Let's start with the positives: The location is convenient, just a four to five-minute walk to Haizhu Square subway station and about a fifteen-minute walk to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. You can even see the Canton Tower from the room. The staff provided excellent service, helping me receive and store a package, which I really appreciated. However, there are areas that I feel need improvement. In this day and age, as a four-star hotel, the room facilities are quite outdated. There's no voice control whatsoever; everything has to be done manually. The breakfast was very limited and the taste was just average. There were no Guangzhou-specific breakfast options.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Asia International Hotel. I was extremely satisfied with the overall experience. The breakfast was extensive and offered a wide variety of options, all while enjoying a beautiful panoramic view, which made the mornings even more special.
The swimming pool was also a great addition—clean, relaxing, and perfect to unwind after a busy day.
What stood out most was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, and communication in English was excellent, which made everything easy and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Decided to stay at a 5* hotel as it was my birthday.  Room was smaller than expected and the check in lady said room was upgraded which didn’t appear to be as room appeared to be basic. As it was my bday i asked the hotel if they had anything complimentary for someone celebrating their bday to which she said fruit platter then added some dim sum..acceptable but would be nice if they arranged without me asking.  
Hotel is a bit old and they were renovating so very noisy during day.  The breakfast was very good as had good variety of food.  Location is also convenient as 2 mins from metro.
Reception is big but not enough seats
All in all would hv expected something more for a 5* hotel

I booked an Executive Room, and it was unexpectedly perfect!

Service: I was escorted from the front desk on the first floor to the Executive Lounge on the third floor for check-in. It was quiet and efficient; I just sat comfortably and waited. The staff on this floor were noticeably a cut above – all tall, beautiful, and with lovely voices. They could all provide service in three languages, and their Cantonese was perfectly modulated, soft and soothing, truly melting your heart. While I was in a blissful daze, the staff even arranged a room upgrade and late check-out for me – super happy! 🥳

On the night of check-in, they gave us a welcome gift and a handwritten card as a small anniversary present. 🥰🥰🥰

Perhaps due to the late check-out service, the room card's magnetic strip had a slight issue, but it was resolved quickly and smoothly – excellent job!

Every staff member I encountered, at all levels, had genuinely radiant smiles, not forced at all. The entire team is well-trained, and the salaries and benefits must be good around here – truly living up to the 'White Swan' name. ☺️

Dual Executive Lounge Privileges: By the time we checked in, it was past afternoon tea, so we enjoyed the evening cocktail hour. There was a variety of basic mixes, and they could even make non-alcoholic versions for ladies and children. Besides small snacks, there were various Western appetizers, nuts, cookies, and cheese to pair with red wine. Vegetable salads and fruits were also available, along with Chinese dishes like chicken wings and braised ox tongue – you could easily have a full meal! 🤣 Unfortunately, we only had a little bite before heading to the pool.

Cleanliness: All mirrors and metal surfaces in the room were sparkling clean, the bathtub was spotless, and the bedding was soft and comfortable.

Facilities: The heated infinity pool has an accompanying hot tub and changing rooms with showers. The large towels were clean and soft. Right next to it is the spa, separated for men and women, with both dry and wet saunas. There are attendants to guide and introduce you, so you won't feel lost.

What's particularly worth mentioning is the landscaping. The gardeners have meticulously trimmed and maintained all the flowers and trees. The plants are thriving and blooming, with no obvious signs of being haphazardly planted and replaced when they die. Especially those very old staghorn ferns – their blossoms smell wonderful, giving a full tropical vibe. The Koi pond's water quality is excellent, and the fish are healthy and lively!

The White Swan finally showed me the true meaning of 'feeling at home.' When checking out, the staff member bid me farewell with 'see you next time,' and I genuinely look forward to it.

🌈Having stayed at so many places while sourcing goods in Guangzhou, this time the Baiyun City Hotel truly won my heart! It's just a 5-minute walk from Exit A of Guangzhou Railway Station Metro, so you don't have to lug heavy suitcases around. Across the street is the Baima Garment Market, so you can start shopping as soon as you cross the road 🛍️. The room isn't brand new, but after renovation, it's clean and bright. The floors and tabletops are dust-free, and the sheets and duvet are so soft I slept like a baby. There's also free self-service laundry and drying on the fourth floor. After a long day of shopping, you can just toss your dirty clothes in, go downstairs for a cup of tea, and they'll be ready to fold. It's super convenient for long-term travelers!

After my last stay at the Victory Hotel, I decided to try the Yuyi Hotel 🏨 for two nights, based on Manager Yi's recommendation! Bringing the kids along definitely didn't disappoint! Yuyi has a younger, more fashionable vibe, with a stronger sense of design and technology. The location is excellent! The extra paid breakfast for two mornings was also a thoughtful experience. The lady and chef in charge of breakfast were both incredibly nice. The breakfast was simple yet sophisticated, truly highlighting Guangzhou's culinary specialties. The front desk staff, represented by the lovely Miss Guo, were all very patient with guests and children, proactively offering kids' toothbrushes and slippers and greeting everyone with a smile. Room service was efficient and went above and beyond to meet guest needs. Even before our high-speed train arrived in Guangzhou, Manager Yi Shunni was already patiently answering our questions, effectively addressing all our unfamiliarity with the city! The Yuyi experience was also great! See you next time! ~~

Really loved this historic hotel. They even upgraded my room at check-in! The Cantonese restaurant downstairs, Xiguan Yue, was great, albeit a bit pricey. Ordering takeout was also very convenient. The entire Shamian Island has such a unique charm, with a lovely vibe during the day and a romantic atmosphere at night. The only thing is, being a historical building, the room size and facilities aren't quite up to par with more modern, newer hotels.

Staying at Bihailou feels like it's been recently renovated and re-planned. The breakfast selection is a bit richer than before.

Facilities: The room is very spacious and equipped with a tea set. The pool is relatively clean, but the changing rooms are basic – quite simple compared to a true five-star hotel.

Environment: Very good, nice greenery, and a great view.

Cleanliness: Decent.

Service: Generally satisfactory. I hope the doormen at Bihailou could be more attentive and diligent. They were on the phone during work hours and didn't proactively open the door when my car arrived. It's not about the ceremony, but when I walked past them with both hands full of luggage on my way out, they remained indifferent.

The hotel environment is first-class. The front desk ladies, Xiao Cao and Xiao Qiu, were incredibly thoughtful. They helped us upgrade to a lake-view twin room (I was traveling with my mother this time, and had originally booked a mountain-view room). In the evening, we ordered the 'tangzhuo' fragrant pork set meal at the lakeside restaurant. The pork was very aromatic with no ***** smell, and had a great texture. The fish was also very fresh and delicious. While the breakfast selection was a bit limited, for just over 300 a day, including breakfast, the environment and service offer excellent value for money. If you go in the summer, swimming and soaking in the hot springs would be a lot of fun. The air quality here is fantastic, and transportation is convenient with plenty of parking. You can also take the subway and then a short taxi ride from the station.

The overall hotel experience was excellent. The decor is simple yet elegant, with a refined style that's really pleasing to the eye. The room's cleanliness was top-notch; even the corners and crevices were spotless. The staff were warm, polite, and very responsive. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Overall, my stay was comfortable and reassuring.

I brought my mom here based on a travel blogger's recommendation. The blogger mentioned that the front desk helped with luggage upon arrival, but we didn't receive that service. The location is excellent; it's lovely to stroll along the river after dinner, and it's very convenient to get to the old town. We were given complimentary fruit. The cleanliness was just so-so, and some areas felt a bit dated. My main complaint is that the floors are thin, and the soundproofing from upstairs is poor. We unfortunately had children staying above us who were running barefoot at 11:30 PM, during naptime, and again at 6 AM. I reported it to the front desk staff, hoping they could speak to them, but instead of potentially offending the guests, they offered to move us to another room. I declined because I didn't want the hassle of packing and moving all our luggage. Unfortunately, the noise continued on the second night. This was quite bothersome to me.

The hotel is located in Songkou Ancient Town, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The location is excellent. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and even more picturesque on rainy days. 😍😍
The hotel is a renovated historic building, and some of the design elements (such as the windows) retain their nostalgic character. 🏠🏠 The rooms are bright, clean, and very comfortable.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, sharing detailed information about nearby attractions. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was pouring rain when we checked out, but the front desk staff not only reminded us to drive to the hotel's location, but also held an umbrella for us and helped us load our luggage into the car. Very thoughtful. 🥰🥰🥰

The room was very spacious with a great ambiance and good soundproofing, so we weren't disturbed during our rest. The service was also very attentive, and we even received small gifts like a fridge magnet and a keychain upon check-in – really thoughtful! 

**Facilities:** Besides being well-equipped, the underground parking garage has charging stations, there are USB ports on both sides of the bed, and the shower room, with its wet-dry separation, even has hooks for hanging clothes. So many thoughtful details! Definitely worth commending and recommending!

**Hygiene:** The entire room was very neat and clean.

**Service:** Extremely thoughtful. From check-in to check-out, everything was attentive. They even specially changed our room because of road construction outside.

The hotel had a lot of character, and I was genuinely pleased upon check-in. However, my check-out day turned into a huge disappointment. To my astonishment, a power outage caused us to miss breakfast and, consequently, our high-speed train.
This was my first time encountering a hotel that had no emergency power supply. We were traveling with an elderly person in a wheelchair, and without an elevator, it's hard to convey how incredibly challenging it was to get down from the third floor, step by agonizing step.
I'm truly appalled that a hotel could operate without backup power!
