Chengdu Hostels

This all-female hostel I stayed at was generally good. Being an all-girls hostel, it was very quiet at night. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was just the right firmness, and the curtains provided excellent blackout for privacy. The bathroom had good water pressure and was well-maintained. Overall, it felt safe, clean, and had a nice atmosphere. It's great value for money, making it an excellent choice for travelers or those needing long-term accommodation on a limited budget. I'd definitely choose this place again if I need a hostel; it's a safe bet.

This is a large accommodation located near Chunxi Road. The lobby has dining areas, workspaces, and even a study room. There's also an outdoor balcony, and it's strictly non-smoking indoors, which is great! It's very close to the subway station, just a five to six-minute walk to Chunxi Road Exit E1. The toilets are squat toilets, and the shower rooms are very clean (though disposable toiletries are not provided, so you need to bring your own). There are separate male and female sections, and you need to swipe your card to enter and exit, so the security is quite high.

It is very close to Dujiangyan South Bridge. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, so it is a good place to eat. When traveling to an unfamiliar place, there are so many things you don't know. However, the host provided travel information, even about the smallest details, which was very helpful. The entrance looks a bit shabby, but once you go inside, although the facilities are old, they are neatly organized.

This hostel has a great location and is very convenient for transportation. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service is attentive, making for a very pleasant stay. Most importantly, the price is really affordable. Highly recommend!

Good location: local market with cheap fruits nearby, many local food, quite close to metro. Big and comfortable beds with curtains. Everything is fresh and clean. Spacious rooftop. No towel is provided.

The hostel was in a great location, near the metro and chunxi road. The bed was comfortable and you have a locker that you can unlock with your room key. However, the bathrooms were FILTHY. I stayed for 4 nights and every day and every night it was dirty ( counter full of things, old toothpaste tubes, wate splashed everywhere), toilets with overflowing bins ( squat toilets only) and smelly... Was cheap so can't complain too much but probably wouldn't stay here again. Seems to be mostly a chinese crowd who stays there long term as I was the only foreigner there my whole stay.

I chose this hostel for my trip to Chengdu, and my stay far exceeded my expectations. The location is truly unbeatable. It's very close to the metro station, within walking distance, making it super convenient to get to Wenshu Monastery and all the major city attractions. Getting around was a breeze, and it's great value for money. I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, and the overall environment was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a good rest after a long day of exploring. The amenities were also very thoughtful, with a laundry room and a gym, which was incredibly practical for washing clothes and getting some exercise during my trip. The biggest surprise was the public area on the ground floor. By day, it's a quiet cafe, and by night, it transforms into a bar with a fantastic atmosphere. There are even live singers performing in the evenings – the 'cafe by day, bar by night' concept was right up my alley. Sitting down to listen to music and have a drink melted away a lot of my travel fatigue. I also met many travelers from different places here, including quite a few international guests. Everyone chatted about their travel experiences, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Overall, my experience was fantastic. It's suitable for both solo travelers and those with friends. I honestly recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu.

I stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

At fhe first, I could bot find the hotel, but I talked to the owner and she was so kind and promptly videocalled me and gave me instructions how to get to the hotel which is near to the bus station. The location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby you have a park, many restaurants, pharmacy, bus station. The hotel has some local people many of them were very friendly to me, we shared the food and sit next to each other for some time and talked in chinese. The owner of the hotel can speak English and she will give the clients the best service, she is really outspoken, caring and kind. The bathroom is public, you can share it with others, you can wash your clothes and then hang it. I enjoyed my staying, it is like a dormitory, you have your own bed, but you share the room with the others as the same gender as you.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel in Chengdu. The location was convenient for getting around, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and I met some interesting people. There were no unnecessary hassles, making the whole trip enjoyable and relaxing. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Chengdu.
