We stayed at Hotel Landmark Canton Guangzhou for 4 nights and had a very enjoyable and comfortable experience.

We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Club Room. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the toilet was very clean. One thing that really stood out was the service from our room attendant. He remembered that we did not drink coffee and, instead of leaving the usual coffee supplies, he thoughtfully provided us with extra tea bags every day. It was a small gesture, but it showed great attention to detail and made us feel well taken care of.

We also enjoyed having breakfast at a discounted rate. Another fun part of our stay was using the hotel's robots to deliver food to our room. It was a unique experience and something we really enjoyed.

The concierge team was also very helpful. At one point, my luggage somehow got stuck and I couldn't open it, but the concierge kindly helped me get it open. I really appreciated his patience and assistance.

Overall, it was a pleasant, comfortable, and memorable 4-night stay. The thoughtful service from the staff made a real difference to our experience. I would definitely consider returning to Hotel Landmark Canton the next time I visit Guangzhou.

The location is excellent, and the front desk staff were quite welcoming. My flight was delayed, so I didn't arrive until after midnight, but they kindly extended my check-out time, which I really appreciated. The room size was decent, and there were many foreign guests staying. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old. I was taking a shower when three or four staff members knocked on my door asking if I had been smoking and triggered the smoke alarm. It was truly speechless. I hope they improve the facilities and service quality.

This is a very well-known five-star hotel, once the tallest building in Guangzhou. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. Although the hotel has a long history, all facilities have been kept in great condition after renovations. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff greeted me warmly and upgraded my room, and the elevator attendant proactively pressed the button for me. They really pay attention to the details.

I really love this classic State Guesthouse. The White Swan Hotel has a deep-rooted history, and the staff are all very professional and well-qualified. For dinner, we went to the Jade Garden restaurant on the third floor. We got a table right away without waiting, around 5:15 PM. There was a live guzheng performance for 45 minutes, and hotel guests get a 15% discount on food, plus a 15% service charge. Our meal for two cost 1075 yuan.

We stayed in a river view room. The blackout curtains worked great, so no sunlight came through in the morning. The shower had excellent water pressure, making for a comfortable wash.

What was unpleasant, however, was the service at the bakery on the first floor. A tall female staff member, upon hearing I wanted to buy a Napoleon cake to send home, immediately told me it couldn't be shipped. She claimed they'd had incidents where customers complained about expired food after shipping, blaming the delivery person. I told her that if I chose to ship it, I would accept the risk of spoilage and she needn't worry. She insisted I call SF Express to confirm if they would ship Napoleon cakes. I made the call, and the courier arrived quickly to pick up the package. Plus, SF Express offers next-day air delivery. It's not necessary for the bakery staff to play the role of a know-it-all when it comes to potential disputes with couriers later on. If I couldn't ship it, I'd just eat it myself. Why make a customer who has traveled so far so unhappy? Why create so many hurdles just to sell a cake? I really don't understand. Her well-intentioned advice, which crossed professional boundaries, was unnecessary. A simple reminder would have sufficed. If I couldn't ship it, would she have refused to sell it to me? It's such a simple process: the customer wants to buy bread, you scan the code and take payment. This was truly bizarre.

Very close to Guangzhou Station, the hotel has been renovated and the facilities are new. Although the room isn't big, the layout is decent and everything you need is there. It's also convenient for dining nearby, making it a good value for business trips.

I absolutely loved this hotel! The bedding was clean and fresh, and the decor style really spoke to me. The hotel is perfectly situated on Shamian Island, making the location fantastic. It's super convenient for getting around, with the metro station very close by. Taking a leisurely stroll around the island in the evening was incredibly atmospheric. You can spot all sorts of European historical buildings everywhere, and every photo you take turns out great – it's so relaxing and therapeutic.

First off, the hotel's location right on Shamian Island is fantastic, with Shamian Island Scenic Street just downstairs – perfect for photos! (Just a heads-up for subway users: if you're coming from Huangsha station, you'll have to lug your luggage up and down stairs to cross a pedestrian bridge, which is quite a struggle! I wonder if the hotel could offer a luggage assistance service near the subway exit; I'm sure many guests would appreciate it.)

Secondly, the front desk service was absolutely outstanding! A special shout-out to Ms. Chen Yijie – her service was impeccable, patient, meticulous, and thoughtful. Five stars for her, truly wonderful!

Lastly, the room size, soundproofing, and breakfast were all pretty good! What you see is what you get. Wishing the hotel great success!

This is probably my second stay at Guangdong Guest House; the first was ten years ago, right before my child turned six. It's an established government-run hotel, and the service and environment are impeccable. I remember first encountering it back in 2002 during the Canton Fair, when the Shenzhen Economic and Trade Commission's Guangzhou liaison office was located here. Although it's in a bustling area, the interior environment is quiet and peaceful. Chairman Mao and Premier Zhou both visited here. This used to be a general's mansion during the Qing Dynasty. Behind the hotel is the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees, and Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is just a twenty-minute walk away. It's convenient in every aspect. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel environment is first-class. The front desk ladies, Xiao Cao and Xiao Qiu, were incredibly thoughtful. They helped us upgrade to a lake-view twin room (I was traveling with my mother this time, and had originally booked a mountain-view room). In the evening, we ordered the 'tangzhuo' fragrant pork set meal at the lakeside restaurant. The pork was very aromatic with no ***** smell, and had a great texture. The fish was also very fresh and delicious. While the breakfast selection was a bit limited, for just over 300 a day, including breakfast, the environment and service offer excellent value for money. If you go in the summer, swimming and soaking in the hot springs would be a lot of fun. The air quality here is fantastic, and transportation is convenient with plenty of parking. You can also take the subway and then a short taxi ride from the station.

The service was excellent; the staff at the restaurant, lobby, and even the doorman were all very attentive. The location is fantastic – right next to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and the subway station is just a 3-minute walk away. Beijing Road Pedestrian Street is only about 10 minutes away, making dining very convenient. I did see comments about the carpet having an odor and the furniture being old, and those points are true. However, I still believe in the quality of a 4-star hotel, and I was very satisfied overall.

I brought my mom here based on a travel blogger's recommendation. The blogger mentioned that the front desk helped with luggage upon arrival, but we didn't receive that service. The location is excellent; it's lovely to stroll along the river after dinner, and it's very convenient to get to the old town. We were given complimentary fruit. The cleanliness was just so-so, and some areas felt a bit dated. My main complaint is that the floors are thin, and the soundproofing from upstairs is poor. We unfortunately had children staying above us who were running barefoot at 11:30 PM, during naptime, and again at 6 AM. I reported it to the front desk staff, hoping they could speak to them, but instead of potentially offending the guests, they offered to move us to another room. I declined because I didn't want the hassle of packing and moving all our luggage. Unfortunately, the noise continued on the second night. This was quite bothersome to me.

The hotel is located in Songkou Ancient Town, making it convenient for exploring the surrounding area. The location is excellent. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and even more picturesque on rainy days. 😍😍
The hotel is a renovated historic building, and some of the design elements (such as the windows) retain their nostalgic character. 🏠🏠 The rooms are bright, clean, and very comfortable.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, sharing detailed information about nearby attractions. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It was pouring rain when we checked out, but the front desk staff not only reminded us to drive to the hotel's location, but also held an umbrella for us and helped us load our luggage into the car. Very thoughtful. 🥰🥰🥰

The location is fantastic, right at the entrance of Paifang Street near the South Gate of the ancient city, making it super convenient for daily strolls. The service exceeded our expectations; there was a butler available online at all times who was incredibly quick to resolve any issues or requests. They even came across the road to pick us up, and when we checked out and wanted to sightsee first, the butler kindly delivered our luggage to the driver. We also received some unique local souvenirs, which my child absolutely loved.

The family room was spacious, with two large beds that were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was clean and easy to use, and the room came with plenty of complimentary snacks, fruits, and drinks. The rooftop offers panoramic views of the ancient city, perfect for photos!

Breakfast was just okay; we skipped it on the second day and went to explore the ancient city for food instead.

The hotel isn't in the bustling city center, which makes it pretty quiet. It's about 8 kilometers to Guangji Bridge and Paifang Street. The decor is quite modern and looks clean and tidy. Parking is also very convenient. For over 1000 RMB on Chinese New Year's Day, it was a pretty good value-for-money option during the Spring Festival. Even though there were a lot of guests recently, including tour groups, the front desk and restaurant staff handled everything seamlessly. On the contrary, their attitude was friendly and well-organized, and the restaurant cleared tables and dishes incredibly quickly. Highly recommend! The young lady at the front desk, whose surname I think was Huang (I peeked at her name tag), was very pretty and had a lovely smile. She explained everything in great detail, no matter how small. So, when it comes to service, it really depends on the individual staff, not just the hotel's star rating.
