Facilities: The hotel is located right next to the City God Temple, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. From the room, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Bund's S-curve and the iconic three skyscrapers.
Service: During our stay for Chinese New Year, we received a lovely welcome gift of butterfly pastries, which delighted my elderly parents! We truly felt the warmth of Shanghai's hospitality. The front desk promptly contacted us after our room was cleaned, making it convenient for my parents to take their afternoon nap. They were very proactive and enthusiastic.
Breakfast: The dining area isn't large, but the variety is exquisite, showcasing the essence of Shanghainese culture.
Ambiance: The lobby is stunning and perfect for photos!
We had a wonderful stay over the holiday! The only minor inconvenience in this 'inch of land, inch of gold' city of Shanghai was when we were dropping off and picking up my parents during check-in and check-out. Even a short stop at the entrance incurred a parking fee, and the staff's attitude was firm (even after we explained we were just checking out). This was a bit off-putting during a holiday period. Otherwise, everything was great.

An excellent experience, my first time staying at this hotel. I booked two rooms for a family trip to Shanghai with elderly parents and children. From the moment we pulled up to the entrance and unloaded our luggage, we were impressed by the staff's diligent, responsible, and enthusiastic attitude. We had the hotel's set dinner, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it; the complimentary seafood congee for each person was especially fantastic! They even gave a gift to the child, which was a lovely surprise! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai. Highly recommended!

This five-star Marriott hotel boasts an excellent location, less than 100 meters walk from Zhongshan Park Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient for reaching the city center shopping districts and Hongqiao Airport.

The hotel was renovated in 2020, and its glass curtain wall exterior looks modern under the sun. The lobby features marble paired with gold artistic patterns and even jade sculptures, with high ceilings that give the whole space a luxurious yet grand feel.

Facilities are comprehensive. The indoor heated pool has clean water and an ideal temperature, perfect for a morning workout swim or a relaxing evening dip. The 24-hour gym offers a wide variety of well-maintained, new equipment, catering to diverse fitness needs. The guest rooms offer fantastic views, with some room types overlooking the vibrant cityscape of Shanghai. The room decor is simple yet elegant, and the bedding and bathroom amenities are standard Marriott quality, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Check-in is also very efficient, with no long waits. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, if you're planning to explore the Changning District, this hotel would be an excellent choice.

We stayed at Renaissance Shanghai Putuo at the end of November and honestly loved our time there. We booked the Premier Room and it was so spacious — perfect for a family with one child. The bath tub was such a plus too, especially after long days of exploring.

One of our favourite parts was the indoor heated pool. Even in fall/winter, we could still enjoy swimming every day, and the jacuzzi/whirlpool was amazing. A huge shoutout to the staff who take care of the swimming facilities — they were so kind and even made handmade origami birds to entertain my son. Such a sweet touch!

We stayed for 10 days and really enjoyed the area too. The underground metro is just a few steps away, and the food choices downstairs are endless. Super convenient for families.

Overall, a lovely stay — spacious room, warm staff, great facilities, and the perfect location for exploring Shanghai. Highly recommend for families ❤️✨

Really love how the staff were so attentive and helpful during our stay. The hotel has good facilities especially the gym room. Counter staffs were great and facilitated our check in and check out process so smoothly. Kudos to them and the cleaning ladies who made our holiday a pleasant one.

The location is close to the subway line 7 and it’s considered good in regards to the price.
Hotel is new and clean. Nice city view at the check in lobby. I like their rooftop bar and the LGA shuttle service.

Environment: The hotel environment is very good. A particularly good thing is that there are no buttons in the elevator and you can only swipe the room card, which prevents non-hotel residents from entering the hotel at will.

The location is also good. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to Korea Street, Times Square, and Broadway. There is also a subway station nearby, a 3-minute walk away.

Facilities and hygiene: Nothing wrong, everything is OK

I booked a king-size bed room with city view for two nights. The night view was good at night. I felt it was suitable for two people. This time, three people slept in the same bed. There wasn’t much room to put the takeaways, but the hotel was generally OK.

The location is OK, close to Chelsea, or just in Chelsea. The view is good, with a night view of Manhattan. The room is also quite big. Walk around for a few minutes and you will be at the famous gallery of Chelsea, which is also close to the highline. It depends on where you want to go. All in all, it's good, I like it.

The most important thing to remind you is that the hotel is located in Harlem, which is said to be a black community. You can check the security situation in the area online. I don't mean to discriminate against black people here. But the first night I arrived was around 7pm on the weekend. After getting off the bus, I felt that there were many people around the hotel and it was quite chaotic. The hotel reception was on the 5th floor. After checking the Internet in the room, I felt that I lived in the wrong place. I traveled by UBER in the next few days and didn't dare to take the subway. The hotel should be a high-end one nearby, and the Apollo Theater is next to it. I stayed for 5 or 6 days, but I didn't go around the hotel, so it's inconvenient to make too many comments. It's just that there are many black people outside the hotel, and beggars occasionally approached me. I didn't encounter any unpleasant things around the hotel.

Location & Transportation: Excellent.
Within a ten-minute walk, you can reach Wangfujing Street.
The hotel is also within a ten-minute walk to the subway station (it's located between China Art Museum and Jinyu Hutong stations on Subway Line 8).
There are several 'must-try' restaurants from the 'Must-Eat List' nearby, though the queues can be crazy.

Dining: I had both breakfast and dinner. The variety isn't huge, but several dishes were very tasty. For breakfast, my personal favorites were the pan-fried buns and roujiamo (Chinese meat burger). I also had a bowl of noodles every day (with many different toppings). The stir-fried dishes changed almost daily and were freshly made and delicious.

Service: Very generous, warm, and proactive.

Room Facilities: We had a twin room. The beds couldn't be pushed together, but thankfully, they were 1.4 meters wide, which was quite spacious.

I stayed for 3 nights in total, and overall, I'm quite satisfied! The room size, facilities, and location are all major pluses!

Just a small suggestion: food deliveries require self-pickup. Since I was on a high floor, I had to go down to the 4th floor, then transfer from the 4th floor to the 1st floor. When I was really tired, I absolutely didn't want to go downstairs, so at my request, the front desk did help me bring the delivery up. But I hope in the future, at the very least, they could use a robot for deliveries!

On my second day, when I extended my stay, I asked for the room to be cleaned before I returned, but when I came back, the room hadn't been touched. They did, however, handle it immediately afterward.

Overall, their service awareness and speed in resolving issues were quite timely. So, I'm generally satisfied.

The experience was fantastic, truly made us feel at home! First off, Chloe, who helped us check in, was amazing – professional yet friendly, and very pretty too! Secondly, the room decor was unique, with excellent and practical selections. The breakfast spread was also extensive, offering both hot and cold dishes, and the service was superb. We'd often arrive just as breakfast was about to end, but never received any dirty looks 😂. The hotel pool is heated, with clean water, and rarely crowded. Overall, it was a great stay! If I have the chance, I'll definitely choose to stay here again~
