill-out area near the budget rooms, and no one bothered to clean them up 🙃. The hotel staff themselves were nice and very friendly; we had no issues with them. The problem, we believe, lies with the higher management, who seem to have neglected the entire hotel. It's also important to note that the hotel is virtually integrated into the jungle, resulting in a lot of wildlife, including monkeys, on the grounds.From$38

While we stayed the restaurant was not open, so all guests went to the next resort for breakfast. The staff informed us that the restaurant will reopen next year. They have a masseuse right on the beach who are well worth a visit! The only thing to consider is the distance from the main road, we were pretty mobile and happily took tuk tuk taxis to other parts of the island, but those with kids and/or a lot of luggage might find the location a bit remote. There is a place to rent motorbikes nearby (at a reasonable price) but personally, as this area of the island is very hilly, we chose to not rent and just used taxis instead.

Большой удобный балкон, хотелось бы видеть больше зелени с него, но пока мы там были видели , что они стараются и облагораживают территорию за причалом , на который выходил наш балкон. Хочется отметить завтраки, выбор не очень большой, но всё очень вкусное, а уж сервис просто на высоте. Единственное чего хотелось бы добавить это более разнообразного меню на ужин. Но при желании можно прогуляться в деревню, это займет минут 15-20, там есть тайские кафе и итальянская пиццерия, где готовят не только пиццу и пасту, но и супы и вторые блюда на итальянский манер. Так же хочется заметить что место достаточно уединённое и тук- туки туда не заезжают и если хочется выезжать на другие пляжи лучше брать на прокат байк или авто.
В общем если вам нужен релакс , природа и умиротворение, то вам обязательно стоит хоть на несколько дней заглянуть сюда 😀. Мы точно вернёмся .

My son and I stayed here for 6 days and everything was wonderful — spacious clean rooms, delicious coffee in the room every day, and a huge luxurious pool (there are two more on the property, but this one was more than enough for us). The breakfasts were very tasty and diverse!
I especially want to thank your staff members Sa and Hand — without them, our vacation would have been much less fun! They are absolute superheroes: every day they organized different activities and played with my son Sasha, even when it wasn’t part of their responsibilities. We had beach football, Thai boxing, an art workshop, and more. Sa and Hand, thank you for your kindness and positivity — I wish you all the best!
It was also such a lovely surprise to receive birthday wishes from the whole team, even though I wasn’t expecting it.
The beach and sunsets are stunning — honestly, there’s no such thing as a “low season” here. Thailand is beautiful at any time of year! The resort is by the river and not far away from the beach. We can ride the boat provided by the hotel to the beach for free. Kayaking is available at THB 150 per hour and it’s quite fun. Location wise, there’s no 7-11 or any convenient shops within walking distance but all reachable with a motorbike, which is rentable at the lobby of the resort. |12.01km from city centerIt is a quiet and beautiful community surrounded by the gentlest beaches of Elephant Island, where you can watch the sunset on the beach next to the restaurant, and you can watch the sunrise for a few minutes in the distance (but it will be blocked by the hills and cannot see the sunrise on the sea). The room was very comfortable, clean and intimate, and the three-bedroom villa had its own pool. Breakfast is delicious.
