All concierge staff are very friendly. More so than front desk.
The female toilet at lobby smells and there is no grills covering the gap on the floor in the female toilet cubicle. One of my feet landed in the gap.
I requested for quiet rooms but were given rooms on level 12, not only same level as Premier lounge but opp the activity rooms which were very noisy. The entrance door from lounge to the rooms were sometimes left open instead of closed (key tap access).
On one of the mornings Sun, the breakfast queue was extremely long. First time encountering this in my travels. Managed to get in for breakfast on 2nd day ..some of the cutleries were not clean.From$43

The hotel is located in the middle of Melaka, but there are not many activities nearby. There is a river cruise within walking distance, but I didn’t try it. We only used the water taxi, which was cheaper, to travel from Jonker Walk back to the hotel.
The food selection is limited—just enough to fill your stomach, but not much variety. I was quite disappointed with the coffee machine; the coffee is too light, and even the Americano is not strong.
The lift is annoying, as the waiting time is very long when going up or down. and the sticker make it confusing to search for number,and screen didn't show which floor when lift stop. need to upgrade or do something ,the lift waiting time is very poor. The lifts are frequently full. At times, we opted to use the stairs due to long waiting times; however, the stairwell is dull and gives an uncomfortable feeling.
My kids loved the pool, but it needs maintenance. I noticed some broken tiles, which could potentially cause injuries to children.
The room is just nice. I booked a studio suite, and the toilet has transparent glass. In our room, the glass was blurry, but you can still see shadows. I asked the receptionist about the Premier room, and they mentioned that it is not even blurry—it is fully see-through.
I think the hotel should consider installing a curtain or proper covering for the bathroom, as this can be quite inconvenient when traveling with family.From$28

As for breakfast, choices are limited but still good enough to have a wonderful experience to start my day.

I’ve stayed at The Pines Hotel twice already. Overall, the location is very good and convenient, with easy parking which I really like. However, in terms of cleanliness, it was just okay — not very good, but still acceptable.
Unfortunately, during both visits I faced the same issue where the room access card couldn’t be used properly, which was quite inconvenient. Hopefully this can be improved in the future.From$43

Stayed overnight recently and overall had a pleasant experience. Location is convenient if you’re driving, but not very pedestrian-friendly.
The hotel has an industrial, chic design that’s visually appealing, though it can feel a little sterile. Check-in was smooth and the service throughout the stay was excellent.
Breakfast is simple but adequate, some hit and miss dishes like the noodle in prawn broth was super bland and tasteless. Only small gripe: the trays are a bit too tall for fun-sized people 🤭.
We were assigned a corner room, which came with a smaller window, and a few practical issues:
• Power outlet is quite far from the bed
• Bathroom is tiny, and the door opens inward
• No trash bags in the bins, which was a bit inconvenient
• TV isn’t a smart TV
• No pool
• Open-air corridor with no AC, so it gets very hot when walking to and from the room

The parking lot is behind the hotel. It would be great if they offered valet parking. Luckily, there's a side door from the hotel that leads directly to the parking lot.
The room facilities are quite new and have a strong local flavor. It overlooks the Melaka River cruise, and the view isn't as good as the Dusit Thani Princess next door, which faces the sea. The TV, however, is a bit old-fashioned.
Both the pool and gym are very small, barely better than nothing, but the gym environment is quite good.
Breakfast is served until 10:30 AM. We went at 10 AM, and the breakfast staff were incredibly impatient. I also mentioned this in my subsequent hotel review: if they don't want to serve breakfast guests at 10 AM, they should just say so, rather than making guests face their bad attitudes. Breakfast is à la carte with unlimited ordering. We, as a couple, ordered four dishes plus one dessert. The presentation was terrible; the plates were oily when they were brought out. We were very disappointed with the breakfast.
The front desk service was decent, but it took a while to process the parking ticket when we were leaving. Perhaps the staff weren't very familiar with the operation, or the system was slow.
It's worth staying for one day to experience the Melaka charm, but don't expect much from the hotel's facilities and services.From$105

Booked the suite and room was really big. Came with 2 queen beds and had a separate work area big enough for meals and activities 😅
Room was clean and look well maintained. No stains or whatsoever. Very pleasant stay. The hotel staff were helpful and prompt in service. We asked to clean up the room and left for breakfast immediately after. When we returned the room was all made up, neat and tidy.
Breakfast was decent. Do note though, that the take-your-own-food buffet style became semi ala carte buffet because there were not enough guests while I was there. Still, it was good enough.
Kids wanted to swim but the pool was a little too tiny for our liking. We did activities outside of the hotel though so not much of an issue.
Location wise. If you want something right next to malls or in the heart of the jonker area, this is probably not your best choice. We take a 10 min walk to the jonker area and it was a comfortable stroll though. Quiet enough but not too near.
Overall a good stay and very happy to return.From$161

Given room was at 10th floor. Found out most of the rooms at the same level are abandon. As a solo traveller on business trip i Requested to change the room, waiting for hours to get the room through whatsapp. End up, i didnt get my room. They should have put notice informing guest that the level under maintenance or should not offer that level for guest.From$38

I am really recommend this property service as it is very convenience. I just book for a few minutes and promptly get a response so fast and can check in a few minutes even it was a late already at 9pm. The key receiving is also easy and secured.From$33

The house is comfortable for us who have small children. Even though it is a studio house, the house is very clean, beautiful and tidy. Thank you for giving us an interesting experience. The view from the house is beautiful. Especially at night. 🥰From$58

This is a newly opened hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean! The hotel was fully booked that day, so we were assigned a lower floor room, but we could still see the Strait of Malacca, which was nice! The surrounding area of the hotel is also very convenient with many food options and convenience stores. It rained heavily that day, and I thought the hotel would provide umbrellas for guests, but they didn't. I hope they can improve on that. The shower in the bathroom is only separated on the left, so when you shower, the entire floor gets wet. I suggest enclosing it completely to prevent slipping. Also, the showerhead control is designed too close to the ceiling; I recommend changing its position.From$34

Quite clean if you compare to other similar standard hotels in the area, booked it at a cheap rate so cannot complain much for the price paid…

Wifi was good when I checked in, but got pretty bad when i returned from dinner… not sure what happened… lazy to go down to the reception so just slept early
Overall, it was alright. Location was amazing tho, 10 mins to the nearest mall, heng chicken rice balls across the street :)From$24

Location hotel okay, dapat bilik menghadap sungai melaka and kg morten, breakfast available daripada 7am-12pm, teh tarik and nyonya laksa sedap! Swimming pool sangat besar and kids friendly cuma air swimming pool sejuk beku 😂 booked untuk 3hari 2malam and add extra bed for 65per night. Excellent services and staff semua baik and friendly, parking at level 7/8 and naik lif at blok B, so daripada parking boleh turun ke G level untuk tukar lif naik ke bilik.From$37

The room was very spacious, and all appliances were in good condition. Parking was easy, and the area was not affected by traffic congestion. The staff were generally helpful. They only provided an à la carte breakfast due to the low number of guests during my stay.From$30

Whenever I am in Melaka, I will check into Treasure Hotel! Feel at home with the friendly staff and very hospitable manager Ms Jasmine! Location is not in Jonker walk which is a plus - away from the hustle and buss of the old town area. Walking to the river side takes less than 10mins. Highly recommended if you drive - no traffic jams. Park your car at the hotel and walk anywhere stress free!From$78

Our room was located by the roadside, and during the weekend nights, there was constant traffic noise especially from loud motorbikes. The location is about 2 km from the city center, and there are no proper walkways or safe crossings for pedestrians. Staff was welcoming.From$26
