The room itself is actually great value for money, but the facilities are basic. There's no paid drinking water in the room, and you have to go to the second floor to buy it, which is really inconvenient. Downstairs, there's a place to store luggage, but not overnight. The location is convenient; it's a 5-6 minute walk to the Charging Bull, and you can easily walk to the New York Stock Exchange and other financial areas. There's a subway entrance directly across from the hotel, with at least four platforms nearby, which is very handy. It's also close to the South Ferry. If you buy a New York City unlimited weekly subway pass, getting around is super easy from here.

A special shout-out to Mr. Shah and Mr. Brian at the front desk – their service was impeccable, and they were so friendly and diligent. They truly deserve praise! 👍👍 We celebrated a birthday at the 9th-floor restaurant this time, and Mr. Ace was a huge help throughout. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was quick and easy to check in. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had everything I needed for getting ready and showering. The hotel also has good restaurants in it. Highkey has a lovely brunch and good drinks. The staff here are kind and helpful. The location is fantastic. It's a short walk from the subway, and there are lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, some of which are very affordable.

I love Arlo. I stay at Arlo pretty often. But this time was off. I came back to my room in the evening, they cleaned it, but they didn’t take out the trash from the terrace and it started the rain. And I didn’t have coffee capsules (pods) at all. I called to reception and girl was like oh do you have a coffee machine in your room I was like yes I do. And a guy came at 11pm and was cleaning the terrace.

This is an older, established hotel with an excellent location right in Midtown Manhattan. It's convenient for taking the subway to the train station. I really appreciated the security guard checking room cards before entering the elevators in the lobby – it made me feel very safe. The room and bathroom were small, likely due to the hotel's age, and the poor soundproofing was a definite downside. The air conditioning was quite loud, but the temperature was stable. The view from the window was nice; you could even see The Edge. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, and both the security guard and the housekeeping staff were very polite. I arrived from San Francisco at 10 AM, and it was raining and snowing and freezing outside. The front desk said I had to wait until 4 PM to check in, or pay an extra $75 for early check-in, which I couldn't do. Luggage storage wasn't free either; they charged $5 per bag.

Great location and a fantastic, modern hotel. Everything was very clean, and our room had excellent views over the city. We really enjoyed our stay overall. The only downside was the lifts — the queues were long and most of the time only one out of four seemed to be working. It would also be helpful if the £10 daily credit could roll over. Despite this, I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again. We even spotted a very famous photographer staying there at the same time!

The room was quite spacious. Being on a middle floor, it wasn't too noisy. The facilities are pretty much what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel in Beijing from the late 90s. It had a bathtub with a showerhead, and as often happens, the bathtub didn't drain very well, but it didn't stop me from showering. On my first day, the hotel had no hot water, which was a real shame; it only came back on at 6 AM the next day. They don't provide slippers or toothbrushes, but they do have shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The service was generally quite routine, though the room attendant had a better attitude. They also charge for luggage storage.

There are also lots of grocery stores and restaurants around so you won't worry about food. Staffs are helpful and when you're out of room, they do daily housekeeping, just make sure you remove the ”occupied room” tag on your doorknob. They support sustainability through providing a water dispenser instead of bottled water. The room size is good. Having a mini kitchen is a plus, with microwave oven, kitchen sink, water kettle and mini refrigerator. Overall, we enjoyed our stay especially the hotel's proximity to lots of attractions. This hotel is really close to the Javits Center in New York, about a 10-minute walk, which was super convenient for my business trip. There are also convenience stores nearby, making daily life very easy. Of course, the facilities can't compare to hotels in China, as most hotels here are quite old. However, the environment and cleanliness were good, and the room was comfortable. For a week-long stay, they cleaned every two days, and it didn't affect service even if I didn't leave a tip, which was nice as it's not mandatory. Overall, it's quite friendly for Chinese travelers.🤭

For a week-long stay, they cleaned every two days, and it didn't affect service even if I didn't leave a tip, which was nice as it's not mandatory. The room was spacious enough for a solo traveler, but it might be a bit cramped for two people. There were several toilets and showers on the floor. The shower closest to my room was out of order, but it wasn't an issue as there were others available. I booked this hotel because it was the cheapest option, and the location turned out to be excellent, especially for those using Newark Airport. It's a 10-minute walk from Penn Station, which has direct trains to the airport, so no transfers needed. Plus, it's within walking distance of Times Square and Broadway, which was a huge convenience as I didn't have to take the subway late at night. It's quite a busy area, so it didn't feel particularly unsafe even late at night, but sirens were a frequent sound and could be heard clearly in the room. If you're sensitive to noise, this might not be the best choice for you.
