I’ll start with the positives: the hotel has an excellent location and the breakfasts are really tasty. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was quite disappointing. At check-in, we were told there had been a leak in the room and that there was a stain on the carpet. That wasn’t a huge issue for us. But the room itself was very small — especially around the beds. Looking at the floor plan, other rooms seemed to have a much better layout. Bottled drinking water wasn’t replaced in the room. When we asked, we were told it was “complimentary” — but that didn’t explain why it wasn’t restocked. The TV remote didn’t work — but to be fair, it was replaced quickly. The sink drain was stuck shut — also fixed promptly. Towels weren’t changed until we specifically requested it. When the shampoo ran out, they first brought shower gel and just left it on the bed. After asking again, they replaced it with shampoo — but never refilled the dispenser in the shower, even after several days of housekeeping. The wardrobe for coats is in the far corner of the room, so you can’t hang your jacket by the entrance — you have to walk through the whole room first. Overall, the room was very dusty — thick dust on the safe, wardrobe, and microwave, which clearly hadn’t been wiped in a long time. Great location and breakfast, but the cleanliness and attention to detail really let this hotel down.

The room itself is actually great value for money, but the facilities are basic. There's no paid drinking water in the room, and you have to go to the second floor to buy it, which is really inconvenient. Downstairs, there's a place to store luggage, but not overnight. The location is convenient; it's a 5-6 minute walk to the Charging Bull, and you can easily walk to the New York Stock Exchange and other financial areas. There's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, with at least four platforms nearby, which is very handy. It's also close to the South Ferry. If you buy a New York City unlimited weekly subway pass, getting around is super easy from here.

The location is super convenient, right next to Times Square, making it easy to catch a Broadway show. I especially loved the breakfast; the dining area was beautiful and the food was delicious. You can choose from breakfast sets or order à la carte. They even give you free tickets to MoMA when you check in! The hotel is only about a ten-minute walk from MoMA, and my daughter went two days in a row!

Hot water from tap and shower comes out milky and smells a little weird, bed had a piece of metal sticking out (in the photo) , really easy to kick it while in the dark. I got myself a pretty bad bruise from it so be careful if you get room 408. I wouldve called front desk about these issues but the phone in the room didnt work either. On the plus side, staff are pretty nice. Fridges are also available on request.

The front desk staff were proactive in trying to solve problems, but the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. We didn’t want to know, but we ended up learning the hair color of the previous guest. Having only two elevators was an inconvenience, but the relaxed pace of travel made it more tolerable. The hot water and coffee were really great.

This is an older, established hotel with an excellent location right in Midtown Manhattan. It's convenient for taking the subway to the train station. I really appreciated the security guard checking room cards before entering the elevators in the lobby – it made me feel very safe. The room and bathroom were small, likely due to the hotel's age, and the poor soundproofing was a definite downside. The air conditioning was quite loud, but the temperature was stable. The view from the window was nice; you could even see The Edge. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, and both the security guard and the housekeeping staff were very polite. I arrived from San Francisco at 10 AM, and it was raining and snowing and freezing outside. The front desk said I had to wait until 4 PM to check in, or pay an extra $75 for early check-in, which I couldn't do. Luggage storage wasn't free either; they charged $5 per bag.

This is a great hotel 1. First of all, the location is very good, located on Park Avenue and 28th Street, next to Fifth Avenue and only 1 minute away from the 28th Street subway station, which is very convenient for going to North or South Manhattan. We took the subway to Sumit, then walked along the way to Times Square and the shopping street, and finally passed the Empire State Building and walked back in less than half an hour! 2. A 5-minute walk away is a large supermarket WholeFood. It has a large buffet restaurant with a lot of oriental food, which is very convenient and delicious. There are nearly 10 kinds of soups to choose from. The buffet has a lot of cold dishes and cooked food. It feels like the problem of eating is completely solved. In addition, it also includes a sushi restaurant and a pizza restaurant, so no matter what kind of diet you need, it can be solved. Although the price is not as cheap as imagined, in New York, I think it is worth the money 😊 3. Although the equipment in the room is a bit old, it is modern so it doesn't look old. In addition, the size of the room is considered large in New York, which is a big advantage. 4. We stayed here for four nights. Room number 1401 was at least very quiet. The air conditioner, which is the most criticized in the United States, was very noisy. It didn't happen here at all. And its LCD air conditioner control was the simplest and most convenient to adjust by myself that I have ever used, so I slept well for four nights. 5. The staff is of good quality and helpful. The room service is mainly Chinese, so there is no problem in communication. They are also very polite, so I think this is a plus.

Great location and a fantastic, modern hotel. Everything was very clean, and our room had excellent views over the city. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The only downside was the lifts — the queues were long and most of the time only one out of four seemed to be working. It would also be helpful if the £10 daily credit could roll over. Despite this, I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again. We even spotted a very famous photographer staying there at the same time!

The location is super convenient, right next to MoMA. From the window, you can see the Steinway building – I wonder if Leo DiCaprio lives there! The hotel is a bit old, and even with renovations, it still feels dated. The 1.3-meter bed was a bit too narrow for my liking. What really stung was that I booked it for over 2000, and on the day of check-in, the price dropped to 1120. Heartbreaking!

Fenomenal location close to everything + subway Just be aware that there is the Roof Top Bar with Lou music friday-saturday until 4AM (18th floor) we could hear it a little bit from 9th floor so closer floors might have suffered it a little more...or they maybe joined the party??!!! Needs to be 21 to get in. Saturday Sundays entry is admitted to everyone as they offer Brunch Service there. The grab&go thing is great for breakfast and also if you want to grab something to eat during long days visiting the city. Also ask for free water if needed!!! The 10 dollars to spend every day per room is also good as you can use them to get some extra food or coffee or beer or discount when using the hotel bar/restaurants/club facilities. In brief, very good place to stay in New York

My son and I had the most incredible experience! I would recommend the William Vale to all my friends and family. The balcony views at sunset in the summer are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself offers many thoughtful amenities including a welcome message with your name on the television upon arrival. I honestly only have one small complaint and that was the cleaning service. We called about having the room cleaned and actually spoke with the individual who said she would come back at the time we requested but she never returned. Other than that one little hiccup everything went smoothly from the time we pulled up to valet to unload our luggage. There is NO better hotel to stay in Williamsburg aside from the William Vale.

There are also lots of grocery stores and restaurants around so you won't worry about food. Staffs are helpful and when you're out of room, they do daily housekeeping, just make sure you remove the ”occupied room” tag on your doorknob. They support sustainability through providing a water dispenser instead of bottled water. The room size is good. Horrible experience with Service & Unnecessary charges a) After charging $40 + taxes, they give $30 free meal voucher every day. After Day-1 i realised it was more economical to not use the $30 voucher. Sounds strange but its very Interestingly structured. One orders an Avocado toast for $29 (within budget) from the in room menu. The guy delivers in 30mins with a bill of $52 of which its $29 of food, $10 of delivery charges and $13 of taxes totalling to $52. So 1st you are charged $40 as City charged and in lieu of that the coupon of $30 for food given to you even if u stuck to your understanding $30 you would have paid more than $52 means extra $22 It gets more interesting when they tell you, that you cant use this $30 for breakfast. This is like a Ponzi scheme. b) One of the rudest In-room dining call you will ever attend. I asked what is XXXXX, revert: you should read about it, this is not in my job profile, I only take orders. Fab experience 😍 c) I requested that since i was lactose intolerant could the hotel be kind to deliver 1/4 cup of Almond milk, just enough for a cup of tea. I am told that is possible and then a full cup of milk with $10 + taxes = $13 is charged for simple request of Almond milk. d) You are not eligible for even a single bottle of water in a so called 5star hotel or so. e) Servicing the room was not in list, had to go twice over to reception to ensure that room no is added to list of rooms to be serviced in the day. f) The Coffee machine wasnt working and one had to request for a simple electric kettle to warm water for tea/coffee. g) The Jet spray in the washroom commode was jammed and not working.

The hotel is worth recommending in all aspects. The price-performance ratio is still very advantageous compared to the surrounding areas. My children have stayed here many times and for a long time, and they are full of praise for the hotel! (By the way, I would like to remind international students entering the United States, especially senior students, to handle the I20 form in time at school before leaving school. In particular, they should find the school's international affairs department, sign, and confirm whether the printed form has expired. In addition, when entering the country, if you encounter problems, don't panic and actively cooperate. The US customs officers are still very humane. They also know that it is not easy for international students to come here from afar, and they will not easily make unfavorable decisions. They will actively communicate with the school to understand the situation. Finally, I would like to remind the children to activate international roaming on their US mobile phones, otherwise it will be very troublesome after returning home)

The lobby is on the 21st floor, and check-in is available after 4 PM. We were able to store our luggage for free on the day we arrived. Our room on the 32nd floor was a corner room with windows on two sides, offering great views. It was clean, spacious, and bright, and there was even a Chinese-speaking receptionist, which was a thoughtful touch. The ground floor entrance is a bit small and has a pillar in the middle, but once you're inside, it's quite spacious. My only complaint is that housekeeping only made the bed and emptied the trash; they didn't clean the hair on the floor or restock the tissues and toilet paper. I hope they can improve on that.

For a week-long stay, they cleaned every two days, and it didn't affect service even if I didn't leave a tip, which was nice as it's not mandatory. Overall, it's quite friendly for Chinese travelers.🤭

The room was spacious enough for a solo traveler, but it might be a bit cramped for two people. There were several toilets and showers on the floor. The shower closest to my room was out of order, but it wasn't an issue as there were others available. I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest option, and the location turned out to be excellent, especially for those using Newark Airport. It's a 10-minute walk from Penn Station, which has direct trains to the airport, so no transfers needed. Plus, it's within walking distance of Times Square and Broadway, which was a huge convenience as I didn't have to take the subway late at night. It's quite a busy area, so it didn't feel particularly unsafe even late at night, but sirens were a frequent sound and could be heard clearly in the room. If you're sensitive to noise, this might not be the best choice for you.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. The rooms aren't in the best condition. Torn carpets and peeling paint on the walls. I had a terrible time at night. Our room overlooked some transistor radios, and the noise was unbearable. It was constant. I had to sleep with my AirPods in... Also, the woman who checked us in at reception, although she spoke Spanish, was very unpleasant. I would choose a different hotel if I return to New York.

After living in New York for three days, the room is really small. The 28-inch suitcase can't be opened flat, because it is a vegetarian hotel. You can't eat it. The front desk prepares fruit bread and milk. The public bath is very good and the travel is convenient. Suitable for one person to travel
