Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch.

The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel.

The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel.

Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere.

The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch.

Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation.

Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

Our family stayed for three nights and were very satisfied. First, let's talk about the location. It's just a few minutes' walk downstairs to Nanping Pedestrian Street, Baoshan Street, and Nanqiang Road. Crossing Nanping Street takes you to Kunming Old Street. It couldn't be more convenient for food, drinks, and entertainment! The hotel room was very clean, and the facilities didn't feel old or worn out; everything worked smoothly. The service absolutely deserves praise. There were welcome fruits and snacks, and the front desk, concierge, restaurant, and cleaning staff were all very courteous and polite. There's both underground and above-ground parking available, and it's free during your stay, which is very convenient if you're driving.

I rarely leave reviews on Trip.com, but Kunming Haitian Hotel truly deserves a detailed one!

**Location:** The hotel is located right in the heart of Kunming, at the intersection of Tuodong Road and Beijing Road, near Tangzixiang Metro Station exits E and F (Lines 2 and 6). Exit E is just a short turn downstairs from the hotel, and Exit F is directly across the street. Whether by metro, taxi, or bus, getting around is incredibly convenient. Wujing Road, right next to the hotel, is a residential area with a variety of eateries and a small market. The strawberries and blueberries there were delicious and even better value than those at Donghua. There's also a great restaurant called 'Metro Exit Restaurant' near Exit F, serving good food – we ate there several times. The hotel is opposite the Kunming Public Security Bureau and behind either a police station or traffic police brigade, giving you a strong sense of security!

**Environment:** The lobby is elegant and grand, offering complimentary hot tea and water, and even has a designated indoor smoking area. The festive New Year's decorations were lovely, with horse-themed mini-games and DIY craft activities in the lobby, which were a big hit with the kids staying at the hotel. My daughter basically wanted to stay in the lobby doing crafts every day and didn't want to go back to the room. The hotel also has a laundry room and a gym, both accessible with your room card. Drinking water is provided in both areas, and the gym even has clean towels – a very thoughtful touch.

**Cleanliness:** We booked a family twin room, which was spotless and tidy. The two 1.3-meter beds, pushed together, were perfectly spacious for two adults and two children. The bedding felt clean and fresh. The bathroom was family-friendly; the sink and toilet heights were just right for kids, and the faucet had a cute pink elephant attachment that prevented splashes. While the bathroom size was a bit compact, it was impeccably clean.

**Service:** Ex! Ce! Llent! The moment we stepped into the hotel, a young man quickly came forward to help us with our luggage. While checking in, a friendly young lady offered us hot tea. A special thank you to the Assistant Lobby Manager, who proactively helped us coordinate shuttle bus seats to Haigeng when our itinerary unexpectedly changed! Thanks to Mr. Kuang Hao, who promptly found an extension cord and brought it to our room, accompanied the children doing crafts every day, carefully looked after them, and politely declined my sincere New Year's red packet. My daughter specifically told me to give him a five-star review! And thanks to the driver who took us to Haigeng on the morning of the 21st – he enthusiastically recommended many routes to us; he was so warm and friendly. Thank you to every staff member we encountered during our six-day stay; each interaction was met with a smile, polite treatment, and a willingness to help with anything we needed.

This trip to Kunming was enjoyable and unforgettable, partly because we chose Haitian Hotel. Back to work tomorrow, but we'll try to see you again this summer!!

The room was spotless and well-maintained, feeling very new. It's super convenient, just a 10-minute walk to Metro Line 5. You can easily stroll to famous old restaurants like Kuiyuan Hall and Zhiweiyuan, and even walk to West Lake Scenic Area. It's a great choice whether you're traveling for leisure or business. Plus, the breakfast had a wide variety and tasted delicious!

We stayed at this hotel during the May Day holiday and were very satisfied. The suite was huge, with two bedrooms, a living room, and three bathrooms – the kids absolutely loved it. The cleaning staff were very proactive and kept the room spotless. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Hangzhou Railway Station, making transportation very convenient. The entrances to Metro Line 1 and Line 5 are within 100 meters, and it's also a short walk to attractions like Hu Xueyan's Former Residence. However, the seafood buffet dinner wasn't great; we went at 7 PM, and many dishes were already gone, with no refills. If you plan to go, I'd recommend getting there early. Overall, our stay was a very good experience.

I booked a smart king room, and the front desk staff upgraded me to a newly renovated suite from a few years ago. Since it was recently renovated, it was very clean – excellent! I always stay at Zhonghao when I go to Jinan; the environment is really good. Both the floor staff and front desk staff are very friendly. The breakfast offers a good variety, but it's not as good as before. The cleanliness of the tables really needs improvement; they were sticky and had oil stains.
