Novotel Charleroi Centre

Charleroi|0.39km from city center
If you have visited several Novotels, you are used to certain standards, from both room, staff and bar/restaurant. In Charleroi, unfortunately, only the room was made: the mine was super-sized, clean, modern and handy furnished. The shower was the best ever, and the (separate) bath was faster than I had ever seen (and that at the highest floor!) The choice of breakfast buffet was quite limited: especially fruit and vegetables were missing. The coffee machines were outside the breakfast room (best unhappy) and one of the two was defect every four days of my stay (very unhappy). The quality of coffee was consistent with the quality of the other breakfast products: moderate to average. The staff, which is very much praised in the reviews, must have been on holidays in a collective manner. The receptionists I found were uninterested, unpleasantly turned up their standard dresses and bloated out only in the active non-health of the guests when they passed. Even eye contact was too difficult, but the city itself was much more beautiful (or less ugly) than expected: in particular the centre and station area are very beautifully decorated in an invitation style. The majority of the people have not yet developed, and I have not yet met so many underdeveloped people in any Belgian city as this. If you want to visit any city in Hengegouwa, then Mons (Bergen) is a more wise and safer choice. You can walk on the street after ”closure time” without being contacted (by bearers) or called (by hang youths). In Charleroi you will be best inside at 19.00 hour, with the door closed. ;-)

Auberge de Jeunesse Charleroi Youth Hostel

Being a frequent traveler I have stayed in many hostel all around the world but I found this the best so far. Yes it is little expensive but believe me with inflation of economy around the world and also here I think it is a reasonable price. Hostel is itself located at the walking distance from the Charleroi central station which makes you even convenient to travel around. Breakfast is good, they provide free water in reception also a little bar they have if you are tired from long travel and want to have a beer even cheaper price than supermarket. If you wanted to eat around side of the hostel I found a restaurant cause tacos recommended by the reception staff. Of course how can I forget about the staff they all speak English and always smiling makes you feel very welcome and comfortable, will assist you with any queries without any hesitation. My room was bed with 6 dormitories comfy bed and charging socket next to you and also separate toilet and bathroom for 6 of us very clean and tidy. I would definitely come back and recommend all to go and stay in this hostel. 6 euros and 7 min ride from bus to the central Charleroi and then walking distance Well done team and see you again. Merci be-coup 😄😄
Hotel South Charleroi Airport

The hotel facilities are good, the rooms and beds are good. When you stay at the hotel, the host will ask you for the flight, so that you can use the private van to take you to the Southern Charleroi Airport the next day. The only downside is that the location of the hotel is a bit biased. There is no direct car when you check in. You must first arrive at the Southern Charleroi Airport by car and then walk 5.5 km (navigate yourself) to get to the hotel.

We were attracted to this facility by the fact that it is declared to be 300 metres from Charleroi airport.. unfortunately the 300 metres have been revealed a few km .. About 3 and a half ...Then you need to use taxi shipping service or eventually have a own means for which at least there is free parking. This very kind staff, the structure is beautiful but of course as ”support” for the road from and for the airport without too much expectation.

Ibis Charleroi Centre Gare

Booked this hotel as our flight was cancelled and thought it would be best to spend the night in the city instead of the airport. It’s our own fault for booking this place I would t even give this hotel a 1 star it honestly is so bad. You can see it from the bus terminal and it looks really old and dirty from outside the reception looks old and dated but it doesn't look that dirty once you take the lift you notice how bad it really is. The carpets are all stained and then the rooms so our room was on the 4th floor I would go as far to say it’s the worse room I have ever stayed in. The air conditioning isn’t working. It’s so small the bed looks disgusting the sheets look clean. If we could afford to leave and get another room we would. Do not stay here you will honestly regret it. Stay somewhere else we panicked as our flight was cancelled and rushed to get a room for the night biggest mistake. Area around hotel is also very ropey looking lots off people just hanging outside
