MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME Ten Simple Reasons Why I Will Keep Booking UNA@Sunway through Bluebird 1. HONESTY. To begin, in the simplest form - The Host - Bluebird is honest. They say what they mean and mean what they say. 2. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Two bedrooms mean two bedrooms. Unlike some hosts (such as my last experience at Swiss Garden Residences) which slither their way around with words. The second bedroom was nothing more than a work space with a foldable bed but with deceptive photos that makes it look like a room - sigh) But UNA is straightforward. Everything listed is what it should be. No hiding behind flowery words. The give you what they say they will give. 3. CLEAN, SPICK & SPAN. I'm a rather easy going person, but there are limitations to my easy nature when it comes to cleanliness. Being with a four year old child means I am extra cautious. Because she would not even step onto the ground if she deems a place dirty. Well? She was lying and playing on the floor the whole time we stayed there. 4. BATHROOM. There are two. One is common and the other ensuite. I first used the common bathroom for my shower. The water heater in this bathroom is the typical type - which is a wall mounted unit or what some might call, ”tankless water heater”. Pressure was good enough. Assuming that both bathroom were the same, I remembered thinking - how much nicer it would be if there were something like a conventional tank water heater. Because the water pressure and volume of water would be even greater. Lo and behold - in the ensuite master room, I found what I was looking for. As I use rain shower head at home, I really appreciate any accommodation that provides such facilities as well. Being in a tropical country, to me the shower is a very very important aspect during my travels. It just washes all the dirt and grime away and leaves me feeling amazingly fresh! I love the bathroom. And yes, like the rest of the unit - it is spick and span too! 5. BEDROOMS - While my wife found the bed to be a tad too soft for her liking - it was excellent for me. She used the bed in the other bedroom on the second night and found it to her liking. I find that bed, just a tad too firm. So, problem solved. While there is never a perfect solution to what kind of beds you expect in a hotel or accommodation - the two beds at UNA by Bluebird worked great for us. One to my liking and another to her liking. My young daughter? She likes both. Both rooms come with AC and fan. How delightful. I love to sleep (hibernate) in a very chilly room and the AC alone was enough to send me into a deep slumber. Combined with the fan - turned on at a low speed - I was hibernating soundly every night. 6. NOPE NO PANTRY - BUT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL KITCHEN! Well pantry sounds quaint right? So quaint you could barely move. Check out some of the airbnb pantries in Manila and you will know what I mean. Those pantries are at best good for heating up food with a microwave. The family apartment I got was absolutely terrible & that’s being polite. Dirty Dirty Dirty. My friend booked it for me for 3 nights but after 1 hour in the apartment was already booking online for a hotel. All I can say is that make sure you do your homework work before you book. I sure there are a lot better apartments/studios in the building but the one I got which is on the 12th floor flat 15 was horrendous. The furniture was budget land & the beds OMG!! I’m still having nightmares!! Had to go to the living space/kitchen (if that’s what you want to call it) to turn the bedroom lights off. Can go on & on but I guess you get the picture. If this is luxury then McDonald’s is fine dining.

Nice suite in a good location. Booked the room for two nights. After checking in at 6 AM I had to change rooms at noon. That was a little bit inconvenient. This hotel doesn't have a front desk. For checking in and checking out you have to call a number and someone is coming 10 to 15 minutes later. When leaving, I was checking out at 5 AM to catch an early flight. I called and waited 20 minutes but nobody came. When I called the number again, the same person, sounding very sleepy answered. He probably fell asleep again after the first call. Finally 15 minutes later somebody came to check me out and return the security deposit.

It's like staying in an Air BnB. We had a whole 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment to ourselves. The apartment came with plates, utensils, a microwave, convection oven, refrigerator and plenty of toilet paper. The AC worked well and the kids enjoyed watching Mr. Bean on whatever streaming service they had. The location is hard to beat. The other hotels in the area are super fancy and super expensive. The only concern was some signage in and around the building as to the legality of short-term leasing and home stays.

Our stay, although only the 1 night started badly from the moment we arrived. We discovered the hotel has no reception in the lobby. I was instructed to message the host & he would come & meet & greet us. After being kept waiting for 35 minutes I messaged again asking if this is normal & got a reply ”it is for us” then I suggested they shouldn't keep guests waiting to which I received another reply of ”it's called queue, not waiting. I then received a message from a different number who then presented himself to my wife & I which my wife said to her surprise he had been sitting outside opposite her for the past 20 minutes. He then showed us to our room which we found very spacious & quite comfortable. We were then asked for payment which I produced my credit card only to be told cards were not accepted, only cash. Having just flown in from Thailand we were not carrying a lot of local currency on us. What hotel in a large bustling city does not offer credit card facilities. This was a first for us. I then had to proceed in trying to find a nearby ATM without luck. I received numerous messages & calls from the gentleman with him even coming to our room at 10.30pm to collect payment which at this time I explained I hadn't found any so would have to make payment next morning. This is totally unacceptable. The room itself although nice lacked basic amenities which included no soap in the bathroom, only a half roll of toilet tissue which I had to go & buy extra, no bath mat or hand towels, tea or coffee facilities, a TV with no working channels tuned in. Overall our stay was disappointing & I probably wouldn't consider staying here again unless these issues were addressed.

We arrived at reception with a room booked months before. We had booked on Agoda. Star Residences Art Apartment KL, owner Alexander Polyakov, 5 nights. At the reception which is not a real reception but a station for the security guards, they tell us that we have to call the host. We send him a message on whatsapp and he doesn't respond even after viewing it. He also ends calls. Thanks to the kindness of the guard at the reception who lent us his phone, we immediately contacted Agoda. The host doesn't seem to be responding to them either. Moral cancellation of reservation. The option offers refund or other accommodation. We ask to find us another accommodation. In the meantime, time passes and it is getting dark. Do not book with this host, he is not serious at all. While waiting, I open the booking app and find a room in a residence that on the map seems very close to where we were. I pay in cash and I book. Residence klcc which fortunately are apartments in the usual building of the first. So there's no need to move. Fingers crossed in the hope that the host responds this time. He responded, came immediately and saved the day for us. Since it was 5pm on the same day, the price was really discounted. Agoda refunded us immediately. Apartment, nice, spacious, clean. Mitiu (I don't know if his name is spelled like that) was very helpful, he even got us a pot to cook pasta. The Petronas in sight, panoramic swimming pool on the attic, central area. I recommend this residence but please do not book apartments owned by Alexander in residence star one because you risk sleeping on the street. Opt for klcc residences and possibly with Mitiu which is a guarantee.

We are Singapore we keep the country clean so what type of must we get . Beware of some humans like very clean even the furniture carpets utensils and etc etc. I'm afraid to book apartments online from now . What can you all do on this. You all jus take the money or we pay only half. After we view and stay the balance we pay on that 1st day if not the apartment cards can be seized by unable to use. This time the family trip specially chose hotel-style apartments. The three bedrooms and two halls are very spacious. The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, forks, spoons, refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, electric irons, and you can cook by yourself. This is the first choice for family trips. The location is also ok. In the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center area, take the pedestrian bridge to Babylon Square and the Petronas Twin Towers in about 15-20 minutes. This is a relatively new property located directly adjacent (or across the street, depending on how you look at it) to one of the newest attractions in Bukit Jalil, i.e. Pavilion 2. The hotel itself is situated within a retail mall known as Aurora Place, with multiple eateries and shop-lots available here, in addition to hundreds more at Pavilion, for the benefit/convenience of those who stay here. This was my first ever visit to Bukit Jalil... and to summarize the review of my two-night stay here, below are the major pros and cons of this hotel, based on my personal observations: Pros: 1. As mentioned in my 1st paragraph above, the location is extremely strategic. F&B places are easily accessible and mostly within walking distance. Plus, a simple matter of crossing a pedestrian walkway to get to the Pavilion Mall. 2. The rooms (or suites) here easily cater for travelers with small families, with two beds in each unit. 3. This being a relatively ”new” hotel, most of the furniture and fittings still look pretty new or are in good condition. 4. Lastly, the rooftop swimming pool offers a nice view of the surroundings (and also as far as the KL city skyline). Cons: 1. Probably the biggest letdown of staying here was the fact that the hotel does not subsidize parking fees for their guests; the reason being that the car park belongs to the Aurora Place mall and is therefore not under the hotel's management. However, with no other free or cheaper options available within the hotel's vicinity, the parking fees per day (and per night) do contribute a significant addition to your hotel fees here! 2. The hotel management also needs to put in more emphasis on pest control. I have managed to see ants and other ”creepy crawlies” either within my unit or outside at the corridors.

Location was great. Unit was suitable for families. Morshad Khan was very prompt and helpful on fee times we had challenges on checking in and wifi issues. Reservation Service Assistant is a bit inconvenient to contact and gave us the wrong door passcode and quite unable to resolve the wifi issue until Morshad came to help. Overall, the experience is good, Morshad made it better. Would appreciate if there was a brief proper orientation of the amenities of the unit.

The apartment itself is centrally located and there are good security/valet officers. It is about a 10 minutes drive to Mid Valley and the train station is nearby too. Payment is a breeze too and instructions are clear. There are a lot of good food too nearby if you care to walk. I find that this is the hotel for friends and families but the ”second floor” is pretty steep and not meant for very young children. It is more suitable for families with teenage children instead. There are enough facilities in the house too like Netflix. However, the walls were peeling leaving residue and cleanliness was a slight issue as there were hair here and there. There is also only one access card per room and this made it difficult if you are going out with friends (who wants to do their own things).

Eaton Mansion is actually a self-service apartment. There is no so-called hotel front desk. The hotel administrator will contact the guest one day in advance according to the contact number in the reservation information, and inform the guest of the room number and the method of receiving the room key card on the day of check-in. The guest will go to the apartment Check in on your own after getting the key card. There is no free storage space in the apartment. If you want to store it, you will need to pay an additional fee of MYR 30. The apartment is located near the business center. It is a 15-minute walk to the Petronas Twin Towers and the most prosperous commercial street in Kuala Lumpur? The room is fully equipped and the sanitary conditions are acceptable. It is hoped that Ctrip will more clearly outline the check-in procedures for Eaton Apartments and provide better services to customers.
