The hotel is situated on the edge of a housing estate, which is very quiet and safe. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious. The breakfast is perfectly adequate with the normal selection of pan au chocolat, croissants, breads, cereals, fruit etc. The car park is quite large and safe. There are several restaurants within walking distance, Courtepaille being some 10 minutes away. One setback for elderly/infirm people is that there is no lift to the upper floors.

GOOD: Room furnishings, carpet matches the furniture wonderfully, everything Nordic-chic, comfortable bed, very good pillows, excellent wifi! Friendly staff, great location on the water (definitely book river side with balcony!) Free parking, coffee 4 capsules in the room, left a very good impression! I will recommend this hotel and am already looking forward to the next visit in May, June this year. NOT GOOD: Showering in the tub is only possible for people ＜ 1,80 M in a stooped position, because the rainforest shower hangs quite low. Even without this shower head, you have to bend down because the hose is only very short. The water in the hand basin only gets a little warm after several minutes (in fact, it takes almost 4 minutes with the water running....), whereas the water in the tub only takes the usual seconds to do so. By the way, I always wonder about the point of integrating a rainforest shower into a bathtub? A rainforest shower belongs in a shower so that you can experience this ”effect”. Standing at an angle in the bathtub with a distance of only a few centimetres from the wall is completely pointless for a rainforest shower.....

I am arrived at the hotel very late in the night after midnight and I had the worse experience of my life upon check-in. The receptionist asked me to charge the room or to pre-authorize the payment with my credit card, but probably something in the network was not working and 3 credit cards of mines were always refused, and even the one of my colleague. Then she told me to go to the ATM to the cinema (at 00.30 of the night) to cash some money to pay, after speaking with her director on the phone, and neither the ATM was working. I've spoken with the director who refused to let me in untill the payment was done, and he could guess after the description of the situation that something was wrong with the network. As a matter of fact, I have had to wait for a lucky trial when finally their terminal woke up and I was given the room 40 minutes later, very tired and very nervous. This is the most EXTREME RUDE behaviour that I have seen in my whole professional life, and my explanations that we come here regularly once every 2-3 months, as we work with a local company that could anyway settle the bill in case of troubles, were useless for this man. I am unwilling to come here again, after such bad experience, and to me it is a case history about loosing a customer.
